Sharing Christian books

A few months ago there was a Christian book I particularly wanted to read and it struck me that someone in my church surely must own it, I just didn't know who. I then thought that it would be useful to have a website where members of a church can list books that they own and are willing to lend, such that one can search the list, contact the owner and save some money!

This has now become reality - Sharedbookshelves.com. Sign up and get others in your church interested!

Tags: Christian, book

Internet tethering with iPhone for O2 UK

With iPhone OS 3 (only available to developers at the moment) you can tether your phone to a laptop and access the internet via 3G! This is all legal and above board. For O2 Pay and Go (or PAYG) users based in UK, you just need a file called o2_uk.ipcc. Download it, then email it to yourself and open the attachment with your iPhone. Restart and go to settings, general, network, and enable internet tethering. When you connect to your laptop via usb it should detect a new network device!

Tags: iPhone

Death and The Kings Horseman

I saw a play by Wole Soyinka recently called Death and The King's Horseman. It's based on a real incident that took place in Nigeria during colonial rule when the ritual suicide of the horseman of an important chief was prevented by the intervention of the British authorities. It's on at the National Theatre and highly recommended as it's very thought-provoking!

Tags: play, theatre, death

Download Skype for iPhone

It's finally here! iPhone Skype is now available to download. It worked well earlier, although a couple of times there was no sound... There's no video conferencing yet and some other features are missing, but nevertheless it's good to have.

Tags: iPhone, Skype

How to buy a car on eBay

A friend of mine bought a car (a Mercedes Z3 in fact) on the online auction site recently and got a really good deal. It's a great way to get a bargain, as long as you do some research.

There are lots of cars on eBay. Have a browse around eBay Motors.
