Delivery of messages sent to Gmail accounts are still being delayed, some reports of which note 6 hour delays. There have been a couple of Google-side outages, which may be related. Next update when we have more information.

Correction to the earlier update: Gmail has been experiencing service issues. This is causing messages sent from Ning Networks to take longer to reach Gmail accounts. Gmail is working on clearing things up at this time. This will result in delayed delivery of messages to Gmail accounts. This should clear up after a while. Next update when we have more information.

Messages sent from a Ning Network to a Gmail account are currently being blocked. This is resulting in delayed or undelivered messages. Our on-call team is working on resolving this issue with Gmail at this time. Next update in an hour.

Missing or Delayed Email Notifications [Update 8]

Our on-call team has fixed the issue discovered in the Email Digest Beta feature. As a result, a small percentage of messages from May 29, 2012, were purged. People should now receive all messages they’ve opted in to from a network, with the Email Digest Beta feature enabled or disabled. This fix should resolve most messaging issues on the platform.

Missing or Delayed Email Notifications [Update 7]

Our on-call team is working on resolving the issue discovered in the Email Digest Beta feature. As such, a small percentage of messages from today will be purged. This fix should resolve most messaging issues on the platform. Anything sent from a Ning Network after this fix is released should reach recipients successfully.

Some email notifications are missing or delayed [Update 6]

Our on-call team has now improved the issue networks have been experiencing with delayed or undelivered messages. These messages are now being sent out successfully. As a result, people may encounter an influx of messages coming through. This is to be expected and will quiet down shortly.

We have also determined that, since the Email Digest Beta feature is still affecting the delivery of new messages, networks are advised to disable this Beta feature in order for new messages to be delivered successfully.

Our engineers are still investigating this messaging issue. The Email Digest Beta feature appears to affect delivery of messages, so Network Creators are currently advised to disable this feature for the time being.

Some networks may also notice an increase in delivery of messages from the past week as the message backlog gets sent. Next update will be posted here.

Our engineers are continuing to make progress on this messaging issue. An issue with the Email Digest beta feature may be at fault on some networks, so Network Creators can test delivery with that feature disabled in Ning Labs. Next update will be posted here.

Earlier today we found that old, corrupted messages were blocking the delivery of some emails. Our engineering team has now cleared these messages and we are seeing improvement in delivery and receipt of messages. We will continue to monitor the email notifications to ensure that they are being sent consistently. Next update will be posted here.
