The danger from radon gas will not be increased as a result of the pole shift. Radon gas is emitted by rock containing uranium, which is degrading. How Crisis Reshapes Society, Community, and Human Priorities

According to ZetaTalk, Earth’s Social Transformation marks a move away from established, material-driven systems toward smaller, self-reliant communities built on cooperation, service, and shared survival.

What is the Transformation? The Earth is undergoing a subtle transformation, as the Transformation is now. This Transformation has been progressing for at least this century and will go for at least a century more. Transformations occur for many reasons. One reason is that the great majority of the entities native to the planet have reached an orientation decision, and are ready to proceed with other lessons, and 3rd Density planets are checked periodically as to their readiness for harvest in this regard. Another reason is administrative, and that is why the Earth is undergoing its Transformation now. The majority of those on Earth have not yet reached their orientation decision, but will be moved to another planet, as the Earth has been designated as a future home for Service-to-Other oriented entities. The coming pole shift will expedite this process simply by the fact that 90% of the populace will die, either during the shift or shortly thereafter.

To qualify for Service-to-Other orientation, an entity must consider others as often as the self. To qualify for Service-to-Self, the entity must focus on the self 95% of the time, almost exclusively. Where it may seem that these individuals would stand out, some very diplomatic and cultured people are of this category. They are able to disguise their self interest in condescension to others. They are able to disguise their self-interest as the interests of the other. During 3rd Density, entities must decide their spiritual orientations - Service-to-Self or Service-to-Others. Most, the vast majority, decide the latter on almost all 3rd Density worlds. This decision, or the lesson of 3rd Density as it is called, needs to precede almost all other lessons, as mixing the two spiritual orientations together creates chaos and thus other lessons cannot proceed. Many humans on Earth are choosing the Service-to-Other orientation, and mid-incarnation are thus joining the ranks of the Service-to-Others. This occurred in the past as well.

The world involves an increasing separation, by orientation, as the Transformation proceeds. The mix of Service-to-Other and Service-to-Self, and the proportion of undecided, will not change much as the cataclysms near and times get tough. Where some of the undecided will rise to the challenge and move into the Service-to-Others category, there will be others, operating in the Service-to-Other mode when things are comfortable, who will find their self-focus increasing as their insecurities increase. Some, a very few, who are operating in the Service-to-Self mode, will find the troubled times pulling at their hearts, and will move back into the undecided category. A greater number will find their selfish nature accentuating during difficult times, and like those on the Titanic, will push all others aside to save themselves. They will move into the Service-to-Self category. So, you see that the numbers will move about a bit but essentially remain unchanged.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency issued an earthquake early warning with a reported magnitude of 9.9 but canceled it minutes later. The USGS measured the quake at 6.9. The Zetas have long claimed that the USGS reduces earthquake magnitudes by at least three magnitudes.

7.4‑magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on August 10, 2026, causing major destruction across multiple cities — including Manizales, which suffered structural damage and at least two confirmed deaths.

As of late, I have observed that USGS and EMSC are a bit lax on their reports of earthquakes. Sometimes not seeing anything reported for hours from the last update, or seeing periods of 90-200 minutes with no earthquakes in between. My question is, are they leaving swarms of earthquakes out of their reports, or there are actually periods of no earthquakes?

SOZT: Greater than 90% of the earthquake activity is being altered by the USGS at present, which is under orders to prevent any clue being given to the public about the Earth changes caused by the presence of Planet X. Over a decade ago, the approach was to de-sensitize the live seismographs periodically, so the displays do not turn black worldwide, and to ignore the twice-a-day patterns showing up on these seismographs. Then any quakes that could be dropped were dropped. This was obvious to some who were watching the database manipulation. Quakes in the list would suddenly disappear. This was particularly the case where a quake happened in a remote location, or out in the ocean. Dumbing down the magnitude quickly followed, but in order to ensure the public did not notice, the USGS took control of all websites reporting quake statistics. At times, this control breaks, and discrepancies are reported to the public. Some countries rebel. Quake swarms are another source of control, as they pepper the databases with many quakes and skew the statistics, and thus are pulled from the database. Else the question is raised, why so many? Will the USGS internet system be a reliable warning system for the European tsunami by registering on the net the New Madrid earthquake on the exact time it occurs?

SOZT: It will not be a lack of information from the USGS that will be the point of confusion during the earthquakes leading up to the New Madrid adjustment, it will be knowing which quake is the big one vs the many minor quakes preceding it. The USGS downgrades almost all earthquakes, to prevent meaningful statistics from being generated from their databases. They also exclude quakes whenever they can, but this is unlikely to happen in the New Madrid area as it is in the center of a populated land mass. Thus you will have magnitude 6 quakes that will be called a 5.2, magnitude 7 quakes called a 6.1, and when a magnitude 8 or greater quake occurs, it will be called a 6.9.

We would advise that rather than watching the USGS quake statistics, that you watch the Earth changes. The adjustment that will incite the European tsunami will involve bridges on the Mississippi breaking, and being impassable. The land to the west of the Mississippi will drop so that the Mississippi will become 50 miles wide in the state of Mississippi. Watch for this. The New Madrid adjustment will be several large quakes of magnitude 8-9, though will be listed as a lesser magnitude. As the N American continent continues to unzip up to and along the Seaway, the quakes will be less than a magnitude 8 but very destructive to Cleveland and Toledo and Buffalo and the inland locks along the Seaway. Thus it is not what the USGS says that should be watched, but the condition of the bridges on the Mississippi, the impact on the cities along the Seaway, and whether the inland locks are reported as inoperable. ZetaTalk Confirmation 12/12/2025: These images are in 2D and thus show the scene at a distance as well as the scene playing out on the outer edge of the Earth’s atmosphere which is increasingly hosting burning Petrol which has just gained enough oxygen to burn. Nibiru is centered below the Sun, with the vast tail wafting to the left and right as well as dropping below toward Earth. As Nibiru draws closer, details such as the Dominant Moons on either side will be seen in more detail.

The large orbs amid a burning Petro Storm below are not planets but a fire storm from burning Petrol on the Atmosphere’s surface. This is the confusion engendered when seeing images in 2D when they include both near and far objects. Eventually the Petrol Storm on the surface will even out and become Sky Glow from horizon to horizon, accompanied by a fog horn sound from the vibrating atmosphere being heated and cooled repeatedly in succession.

I've thought of an action list for the community I live in.
This would include sending teenagers out to locate section of siding or roof tops to be used for temporary lean-to's, to keep survivors out of the rain.
And collecting bedding thrown about by the hurricane force winds, pulling the mattresses under the lean-to's and hanging the bedding up to dry out of the drizzle and rain that is expected worldwide.
And young children could find crockery, unbroken, wash these so a communal meal might be planned, almost made into a festive affair for these young children.
Refrigerators should be emptied before their contents can spoil, and any farm animals injured during the hour of the shift and needing to be put down could be prepared for a community barbeque.
Of course, those able to work with the injured, do first aid or medical procedures, should be engaged in these activities from the first moments.
Others can be involved in locating the dead and getting them ready for burial.
But burying the dead is not always possible, per the Zetas.

4. Governments

They would love to be in charge, everything under control, and may try to ensure this with Martial Law.

Per the Zetas, the boundary between the Caribbean Plate, which is being pushed down, and the S American Plate, which is rolling over the Caribbean Plate, dissects Trinidad. This line can be seen going east to west through the center of Trinidad. When rock layers are torn apart in this manner, methane gas is released. Unless there is a spark from lightning or cloud friction, this gas remains in a bubble, rising as methane is lighter than air.

Mining operations of old had what they called the canary in a birdcage, to warn the miners of methane gas leaks. Birds are very sensitive to these fumes, and die, and this is indeed what happened in Austin, TX. Were it not for the explosions associated with gas leaks, it would be common knowledge that gas leaks sicken, as the body was not structured to breathe such air for long. Local 10 News cameras captured the Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel’s front overhang, with a large piece of it appearing to have fallen on the ground.

The area outside the hotel was blocked off by yellow police tape and parking cones.

Fire rescue crews said they responded to the scene on Sunday morning. Officials said there were no reported injuries.

There is no word on the cause of the damage or what measures will be taken to repair it.

Europe Is Being Told to Prepare. ZetaTalk’s Warning Goes Far Beyond 72 Hours

Denk Vooruit, Europe’s preparedness campaigns, and the urgent work of preparing for the Pole Shift and Aftertime

Europe is telling its population to prepare for the failure of services that daily life depends on. The Netherlands is launching another round of Denk Vooruit. Other countries are urging households to store food and water, keep communication working, and prepare for life without electricity, shopping or normal assistance. This message is reaching the public through national campaigns and a European preparedness strategy.

ZetaTalk addressed these warnings years ago. Its archives connect European supply instructions with severe wobble flooding and the European tsunami. They also confront the central weakness of a three-day kit: the Pole Shift and Aftertime require preparation for far more than a short interruption. [14] [16] [18]

The convergence deserves serious attention. The official campaigns make the dependence on vulnerable services visible. The ZetaTalk material explains why preparation must extend to location, water, food production, shelter, sanitation, energy and the ability to care for one another when those services are lost.

1. Denk Vooruit: prepare for the loss of essential services

The official toolkit states that the new Denk Vooruit campaign starts on 12 October 2026. Materials for phase 2 can be used from 19 October. The toolkit also lists a June 2026 repeat campaign and an ongoing “always-on” approach. October is therefore another stage of a continuing programme. [1]

The Dutch emergency kit is intended for the first 72 hours. It includes water at 3 litres per person per day, shelf-stable food, a battery radio, a phone powerbank, lighting, first aid, blankets, tools, cash, hygiene supplies, copies of identification and important telephone numbers. Personal needs include medicines, infant supplies and pet food. Supplies should be accessible and checked every six months. [2]

Use this new campaign phase to act: assemble the first reserve, identify the dependencies in your home, and arrange help for those who need it. For Pole Shift and Aftertime preparation, the work must continue well beyond that first reserve.

2. This is a European pattern

On 26 March 2025, the European Commission presented its Preparedness Union Strategy. It calls for guidelines to achieve a minimum of 72 hours of population self-sufficiency. Its public explanation covers geopolitical conflict, cyber risks and natural hazards, and it seeks coordination across government, businesses and society. [3]

Several national initiatives predate the EU announcement. Together, they reinforce a shared message: people must be ready to meet essential needs when normal services are unavailable. The different campaign names and supply targets show how widely that message is being put into practice.

Netherlands: 72 hours

Denk Vooruit encourages a household reserve for three days, with the new October campaign stages described above. Its water figure gives a concrete starting quantity: nine litres per person for three days. [1] [2]

Denmark: three days

Prepared for crises asks households to manage for three days so that responders can help those with the greatest need. An official food-authority announcement on 15 June 2024 advised three days of food and nine litres of drinking water per person. The guidance also addresses radio, medicines, warmth, payment options and neighbourhood help. [4] [5]

Finland: at least 72 hours

The Finnish 72 hours concept is a recommendation from authorities and NGOs, coordinated by the Finnish National Rescue Association. It covers at least three days of food, water and medicines, along with reliable information and coping with a cooling home during a power failure. [6]

Sweden: at least one week

Sweden’s current civil-defence guidance asks people to plan for at least a week of water, food, heating and communication. It also includes medicines, payments and pets. This is a longer household planning horizon than the Dutch minimum. [7]

Norway: one week

Norwegian authorities recommend that as many people as possible be able to manage for a week. DSB explicitly lists the cascade a power cut can cause: disruption of water, sewage, medical equipment, charging, payments, communication, refrigeration and cooking. Preparation gives people time to plan if the crisis continues. [8]

Germany: aim for ten days

The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance, BBK, advises aiming for ten days of self-supply. It also says that at least three days is already helpful and can be expanded gradually. Its current guidance includes food that needs no refrigeration, no cooking, or little cooking energy. The ten-day approach has a history going back well before the EU’s 2025 announcement. [9] [15]

France: a 72-hour kit and mutual support

French guidance describes a 72-hour emergency kit for staying at home or leaving quickly. Its Tous responsables guide was announced on 20 November 2025, with the explanatory page updated on 14 August 2026. Food, water, warmth and care are accompanied by first-aid training and a network of solidarity. [10] [11]

United Kingdom: Prepare

The UK announced its public Prepare website on 22 May 2024. Current household advice covers emergency supplies for a few days, written plans, local risks, contacts and support for neighbours. It asks people to plan for disruption of power, water and access to necessary supplies. [12] [13]

Across these countries, the practical warning is consistent: normal services and outside assistance cannot be taken for granted during a crisis. Food, water, information, warmth and care must be planned before they are needed. The EU strategy gives this wider preparedness effort an explicit coordinating framework. [3]

3. The ZetaTalk archive connection

September 2005: the three-day-kit problem was already discussed

The Blog Radio transcript Survival Solutions, an Overview, dated 5 September 2005, directly rejects the adequacy of the official three-day supply approach for surviving a Pole Shift and living afterwards. It explains that disrupted travel and shopping can already prevent access to supplies before the shift itself. Its preparation categories include food, water, shelter, energy, health, hand tools and sewage. [18]

A three-day reserve runs out. The need for drinking water, food, shelter and care continues. Long-term preparation must provide ways to renew supplies, repair equipment and sustain the people who depend on them.

August 2016: Germany’s supply advice and Atlantic sloshing

In its response dated 27 August 2016, ZetaTalk addressed Germany’s instruction to store ten days of food and water. The reply connects the advice to severe wobble flooding and Atlantic sloshing, including northern Germany’s lowlands and the exposure of the Netherlands, Denmark and parts of the UK. It explicitly states that the German government takes ZetaTalk seriously. [14]

Newsletter 518, published 4 September 2016, carries this discussion under Severe Wobble Implications. This connection between European readiness instructions and the danger of inundation was already explicit in ZetaTalk years before the EU’s 2025 strategy and the present Dutch campaign. [15]

March 2025: a direct response to the EU’s 72-hour message

The March 2025 Q&A archive contains a direct response to the EU announcement. Newsletter 969, dated 6 April 2025, reproduces it with the date 27 March 2025. ZetaTalk identifies the flooding emphasis as preparation for its predicted European tsunami and says the EU has kept the cause vague. The response describes the political dilemma of alerting people too early or too late. [16] [17]

Its question is direct: “Packing a bug-out bag is helpful but then what?” ZetaTalk warns of a short escape window, congested roads, and the need to help people with disabilities reach safety. It also points out the danger of people seeking underground shelter during inundation. [16]

The official pages name their public risk categories. ZetaTalk gives a specific explanation for the EU warning. The archive connection is explicit, and it gives readers a reason to examine the preparedness message together with the earlier warnings about Europe.

4. The larger picture: atmospheric disruption and plate stress

The continuing daily Earth wobble belongs in this discussion. ZetaTalk’s food-shortage material connects it with drought-and-deluge cycles, unusual temperature swings and disruption of growing seasons. Newsletter 654 revisits the 15 June 1995 warning about unstable weather, crop losses and pressure on the food supplies of crowded population centres. [19]

Below that atmospheric layer, ZetaTalk describes plate adjustment and the displacement of ocean water. The European tsunami material connects the Africa Roll and the opening of an Atlantic void with water driven towards Europe. Severe wobble flooding, the European tsunami and the Pole Shift tides each require attention within their respective parts of the sequence. [15] [17]

For preparedness, their consequences meet at ordinary dependencies: crops, roads, bridges, ports, drinking-water systems, sewage, electricity and access to care. A household can have cash and a radio while still lacking a workable water source or an accessible evacuation route.

Preparation must cover the combined consequences: loss of access, loss of supplies and loss of the infrastructure used to recover. When roads, power and water are disrupted together, each failure makes the others harder to manage. Build arrangements that can operate through that combination.

5. Seventy-two hours cannot meet Pole Shift and Aftertime needs

A reserve buys time. Pole Shift and Aftertime preparation requires resources, skills, maintenance and people. Use three days, two weeks and three months to test how well your arrangements can continue.

A crate of bottled water is a reserve. A usable source, collection equipment, suitable treatment, clean storage and replacement parts form a water system. Canned food is a reserve. Food-production skills, seed, tools, preservation and cooperation create ways to replenish it.

ZetaTalk’s Self-Sufficiency Steps describes loss of homes, grid failure, contaminated water and the end of normal shopping after the Pole Shift. It emphasizes skills that take practice, including seed saving, gardening, mending and constructing shelter from available materials. Preparation must work when ordinary resupply and repairs are unavailable. [20]

The August 2026 newsletters carry this work forward. Basic Survival, published on 9 August, returns to food production and seed saving. Off the Grid, published on 23 August, examines locally generated power, water collection, hand tools and maintenance when fuel and normal services are unavailable. These are newsletter discussions drawing on earlier ZetaTalk and Troubled Times material. They reinforce the need to practise before equipment and supplies become difficult to obtain. [25] [26]

Water: count it, protect it, and plan replenishment

Using the Dutch figure of 3 litres per person per day, the arithmetic is: 9 litres for three days; 42 litres for fourteen days; 270 litres for ninety days. For two people, ninety days means 540 litres, weighing roughly half a tonne before containers. The longer periods are examples for this planning exercise. [2]

That amount still does not cover every washing, cleaning or care requirement. UK guidance distinguishes basic drinking-water needs from the larger quantity needed for cooking and hygiene. Heat, illness, infants, pets and individual care needs can increase demand. [12]

Store potable water in clean food-safe containers, keep it protected and rotate it. For a longer interruption, identify where additional water would come from, how to collect and carry it, and whether the treatment method suits the contamination. Danish guidance explicitly requires containers approved for food use and regular replacement of stored water. [4]

Boiling addresses germs; it does not remove toxic chemicals. A filter is only useful for contaminants it is designed to remove. Distillation, discussed in the ZetaTalk survival material, also has limits: some volatile chemicals can carry over, and it requires energy and time. Avoid water contaminated with fuel or toxic chemicals; do not assume a simple treatment makes it drinkable. [18] [23] [24]

Food: build a reserve and the capacity to produce more

Begin with food your household actually eats. Include ready-to-eat canned beans, fish or other suitable proteins; vegetables and fruit; nuts or other energy-dense foods; and dry staples matched to your water and cooking capacity. Include a manual can opener. Check allergies, chewing or swallowing needs, infant feeding and pet food. [2] [5] [9]

Write a three-day menu and a fourteen-day menu. This reveals missing calories, excessive dependence on cooking, and foods that require more water or fuel than you have. Rotate the reserve through normal use and build it gradually. A packet of dry beans is a poor immediate fallback if there is no safe way to cook it.

For the longer horizon, practise growing food and saving seed now. Record actual yields, failures, water use and labour. Protect seed stock and learn suitable preservation methods. A first harvest takes time, so a reserve is needed to bridge the gap. ZetaTalk’s food-shortage material also describes the severe burden of Aftertime gloom and prolonged rain on vegetation. Food plans must account for reduced light, waterlogged ground and the need to adapt production. [19]

Cooking, warmth and power: identify the next dependency

Plan some meals that need no cooking and others that use little energy. Establish where a suitable outdoor cooking method can be used safely. Never use a barbecue or outdoor-only stove indoors or in an enclosed shelter. Danish preparedness guidance specifically warns about smoke and carbon monoxide. [4]

For lighting and communication, start with torches, spare batteries, a working radio and charged powerbanks. For longer use, measure actual power demand and test recharging. A solar panel needs compatible connections, charging equipment and realistic output assumptions. Critical medical equipment needs a plan agreed with the care provider. An unused box of equipment is not a tested backup.

Turn these ideas into tested arrangements. Record the energy needed by essential devices, the water available at the intended location, and the parts and skills needed for repair. Wind and flowing water depend on the site; solar output depends on available light. A source of energy must match the load it is expected to carry. [26]

Sanitation: what happens when the toilet stops working?

Write down how you would manage toilet waste, handwashing, menstrual care, continence supplies, laundry and waste storage if water or sewer service failed. Keep clean-water and waste handling separate. A temporary toilet arrangement must suit your home and the people using it, with hygienic handling and an appropriate disposal plan.

Soap, disposable supplies and cleaning materials are useful reserves. Over longer periods, washing arrangements, reusable materials where appropriate, and reliable access to water become essential. This deserves the same planning attention as food and electricity.

Location and mobility: a kit does not change exposure

The ZetaTalk Netherlands entry warns of inundation of low-lying land and a drop in relative altitude during the adjustments. It directs survival planning towards high ground, calling for more than 1,000 feet, approximately 305 metres, above sea level for Pole Shift planning. It also warns that homes may remain permanently underwater. Location is therefore a fundamental part of preparation. [21]

Review the location material for your area and its surroundings. Consider routes, destination access, water, shelter and local hazards together. Do not confuse temporarily reaching a higher floor during a flood with establishing a viable long-term location. [22]

Plan mobility before an emergency: what can be carried, who needs assistance, what happens when lifts or charging stop, and what alternatives exist if roads are blocked? In a developing emergency, use the actual warning and conditions to decide how to move. A route that exists on paper still needs to be usable.

6. Do a paper outage test this week

Use three horizons: three days, two weeks and three months. These are stress-test scenarios for your plan. For each one, ask what you have, what runs out, what stops working, and what you can renew or repair. Write the answers down.

Water: What is already safe to drink? Where does the next supply come from? Who can carry it, and how will it be treated and stored?
Food: What meals are possible without shopping, refrigeration or normal cooking? What can replace the reserve when it is used?
Power and warmth: Which needs are essential? How long do batteries last? What works when recharging or fuel delivery is unavailable?
Communication: Which radio channels, paper contacts and meeting arrangements work without internet or phone service?
Sanitation: How will waste, handwashing and care-related hygiene be managed without running water or reliable sewage?
Mobility and care: Who cannot manage alone? Which helpers, accessible routes, equipment and destinations have actually been arranged?

Address the weakest dependency first, then continue through the list. Secure missing items, practise the necessary skills and make concrete arrangements with others. Test equipment before relying on it. Preparation needs to be done while access to shops, transport, tools and outside expertise still exists.

7. Service-to-Others is preparation made practical

Self-sufficiency and helping others can strengthen each other. People who can cover basic needs can share knowledge, check on neighbours and support those who need assistance. Danish and Norwegian guidance explicitly recognizes this relationship between prepared households and help for people with greater needs. [4] [8]

Within the Service-to-Others approach, the practical task is to build a group in which contributions are understood and people remain involved. Someone with limited mobility may organize information, manage supplies, save seed, mend clothing or help others keep track of tasks. Match responsibilities to the person, with their agreement.

For families, neighbours and care networks, name the helpers now. Establish a backup if the first helper cannot come. Keep essential information on paper and practise the support plan without interrupting necessary care. Inclusion must be built into the arrangements before a disruption.

Europe is telling its people to prepare. ZetaTalk has explicitly connected European supply warnings with the danger of inundation, and its survival material makes clear that a three-day kit cannot meet Pole Shift and Aftertime needs. Take the public preparedness message seriously and carry the work further: assess the location, secure water, build food-producing skills, arrange shelter and sanitation, test energy systems, and prepare with others. The ability to sustain life and help one another is the goal.

The day of a significant pole shift, such as will occur on this next passage of the 12th Planet, is one no human on Earth will be able to ignore. For most, it will be a most terrible day.

Those who have had no forewarning will be no worse off than those who have heard rumors but been unable to make changes in their life to prepare. In fact, having no forewarning will almost be a blessing for those unable to prepare, as in this way they will not agonize over choices made. Those who have prepared will be in a state of high anxiety, imagining the worst. Regardless of whether a human realizes what is about to happen but has been unable to take themselves to safety, or has no realization, the effect is the same. They wait for what is to come next. As we have described, this waiting can take the form of distractions such as parties or denial such as continuing with the daily routine as though everything were normal, but for most this waiting is a type of breath holding. They are in shock, from the time they realize that the Earth has stopped rotating until the pole shift, they are essentially in shock, for days.

For those along coast lines, the hour when the Earth's crust moves along with the core to its new position is not the time of trauma until the Earth's core and crust stop. It is then that massive tidal waves roll slowly up into the coastal areas, first on one side of a body of water and then, later when the water sloshes back, on the other side. Both tides are equally as devastating. Being on high ground along a coast line is no safety factor if the water has nowhere to go, as the press of water behind the wave head will force the water up when meeting a barrier, so one is flooded anyway. Riding the wave results in being dashed against barriers, and allowing the wave to engulf one is a certain drowning, fortunately a painless death. Thus, those along the coast lines die from tidal waves, almost invariably, if they are not dead already.

For those inland beyond the reach of tidal waves, the earthquakes are devastating. All but the flimsiest of housing is wrenched so violently that it collapses, crushing and trapping those inside. Those inside tents or straw huts will find themselves, along with their housing, jerked sideways, but aside from scrapes and bruises, relatively unharmed. Lying on the ground during this time is in and of itself a protection, as friction along the ground prevents one from being hurled. In the cities, structures collapse, creating the scenario seen after major earthquakes in the extreme, everywhere. The injured die from lack of treatment and the living soon sicken from drinking sewage contaminated water, and with transportation blocked on all sides, starvation soon takes its toll also.

Those living on subducting plates that border the oceans will find themselves covered with a depth of ocean water that they cannot resist. They will surely drown. Those situated where rapid subduction occurs on areas above sea level may themselves on hot earth during the moments following a pole shift when the crust stops moving and the plates in essence slam into each other like a train whose engine suddenly comes to a stop. Here height helps, as the greater the distance from where friction between the crusts is creating heat, the better. The heat can be great enough to melt rock, as witnesses who have survived such terrifying sights attest. Volcanoes, active and inactive, will explode violently, covering the surrounding areas in raining rock and dust and superheating the air so that all life nearby is extinguished in a wink.

Lightning and firestorms from falling walls of flaming petrochemicals, formed during the interaction of gasses with volcanic heat and continuous lightning, cannot be predicted. They can happen world wide, and as with the hurricane force winds are a factor of the atmosphere, not the land mass. Where they are rare, these firestorms are devastating, and burn all beneath the falling wall of flame in a holocaust. The horrified victims have little chance to even realize what is happening before they are engulfed and lose consciousness from lack of oxygen. As with spontaneous human combustion, the victim is unconscious during the burning process. Protection from this rare chance of devastation is best attained by sheltering under a metal roof, which will not burn.

In rural areas survivors find themselves dealing less with the collapse of civilization than with climate changes. At first, stores are eaten until gone, and then real concern about the inability to grow crops sets in. Will the Sun never shine through the clouds? More than any other reason, this is what causes pole shift survivors to wander - they are seeking a land where the sun shines as it used to, sure that they are simply on the wrong side of the Earth for some reason. Starvation soon has survivors eating everything in sight, chewing on old leather, eating the branches of dead trees, but still the gnawing hunger continues. Death by starvation is also relatively painless, as a stupor sets in. The mind is dulled and languor envelopes the human, who is essentially asleep when death comes.

Of course, everyone anticipates that the remaining Fatima Secret, known to few except the hierarchy of the Catholic Church and Sister Lucia, who received the vision, will encompass the End Times. What else would cause the children to fall, screaming, at what they saw. Few accepted the obvious deflection, announced in recent years, that this involved the assassination of a Pope, which would perhaps stun or sadden a child, but not send them screaming in horror, writhing on the ground. Place yourself, as a human living a life of quiet desperation as most do, trudging through the daily routine, bored, weary, and not really expecting much other than aging and the eventual release of death unless something unexpected occurs to make life more interesting. This on occasion happens, a life suddenly turned to a horror or a quick death because of an accident, a fall from a ladder, the sudden and intense pain from electrocution during a lighting strike, the impulsive act of heroism to save another from brutality or danger with the outcome uncertain. But in the main, sudden and massive Earth changes are simply not expected, and thus screaming in horror is the appropriate response, especially if the one visualizing this, living it during an intense vision, is but a child. Place yourself, then, as the child you were, dependent on others to protect you and under the dictates of others as to where and under what circumstances you as a child might live. How would you react to the following in a vision?

the ground opening up in front of you, a wide chasm that swallows what clings to the edges of the chasm, trees tipping into the chasm and ripping their clinging roots, no path or village square safe from such a surprise;
buildings shattering under cracks that flash across their surface like lightning bolts, falling in dust filled implosions as the infrastructure snaps, and the realization that you are trapped under the debris and your cries are going unheard;
walls of fire forming and falling from the sky, setting you and others running from beneath it on fire so you become a fleeing torch, no hope of putting out the flames by rolling on the ground as all is a holocaust, and your flesh covered with a sticky substance, fuel for the fire;
a quiet tsunami rolling toward you as you stand on the shore, evident at first as water rising over walls and rooftops, silently, relentlessly, until the village is covered in water with nowhere for the floating life to cling until exhaustion takes you down.

Sworn to silence not because there is nothing that can be done to avert the calamity, and not because publication would encourage power grabs by Godless communism, the suppression of the remaining Fatima Secret was done for the convenience of the Catholic Church and those who ally with the Church. Just as with the cover-up, where admitting the presence of Planet X in the inner solar system and the likely outcome is inconvenient to those in political and fiscal control of the world, this suppression was done for convenience. Did not those who gave the children the vision intent it to be known? Would those who denied pedophilia in the Church for so long, while allowing it to continue, put the safety of the innocent children under their care ahead of their fiscal concerns? It is for convenience that the vision is suppressed, Sister Lucia a captive in silence, and a frank lie about the substance of the vision being about the assassination of a Pope put forth. Of course there is a reason to reveal the secret. People can chose to limit the size of their families, can chose where to live, can chose a profession or trade based on anticipated need, and in general can plan to love one another with more intensity if they are aware of what is likely to occur.

This does not jib with the Church’s doctrine to increase the size of the flock on pain of excommunication if one uses contraceptives, a doctrine which stands at odds with the apparent acceptance of pedophilia in the Church, as apparently is it failing to increase the size of the flock, not sex, that is the sin. You are told business as usual, stay at your jobs, tithe to your Church, remain on the coastlines and crowded into the cities, and support the comfortable lifestyles of the hierarchy. Those in the halls of power in the Church know otherwise, but comfort themselves that nothing can be done to save mankind anyway. Oh? Are they planning to do nothing for themselves? Nothing to place themselves on solid rock and away from coastlines? Such is the love of those in the halls of power in the Church. Are they following the advice of Jesus to love the least among them? Are they following the Golden Rule? Are they warning those along coastlines and near volcanoes or in crumbling cities? Are they allowing them the human right to make their own decisions about where they wish to be, or where they wish to take those they love? It appears the Church is being run by dictators, looking out for themselves, solely, to the end.

Humans wishing to prepare for these violent winds should anticipate a force equal to their familiar hurricanes, not tornado force, although tornadoes will be spawned. Stay below the Earth's surface, lie low, and tie down everything you wish to find when it's over.

As great as the danger to humans and the fauna and flora of the Earth that earthquakes bring, greater still is the devastation that the shifting waters will bring. There are several factors at play. Water is more liquid than the core of the Earth, and certainly more liquid than terra firma. Where the Earth, dragged by its core, is Shifting into a new, albeit temporary, alignment with the giant comet, its waters resist greatly. Thus the waters slosh over the nearby land, in the direction opposite to the shift. This is lessened by a tendency of the waters directly under the giant comet to rise up to meet the comet. The waters heap up, in what appear to be giant waves. This tends to lessen the sloshing over a shoreline on the comet side, but has no effect on the water's movement on the dark side of the Earth.

The Earth's record of gigantic tidal waves, which the establishment is desperate to explain in other than pole shift terms, is caused by the frequent pole shifts. This is the case even in situations where a plate adjustment affects hundreds of miles of ocean bottom, creating a massive line of compressed water which promptly moves in the only directions it can - to the right, left, and up. In the depths of the ocean, this causes a tidal wave of perhaps 20 feet in nearby shores. Where items are dropped into the ocean, such as the honeycombed ice of a former South Pole did during the Flood, the displaced water cannot go down, so must go all four directions. In instances such as this, the resulting wave is in proportion to the object dropped. A continent sized object caused the Flood, a meteor a mile in diameter would hardly cause more than a high tide, despite alarmist speculation.

Those who have witnessed tidal bore roaring up a ravine are astonished that water does not seem to respect the relative sea level during those times. What makes the water climb? Water pressure drives water to climb above its level because at the point where the pressure build, it takes the easiest path. When the force of pressure is extreme, compressing the water at lower levels, the path of least resistance is taken. During a tidal wave, this path is away from the bulk of water. A tidal wave moves inland until one of two situations occurs:

the level to which it has climbed is higher than the level elsewhere, and the wave recedes, or
the pressure behind the wave decreases.

Where tidal waves meet mountains, this can result in tidal bore up ravines. Where tidal waves flow inland, this results in a flood tide going hundreds of miles inland. Where the tidal wave finds foot hills or barriers, the force of the wave is broken such that it is slowed, allowing a reduction in pressure behind the wave to arrive before the wave moves far inland. But where the tidal wave finds virtually no barriers, due to the land being flat, it becomes water on the move, and this very momentum carries it far inland, and above a height that would otherwise be expected.

There is more to the level that water rises than simply water finding its level. Tidal bore carried water up-river in a rush, rising above the sea level with force, for many miles. Tidal bore carries water up ravines, in some cases shooting almost straight up, appearing in a gusher at the plateaus overhead. One factor to consider is the force or pressure that water is under, and this is equivalent to the water higher, elsewhere. This is the factor that allows cities to have tap water, due to water stored at a high point in the vicinity, which then pushes out into pipes. Water on the move does more than just push forward, it also creates a void behind it. At first, this water is on the move because there is pressure behind it, like sloshing water in the Gulf. But then, the force of this moving water takes on a life of its own. It has momentum, and moving forward, creates a void behind it, thus drawing the water in the direction of motion, thus continuing the motion. Thus, rolling across the flat low lands such as the State of Texas, and moving hundreds of miles inland, on a roll, it does not simply stop when it starts to reach foothills. Why would it stop? Because the overall elevation is more than the sea level? Weigh this, with the force of water, all on the move, behind the lip of the flood tide. This water on the move is greater than the resistance in front of it, so it continues.

Petrocarbons are in essence created, due to the flashes of lightning and intense heat due to passage over open volcanoes, and these petrocarbons rain down, afire, at times. With the atmosphere scattered, chemicals in the comet's tail similar to your petrol chemicals do not flash in a quick consummation into water and carbon dioxide, but descend close to the surface of the Earth before bursting into flame. A fire storm, killing all beneath it. All this has been reported in ancient times, as humans observed accompaniments to the cataclysms. This type of activity sets forests afire. Where vegetation regrows, from seeds and roots, many areas will nevertheless be denuded of vegetation for some time.

We have stated that during the shift, that firestorms will results from air with petrochemicals components passing over super hot volcanic air. This binds the components, creating oil, which is the source of most of the oil buried underground on Earth. Mankind presumes that oil came from compressed and trapped vegetation, eons ago, but cannot duplicate this process. Why would vegetation result in oil, deep underground, when the process only results in methane and compost today? Petrochemicals are broken down by cracking, during the refinement process, and are thus sensitive to heat process. This is how they were created, in the first place! During the shift, so much is roiled about in the atmosphere, and so many volcanoes erupting, super hot air overhead, that binding occurs. 2. Follow the routes of transmission

Disease prevention becomes easier when people understand how an infection reaches its next host. A disaster increases opportunities for transmission. It does not make every infectious disease appear automatically. Local pathogens, infected people or animals, vectors and exposure conditions still matter. [H24]

Feces to mouth. Contaminated fingers, drinking water, food, utensils and flies can carry germs from toilets or waste into meals. Risks include cholera, shigellosis, some E. coli infections, hepatitis A and E, norovirus, Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Safe water, toilets and handwashing interrupt this route. [H2, H3, H5, H7]

Air to lungs. Shared indoor air allows respiratory viruses to spread. Crowding, inadequate ventilation and delayed recognition of illness increase exposure. Clean air and separation of ill people are central protections. Wiping surfaces alone cannot control this route. [H15]

Skin, textiles and close contact. Ringworm can spread through contact and shared belongings. Scabies is caused by mites, not fungi, and usually requires coordinated treatment of the affected person and close contacts. Different causes can produce similar itching. [H13, H14]

Broken skin and contaminated water or soil. Cuts, punctures and burns need protection. Dirty wounds can lead to serious infection, and tetanus prevention depends on wound care and vaccination history. Contact with urine-contaminated floodwater creates a separate risk of leptospirosis. Animals and insects. Rodent waste, bites and mosquito exposure need their own controls. Disease risk depends on which organisms and vectors are actually present. A future climate map cannot tell a community which infection caused a fever. [H18, H19, H20]

Food or chemical toxins. Some illnesses are poisonings rather than infections. Mycotoxins in food and industrial contaminants in water require source avoidance and appropriate controls. Antibiotics cannot fix poisoned food or contaminated drinking water. [H8, H12]

For each incident ask: What was the likely source? What route brought it to the person? Which barrier failed? Who else shared that exposure? These questions are more useful than calling every illness an epidemic.

Routes of exposure and the barriers that interrupt them. [H2, H3, H4, H5, H6, H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H12, H13, H14, H15, H16, H17, H18, H19, H20, H32]

3. Build a settlement that supports hygiene

Choose the site with drainage, water protection and waste handling in mind. A spring, a sheltered hollow and an empty building each need inspection. Examine flood marks, upstream pollution, unstable ground, runoff routes and the possibility that heavy rain could carry waste toward the water supply. [H3, H4]

Separate functions before building permanent structures

• Water collection and treatment: protect the source and keep raw-water equipment identifiable.

• Clean storage and food: provide covered drinking-water vessels, food preparation surfaces and a dry store.

• Sleeping and personal care: provide dry, ventilated accommodation and accessible washing facilities.

• Illness care: provide separate spaces for people with diarrhea and people with respiratory symptoms wherever possible.

• Toilets and dirty work: provide contained waste handling, laundry intake and a controlled disposal route.

These are functional divisions, not a fixed compass arrangement. Groundwater movement does not necessarily follow the visible slope. Airflow, runoff, access and the needs of residents must be assessed together. [H3, H4]

Clean supply: treated water and food.
Daily use: people, utensils and linen.
Contained waste: toilets and dirty handling.

Before returning to clean work: remove contaminated protection, wash hands, change soiled clothing and use clean tools.

Functional workflow only. Assess drainage, groundwater and airflow for the actual site.

Test the layout with an ordinary task

Imagine a caregiver emptying a commode, then helping someone drink. Where is the dirty container put down? Where is protective equipment, if available, removed? Where are hands washed? Can the caregiver reach the clean cup without touching a contaminated door or handle?

Now follow a waste carrier, a cook and a wheelchair user through the same space. Correct the crossings before the settlement fills up. Use simple labels and symbols, and physically separate tools rather than relying on everyone remembering which bucket was used yesterday.

Provide stable approaches, suitable seats, handholds, privacy and a way to call for help. A toilet that someone cannot reach creates an immediate care and sanitation problem. Include nighttime access without carrying open waste through food areas. [N1]

A functional workflow for clean supplies, daily care and dirty handling. Site planning must assess drainage, groundwater, airflow and accessibility. [H3, H4, H5, H10]

4. Safe water is a complete chain

The earlier Water in the Aftertime blog describes source selection, pretreatment, distillation and protected collection. This guide adds the disease-control consequence: water must remain safe until it reaches the person. A clean output can be contaminated again by hands, hoses, cups or storage vessels. [N2, H8, H9]

Maintain distinct water streams

Drinking and care water: use water suitable for consumption for drinking, cooking, oral rehydration, brushing teeth and preparing infant feeds. Use safe water or appropriate sterile products for wound care as indicated. Keep the clean supply clearly identified. [H9, H10, H16]

Utility water: choose treatment and uses according to source hazards. Water used for cleaning must not recontaminate hands or equipment. Visibly cleaner water, warm condenser water and rainwater are not automatically suitable for washing a wound or preparing food. [H8, H9, H10]

Wastewater: contain and route it separately. Toilet waste, washing from diarrheal care and chemical residues must never drain toward the water source.

Know the limits of each process

Boiling kills infectious organisms but does not remove heavy metals or most chemical contamination. For microbiologically unsafe water without suspected chemical contamination, CDC specifies a rolling boil for one minute, or three minutes above 6,500 feet, about 1,980 metres. Cool covered. This is an emergency microbial treatment, not a replacement for the broader contamination controls in the Aftertime water plan. [H9]

Distillation removes germs and many dissolved contaminants, including lead. Some volatile chemicals can pass through, and a poorly maintained condenser can contaminate the output. Avoid fuel- or solvent-contaminated sources and unknown industrial runoff. [H8]

A cloth or improvised sand filter is pretreatment, not proof of safe drinking water. Ordinary chlorine disinfection is unreliable against Cryptosporidium. Product capabilities and instructions matter. [H7, H9]

Budget water for hygiene as well as thirst

WHO uses at least 15 litres per person per day as an emergency planning baseline to establish as soon as possible. It covers basic domestic needs, not drinking alone, and is not an individual drinking prescription. Illness, heat, laundry and care can increase demand. For 20 people that baseline is 300 litres daily. Plan production, transport, treatment and storage accordingly. [H2]

Assign a water steward and a backup. Record batches and problems, clean containers, use pouring or taps instead of shared dipping, and inspect the source after heavy rain or ground movement.

Protect water through the entire chain. Treatment must match the source hazards. [H8, H9, H10]

5. Toilets, feces and the limits of composting

Every toilet needs a complete destination for its contents: containment, safe servicing, transport where needed, treatment and final disposal or controlled reuse. A covered bucket is useful containment. It is not treatment. [H4]

Match the system to the ground

Do not keep flushing into a damaged sewer or failed septic system. Where pits are appropriate, site them with sanitation expertise and protection of water sources in mind. WHO cholera guidance gives a 20-30 metre separation from drinking-water sources; use the more conservative end as an initial screening distance, never as a siting approval. A distance alone is not a guarantee. Fractured rock, permeable soil, high groundwater and flooding can carry contamination farther. Avoid pits in saturated or flood-prone ground. [H3, H6]

Raised or container-based systems may be more suitable when digging is unsafe. They require leak-resistant receptacles, stable seats, lids or closures appropriate to the design, spare capacity and an actual removal route. Never enter a pit, septic tank or waste-storage chamber. Toxic gases and oxygen deficiency can kill.

An operating toilet has a daily routine

• Maintain handwashing water and a soap supply or production plan; if soap runs out, apply the limited fallback in Chapter 7.

• Clean seats, handles and contaminated surfaces; deal with spills promptly.

• Exclude flies and prevent overflow or rainwater entry.

• Use dedicated tools and protective clothing for servicing.

• Record when a container or pit needs attention, before it becomes unusable.

• Include children's stools, diapers and commodes in the same sanitation plan.

Human waste is not ordinary garden compost

The GLP archive discusses using waste as fertilizer, and older Ning discussions describe bucket composting. Those descriptions do not establish that a particular batch is safe. Storage time, temperature, moisture, treatment conditions and the pathogen involved all affect survival. [Z5, N4, H4]

Do not apply untreated feces or casually aged toilet contents to food beds, mushroom substrates, worm feed intended for food production, fish ponds or raw-eaten crops. Cover material controls exposure and odor; adding it does not certify pathogen destruction. Keep ordinary plant compost separate from human waste.

Where verified treatment cannot be maintained, the safer priority is secure containment and a site-appropriate disposal arrangement. Save nutrients only when the entire sanitation chain can be controlled. Food scarcity makes contaminated harvests especially costly.

6. Waste, greywater and the dead

Waste management begins where waste is produced. Separating it early avoids turning useful salvage and clean plant material into contaminated mixed rubbish.

Give each stream its own route

Food scraps and plant residues: collect in covered containers, remove from food areas promptly and compost only suitable materials in a controlled area. Keep rodents and scavenging animals out.

Human waste and heavily soiled care materials: contain through the sanitation system. Keep diarrhea-related waste separate from ordinary clean recycling. A thin bag alone is vulnerable to puncture and leakage.

Sharps: put used needles and blades directly into a designated puncture-resistant, closable container. Keep it upright, secure and away from children. Do not recap needles, hand-sort the contents, crush containers or send them into the salvage stream. [H21]

Chemicals, batteries and concentrated residues: segregate and label them. Protect them from weather and keep them away from wells and food production. The concentrated residue from a water still also needs a disposal plan based on its contaminants. [H8, H21]

Greywater is not automatically harmless

Water from washing can contain microbes, grease and chemicals. Water from laundering fecally contaminated items needs particularly careful handling. Keep it away from drinking sources, play areas and food surfaces. Do not spray untreated greywater onto crops or create puddles around shelters. Any infiltration or reuse system needs suitable soil, drainage and a health-risk assessment. [H4]

Open burning of mixed or medical waste can release hazardous smoke and does not provide reliable treatment of every item. A household fire is not a medical incinerator. Choose controlled waste arrangements and trained advice where available. [H21]

Handle the dead with care and dignity

Bodies of people killed by trauma do not ordinarily cause epidemics merely through decomposition. Specific infections, including cholera, require additional precautions; body fluids and contamination of water also matter. Use trained handling where possible, protective equipment, identification records and appropriate burial arrangements that protect water sources. Avoid rushed anonymous disposal driven by fear. [H22]

The community should have an agreed place, responsible people and basic materials for this work. Grieving families need information and respect alongside health protection.

Five waste streams require separate handling and a planned route to treatment or disposal. [H3, H4, H21]

7. Handwashing when supplies run down

Build the routine around a dependable water supply, a simple dispenser, locally maintainable washing materials and drainage. Soap production belongs beside food, fuel and water in the community work plan.

The everyday arrangement

Use a poured stream or foot-operated tipping container rather than a shared wash bowl. Place it at toilets, food preparation and care spaces, reachable from a seated position. Keep its outlet clear of dirty hands and containers. Supply a draining soap holder and either clean personal drying cloths or space to air-dry hands. Maintain the route for used water. [H10]

Wash after toileting, changing diapers, handling waste and diarrheal care; before preparing or eating food and before clean care tasks. Scrub with soap for at least 20 seconds. [H5, H41]

What is available determines the method

Soap and water available: ordinary plain soap is sufficient for routine community handwashing. Antibacterial branding is unnecessary. Cold water can be used; heating handwashing water is not needed for effectiveness. [H43]

If soap is unavailable: rub hands thoroughly under the cleanest available poured or running water, then air-dry or use a clean cloth. Water alone removes some germs but is less effective than soap. Avoid chemically contaminated water. Restore soap provision as a priority. [H43]

Reduce what reaches hands in the first place

Use dedicated scoops, lids, ladles, toilet tools and serving utensils. Make handles easy to clean. Keep waste handling separate from food preparation, with a change of task only after hand cleaning and changing soiled clothing. These are proposed practical barriers; they do not make unwashed hands safe for food or wound care.

Conserve soap by keeping it dry between uses and preventing loss in mud or communal wash bowls. Conserve water with controlled pouring. Do not make a shortage worse by skipping handwashing after toilet or waste work. If washing water is unavailable, avoid unnecessary direct contact with ready-to-eat food or wounds and urgently restore a washing supply. There is no equally effective dry substitute to promise.

Cleaning and laundry: Chapter 7 continued

Physical cleaning continues when disinfectant runs out

Separate dirt removal from disinfection. Cleaning can remove contamination; disinfection requires an effective product or a validated process. Where a suitable product remains, follow its dilution, surface suitability and contact time. Never mix bleach with acids, ammonia or other cleaners, and never use surface disinfectant on skin. [H42]

Low-supply operating plan: contain spills promptly, restrict access, remove contamination with dedicated tools and keep kitchen equipment out of dirty work. Use soap or detergent where available. If neither remains, physical washing is still worthwhile but its limitations increase. Mark tools that remain contaminated and keep them within that dirty task. Washing does not establish disinfection, especially after vomit or diarrheal stool.

Reserve effective disinfectant for tasks where it changes the risk most, such as infectious spills and affected care surfaces. A shortage is not a reason to use a weaker-than-required dilution. If a safe process is unavailable, withdraw the affected item or close the area where feasible. Reopening a contaminated space simply because it looks clean can restart transmission. This is a scarcity plan, not a guarantee of decontamination.

Gloves and tools are different protections

Reusable household utility gloves can support dirty cleaning while intact and appropriately decontaminated. Keep them assigned to that task. They are not a substitute for sterile medical gloves. If protective gloves are unavailable, use long-handled tools, closed containers and less direct handling; these reduce opportunities for exposure but do not remove the risk. Wash hands after glove removal. [H5]

Laundry is a water, fuel and drying problem

Keep dirty intake apart from washed textiles. Do not shake soiled fabric. Contain feces and vomit through the toilet-waste route. Keep the affected person's linen separate while it is being handled and washed. [H5]

Without machines, plan small batches, dedicated washing vessels, mechanical washing, thorough rinsing and complete drying. Correctly made laundry soap may replace purchased detergent for ordinary washing, but does not by itself disinfect infectious linen. Choose washable fabrics and enough spare layers that a person is not returned to wet bedding.

Use a documented heat process only where the material, fuel supply and ability to achieve its required time and temperature permit it. A warm soak, a brief boil or smoky drying is not a universal disinfection method. Keep visibly contaminated care linen out of general circulation until a suitable process is possible; avoid creating an accumulating open pile beside sleeping areas.

Roofed racks, airflow and thin replaceable layers remain useful without grid power. Drying fuel must compete with cooking and water treatment. Do not rely on strong sunlight in the prolonged damp conditions described in the Aftertime material. [Z3, H11]

8. Diarrhea: cholera and the wider picture

Cholera can cause rapid, life-threatening dehydration. Other diarrheal infections may involve fever, blood, abdominal pain or prolonged symptoms. A shared meal, dirty hands or a contaminated water vessel can expose many people. Symptoms alone do not identify the organism. [H1, H2, H5]

Recognize several groups: bacterial illness such as cholera, salmonellosis, shigellosis and some E. coli infections; viruses such as norovirus; and parasites such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Typhoid and hepatitis A and E also belong in fecal-contamination prevention, although their illness patterns differ from acute gastroenteritis. [H1, H2, H7]

Act on the first serious case

Start rehydration promptly, move the person to a supported care space, contain stools and vomit, and seek medical help. Stop them preparing food or handling clean-water supplies. Check for other cases and inspect shared water and meals without waiting for laboratory confirmation. [H1, H5]

Prefer packaged oral rehydration salts. Mix each packet with exactly the volume of safe water stated on that packet. Different packets make different volumes. Do not add extra sugar or divide powder by eye.

Emergency fallback when packets are unavailable: dissolve 6 level measuring teaspoons of sugar and 1/2 level measuring teaspoon of salt in exactly 1 litre of safe drinking water. Use a standard 5 mL measuring teaspoon, not an arbitrary spoon. Measure accurately; excess salt is dangerous. This fallback lacks the complete electrolyte formulation of packaged ORS. [H6, H25]

Keep covered, label the preparation time and discard after 24 hours, or sooner if contaminated. Offer small frequent sips to someone awake and able to swallow. Continue breastfeeding and age-appropriate food as tolerated. Do not force oral fluids into a drowsy person who cannot swallow safely. [H6, H25, H26]

Urgent danger signs: inability to drink, persistent vomiting preventing replacement, very little urine, marked weakness, confusion, drowsiness, bloody diarrhea or severe deterioration. Infants and frail adults need early assessment. Severe dehydration may require intravenous treatment. [H1, H6]

Do not distribute antibiotics to everyone as prevention. They are not appropriate for every cause of diarrhea. For suspected norovirus, exclude food handlers and caregivers from those duties until at least 48 hours after symptoms stop; other diagnosed infections may require different clearance. [H1, H5]

9. Food safety without dependable refrigeration

The WHO food-safety framework covers clean handling, separation of raw and cooked food, thorough cooking, safe temperatures and safe ingredients. In a small settlement, these principles need a work schedule and clear responsibility. [H27]

Organize the kitchen around same-day use

Prepare manageable quantities and serve promptly. Keep raw meat, fish and their juices away from ready-to-eat food. Use separate utensils or fully clean and sanitize between tasks. Protect meals from flies and keep animals out of preparation and storage areas.

WHO advises keeping chilled food below 5°C and hot food above 60°C, and not leaving cooked food at room temperature for more than two hours. A cool-looking cellar or evaporative cooler is not proven refrigeration. Use a thermometer. When safe holding cannot be maintained, cook smaller batches and discard unsafe leftovers rather than repeatedly reheating them. [H27]

Food can be unsafe without smelling spoiled. Fermentation, smoking, salting, drying and canning each require a tested method suitable for the food. A jar that seals is not proof of safe preservation. Keep verified instructions and appropriate equipment; do not improvise preservation of low-acid foods. [H28]

Treat moldy food differently from a moldy wall

Some molds produce mycotoxins, which may persist through food processing. Scraping visible mold off bread, porridge or stored grain does not demonstrate that the remaining food is safe. Do not dilute suspect grain into a larger batch, or assume cooking or feeding it to livestock solves the problem. Some toxins can enter animal products. [H12]

Dry harvested foods adequately before storage. Use small identifiable batches, keep them off damp floors and inspect for leaks, condensation, insects and mold. Do not seal damp grain in a container. Reserve a clean scoop for each store and record the source and date.

Cultivated edible mushrooms are a separate food-production activity. Keep their humid growing area away from dry stores and sleeping quarters. Use known edible species and controlled substrates. Unknown wild fungi, molds growing on food and mold used in laboratory drug production are not interchangeable resources. [H12, H29]

10. Damp shelters and environmental mold

ZetaTalk's drizzle and crop-rot discussions make moisture management a central Aftertime planning issue. The practical aim is to stop water entry, remove indoor moisture and keep people and stored materials dry. [Z3, Z4]

Design for inspection and drying

Repair roof leaks; direct runoff away from the structure; keep beds and stores off the ground; leave access behind furniture; and provide sheltered ventilation. Separate wet clothing and cooking steam from sleeping spaces where possible. A structure can shed rain yet still develop condensation inside.

EPA recommends drying water-damaged materials within 24-48 hours where possible, keeping relative humidity below 60%, ideally 30-50%, and correcting the source of moisture. These are useful targets, not promises that damp Aftertime shelters can always meet them. [H11]

If the building cannot stay dry, prioritize one dry sleeping and care area, rotate bedding through the drying space, reduce crowding and consider moving out of persistently contaminated rooms. A daily check should include mattress undersides, roof joints, cold walls, food stores and enclosed cupboards.

Respond to mold safely

Mold can trigger irritation, allergy and asthma. People with weakened immunity or chronic lung disease can face more serious risks, including fungal infections. Colour alone does not identify toxicity or the appropriate response. [H30]

Remove vulnerable residents from the affected area. Mold cleanup requires gloves, eye protection and at least a suitable well-fitting N95-type respirator. These are finite supplies. Without suitable protection, prioritize stopping moisture and moving people to a drier usable space; postpone dust-producing stripping or demolition. A cloth over the face does not replace a respirator. People with significant allergies, immune suppression or lung disease should not do mold cleanup. Extensive damage needs stronger controls. [H31]

Clean suitable hard surfaces and dry them completely. Moldy absorbent materials may need removal. Do not paint over contamination, dry-brush it into occupied air or simply spray bleach and leave the material in place. EPA emphasizes physical removal and moisture control; dead mold can still cause reactions. [H11]

Keep cleanup dust away from food and occupied rooms. Reinspect after the next rain. If growth returns, the moisture problem remains unresolved.

Heating must be safe. Do not use charcoal, generators or unvented outdoor cooking equipment inside a shelter to dry it. Combustion gases can kill, and some heaters add moisture. [H11, H32]

Building mold, food toxins and fungal skin infections call for different responses. [H11, H12, H13, H14, H30, H31, H40]

11. Fungal infections, scabies and skin damage

Mold in a building is not the same condition as athlete's foot. Ringworm is a fungal infection, despite its name. Scabies is a mite infestation. Wet, irritated skin may have no infection at first, yet can become damaged and vulnerable. Diagnosis matters. [H13, H14]

Keep skin and clothing serviceable

Provide a daily opportunity to inspect feet, dry between toes, change damp socks and underwear, and dry footwear. Avoid sharing towels, shoes and personal care items. Give each person a labelled set and enough time in the drying area. Keep communal washing floors clean and use suitable footwear. [H13]

For people who cannot reach their feet or skin folds, include this task in personal care. Seek permission, preserve privacy and explain what is being checked. Prolonged wet clothing should trigger an equipment or workload change, not criticism of the person wearing it.

Treat the cause, not every rash the same way

Localized fungal skin infections often require an appropriate antifungal product. Follow the label and obtain professional advice for uncertain or persistent rashes. Scalp and nail infections may need different treatment. Steroid creams can worsen or conceal ringworm; do not use them on a suspected fungal rash unless advised by a clinician. [H13]

Spreading redness, warmth, swelling, pus, increasing pain or fever requires assessment for bacterial infection or another complication. A rash under an incontinence pad can be irritation, fungal involvement or both. Cleaning and drying help, but do not establish a diagnosis. [H16, H23]

Candida yeast can cause oral thrush and vaginal infections through overgrowth of organisms already present in the body. These are not evidence that someone caught mold from the walls. Persistent symptoms need assessment and an appropriate antifungal; invasive fungal disease in seriously ill or immunocompromised people needs urgent specialist care. [H40]

Scabies needs coordinated action

Treat affected people and close contacts together according to medical guidance. Wash recently used clothing and bedding as directed. CDC advises hot washing and hot drying; items that cannot be washed may be sealed in a bag for several days to a week. This is scabies-specific advice, not a universal treatment for contaminated belongings. [H14]

Avoid insecticide spraying of people or indiscriminate use of household chemicals. Itching can persist after successful treatment, so repeated medication without reassessment can create further skin problems.

Never use moldy bread or homemade mold extracts as antibiotics. Unknown species, toxins, contamination and uncontrolled dose make this unsafe. Preserve legitimate medicines and clinical knowledge instead.

12. Respiratory infection and shared air

Cold or wet weather may push people into the same enclosed space. A shelter plan therefore needs a way to provide warmth while reducing shared-air exposure.

Bring in fresh outdoor air when outdoor conditions permit, use sheltered outdoor areas for gatherings, and reduce crowding. Where electricity and suitable equipment survive, air filtration can supplement ventilation. Airflow should not carry a sick person's exhaled air directly across other beds. [H15]

Care for the sick without abandoning them

Give a coughing or feverish person a separate, ventilated care space if available. Provide bedding, food, water, regular checks and communication. Use suitable well-fitting masks during close contact while available and tolerated. Protect those at greater risk and arrange medical assessment early when illness is worsening. [H15, H33]

Do not put everyone with any symptom into one crowded sick room. A person with diarrhea and a person with a cough may expose each other to different infections. Separate by symptom pattern while pursuing a diagnosis, and use dedicated equipment where practical.

Respiratory viruses, bacterial pneumonia, tuberculosis, smoke irritation and mold-related symptoms require different responses. A persistent cough, especially with weight loss, night sweats or blood, warrants assessment for tuberculosis or another serious illness. Measles is also a concern where susceptible people crowd together. Neither should be managed as an ordinary short cold. [H34, H35]

When masks and filters are no longer available

Rely more heavily on separated sleeping spaces, sheltered outdoor contact, reduced crowding and ventilation that does not direct exhaled air across another person. Maintain warmth with clothing and dry bedding while ventilating. Cloth masks offer less protection than respirators and should not be presented as equivalent replacements. Keep the best remaining suitable protection for unavoidable close care. [H15, H45]

Protect breathing through preparation

Review routine vaccinations with a healthcare professional while services are available, including locally recommended respiratory and childhood vaccinations. Keep vaccination records with medical information. An evacuation or communications plan should identify how the community can request treatment, testing or public-health assistance. [H33, H34, H35]

Emergency signs include difficult or rapidly worsening breathing, blue or grey lips, chest pain, new confusion or reduced alertness. Seek the fastest available clinical help. Do not assume fever is necessary for a serious infection. [H23, H33]

Keep smoke-producing work away from sleeping and care spaces. Masks used against particles do not make carbon monoxide exposure safe. Preserve safe heating, flues and working carbon-monoxide alarms wherever possible. [H32]

13. Wounds, tetanus and sepsis

Salvage work exposes people to sharp metal, glass, splinters, bites, burns and contaminated ground. Preventing these injuries protects both the worker and the limited capacity of the care team.

Use suitable gloves and footwear, improve lighting, cover sharp edges and provide a clean place for first aid. Check minor injuries early rather than waiting until the end of several days of work. If protective equipment has failed, change the salvage task or use a safer method before accepting repeated cuts as unavoidable.

Basic wound protection

Clean minor wounds promptly with safe running water or an appropriate wound-cleaning product. Use a sterile dressing when available; if none remains, a freshly washed, thoroughly dried clean cloth can serve as a temporary cover. It is not sterile. Replace it when wet or dirty and keep the wound under observation. Keep them out of floodwater and inspect them regularly. Do not put ash, soil, mold, bleach or unverified herbal preparations into wounds. Deep punctures, bites, retained objects, major burns and heavily contaminated injuries need clinical assessment. [H16]

Tetanus risk comes from environmental spores entering a wound; rust itself is not the cause. CDC's wound guidance bases protection on the injury and vaccination history. For a completed primary series, a booster may be needed at five years for dirty or major wounds, compared with ten years for clean minor wounds. Unknown or incomplete vaccination histories require assessment, and some injuries also require tetanus immune globulin. Antibiotics do not substitute for tetanus prevention. Neither a homemade remedy nor boiling a wound replaces vaccination or immune globulin. When these are unavailable, that protection is lost; prevention before disruption and avoiding contaminated injuries become more important. [H17]

Recognize dangerous deterioration

Increasing pain, spreading redness, swelling, discharge or fever needs prompt reassessment. Rapid progression or pain much worse than expected is especially concerning. Exposure of a wound to coastal or brackish water should be reported because it changes the possible infections. [H16]

Sepsis is a life-threatening reaction to infection. Warning signs can include confusion, extreme discomfort, shortness of breath, clammy skin, a weak or rapid pulse, and fever or feeling unusually cold. It can begin with a lung, urinary, skin or gut infection. Seek urgent medical care. [H23]

Keep the limits of improvised care clear

Cleaning ordinary equipment is not the same as sterilizing instruments for invasive procedures. A pot of boiling water does not establish surgical sterility. Avoid improvised surgery, unsterile injections and reuse of single-use needles. Preserve sterile supplies for their intended purposes and involve trained professionals. [H21]

Record the injury, time, exposure, care provided, allergies and medicines. This record helps a clinician when transport or communication becomes possible.

14. Rodents, insects, animals and parasites

Food stores, waste piles and standing water can sustain pests close to people. Control starts with the environment and continues with personal protection.

Rodents

Keep food and waste in sound closed containers; repair entry holes; reduce clutter and inspect stores. Use traps in protected locations that do not injure children, pets or residents.

Do not dry-sweep or vacuum rodent droppings. CDC advises gloves, wetting contamination with a suitable disinfectant, allowing the specified contact time, and wiping it up before cleaning the area. Ventilate enclosed buildings before work. Heavy infestation requires additional respiratory protection and trained help. Where appropriate cleanup cannot be done, restrict access rather than stirring contaminated dust. [H19]

Floodwater and animal urine

Leptospirosis can follow contact with contaminated water or soil. Avoid unnecessary wading, cover cuts and use waterproof protective footwear and clothing when exposure cannot be avoided. Tell a clinician about floodwater and animal exposure if illness develops. [H18]

Mosquitoes, flies and ticks

Cover water storage and remove unnecessary standing water from cans, tyres and other containers. Maintain screens and bed nets. Nets can also protect people resting during the day, when some mosquito species bite. Use approved repellents according to the label and check exposed skin after outdoor work. Risk of malaria, dengue or other vector-borne disease depends on local transmission, not dampness alone. [H20]

Keep flies away from feces and food through containment and screens. Do not put pesticides into drinking-water containers or improvise their use on skin. Seek local public-health guidance for vector control.

Intestinal parasites and animal work

Safe toilets, safe drinking water, clean food handling and footwear reduce exposure to soil-transmitted worms. Deworming is not one universal treatment for every parasite; regional programmes and individual illness need appropriate medicines and advice. [H36]

Keep livestock and their manure out of clean-water and kitchen zones. Separate animal-care tools from food equipment. Do not handle or eat animals found dead from an unknown cause. Wash promptly after bites and obtain urgent assessment, including rabies risk where relevant. [H37]

Record unusual animal deaths or increases in biting insects alongside human illness, without assuming one caused the other.

A broader prevention plan includes air, skin, wounds, vectors, food and everyday care. See Chapters 9-15.

15. Personal care is part of infection prevention

The system must work for people who cannot fetch water, stand at a basin, communicate discomfort easily or reach a toilet unaided. A facility is only useful if residents can actually use it.

Incontinence, disability and reduced mobility

Provide reliable assistance, absorbent materials, safe transfers and a private place to wash and change. Keep clean stock apart from used items. Clean and dry skin gently, inspect pressure areas and use an individualized repositioning and pressure-relief plan. New persistent discolouration, heat, pain or broken skin needs assessment. Pressure injuries can deepen and become infected. [H38]

Plan for commode servicing and the cleaning of wheelchair handrims, handles and frequently touched equipment after contamination. Do not move a soiled care cloth onto a dining table or reuse it for another person. Keep assistance respectful and predictable.

Menstruation and reusable materials

Provide privacy, safe washing water, soap, enough clean absorbent materials and complete drying between uses. Do not store damp cloths or mix clean stock with soiled laundry. Choose supplies around the washing, drying and disposal capacity that actually exists. These needs belong in the main water and laundry budget. [H10, N1]

Infants and children

Support breastfeeding where possible. For infants who need formula, sterile ready-to-feed formula avoids the water-mixing step while supplies last. Powdered formula is not sterile and requires specific preparation and cleaning guidance. Never stretch formula by adding extra water or replace infant feeds with improvised recipes. Plan with skilled feeding support before ready-to-feed stock runs out. The plan must consider breastfeeding or relactation where feasible and the actual availability of safe infant feeds. It cannot assume another delivery. There is no generally safe homemade formula substitute to insert into a survival checklist. [H26]

Keep children away from waste-handling areas, open water containers, hot treatment equipment and sharps. Small children need active help with handwashing and toileting.

Preserve routine healthcare

Keep personal medication lists, allergies and care instructions. Before disruption, ask clinicians to plan interruptions, storage requirements and feasible alternatives for diabetes, lung disease, catheters and other needs. Some medicines and devices have no safe local replacement. Do not abruptly stop or ration prescribed treatment on the basis of a general survival guide. Oral care, adequate food, sleep and assistance with drinking remain daily priorities. They should not disappear when everyone is busy repairing buildings. [H23, H24]

Include clean maternity supplies and access to skilled birth care. Preserve condoms and avoid shared razors, needles or other blood-contaminated items. Illness prevention includes sexual and bloodborne transmission as well as toilets and drinking water. [H21, H39]

A person who becomes ill has not failed the community. In Service-to-Other practice, care and protection continue when someone can no longer perform their usual tasks.

16. Detect a cluster and interrupt it early

Keep a daily illness register to identify shared exposures. Protect private medical details while sharing the practical actions people need to take.

Minimum record for each new illness

• Person's identifier and age group; sleeping area or household.

• Date and time symptoms actually began.

• Main symptoms: diarrhea, vomiting, cough, fever, rash or wound problem.

• Shared meals, water batches and relevant animal or floodwater exposure.

• Danger signs, care given, referral and current condition.

• Who checked the person and when the next check is due.

Record symptoms rather than writing a disease name that has not been confirmed. A positive diagnosis, when obtained, should be added separately.

A practical response trigger

For this community plan, one severe case or two plausibly linked similar cases should prompt immediate review. This is a conservative local action rule, not a universal official outbreak definition. A single suspected high-consequence disease also needs urgent professional advice.

Work on care and exposure at the same time

1. Assess danger signs and request clinical or public-health help by the fastest available route.

2. Provide supported separation, safe fluids where appropriate and regular observation.

3. Pause the suspected food or water batch and provide a safe alternative. Do not cut off people's drinking supply without a replacement.

4. Inspect the source, treatment, storage, toilets, shared utensils and staff illness.

5. Contain and clean affected areas. Disinfect where an effective process is available; otherwise restrict access or withdraw affected items. Reinforce the best handwashing method actually available.

6. Follow new cases and revise the suspected explanation when evidence changes.

This sequence adapts WHO surveillance and sanitation-risk principles. Correct an obvious sewage leak or unsafe meal without waiting to identify the organism. [H1, H4]

Avoid spreading illness through the response

Assign caregivers and clean-water workers deliberately. If one person must change roles, provide time and supplies for hand hygiene, removing contaminated protection and changing soiled clothing. Keep visitors out of treatment workspaces while preserving contact with family.

Isolation means separating people who are ill. Quarantine concerns exposed people who are not yet ill. The need and duration depend on the disease; do not invent a universal quarantine period. Avoid punitive exclusion, public blaming and permanent labels.

Afterwards, repair the failed process and record what worked. A temporary fall in symptoms does not prove the cause is controlled.

A proposed community response sequence. Provide care and control exposure in parallel; do not wait for a confirmed diagnosis before seeking urgent help. See Chapter 16.

17. Keep prevention working without resupply

The Aftertime plan cannot end with an inventory of products. ZetaTalk newsletters discuss supplies being exhausted; the community must know which protections it can reproduce and which will be lost. [Z6, Z7]

Three categories for every essential task

Maintain locally: waste containment, protected water storage, drainage, ventilation, separate clean and dirty tools, food covering, drying racks and routines for early illness detection. These still require labour, repairs and materials, but do not depend on a purchased product for each use.

Produce with specific inputs: soap, treated water, washable cloths and some repair parts. Write down the complete dependency chain. Soap needs suitable fat or oil, a controlled alkali supply, water, equipment, skill and usually heat. Water treatment needs fuel or another dependable energy source. Cloth needs washing, drying and eventual replacement. None is automatically unlimited.

Finite or difficult to replace: medicines, vaccines, sterile medical supplies, manufactured respirators, disinfectants, reliable test materials and some seals or filter elements. Use surviving stock correctly and plan the consequences of its loss. Do not describe basic cleaning or improvised equipment as equivalent to the missing medical protection.

Plan the work and its inputs

For each essential routine, identify who does it, the water and fuel it consumes, the tools it needs, and which inputs can actually be renewed locally. Record remaining supplies, but do not make their purchase or continued availability the operating plan. Decide how the task changes when an input cannot be replaced.

Set the action point while there is time to respond. If soap-making inputs take several days to collect and process, start before the last bar. If gloves are almost exhausted, redesign waste handling and reduce unnecessary handling now. If no replacement treatment or protection is possible, reduce or stop the exposure rather than relabelling it safe.

Practical priorities during scarcity

• Protect soap for handwashing around toilets, food and care. Reduce cosmetic washing before essential hygiene.

• Keep safe-water vessels, taps and receiving containers repairable and separate from waste equipment.

• Allocate effective disinfectant to identified contamination risks; do not weaken the working concentration to stretch it.

• Preserve medical supplies for appropriate care, with trained judgement where available.

• Maintain dry storage and a covered place for washing and drying; fuel and labour belong in the same budget.

• Teach at least two people every critical routine, including tasks possible while seated.

These proposed routines reduce demand for scarce products by preventing contamination. They cannot remove every risk.

What the archives add

Troubled Times' Making Soap page and the May 7, 2023 newsletter on Pole Shift Ning discuss making soap from fats and an alkali derived from wood ash. The Ning newsletter also reproduces a warning about the imprecision of traditional strength checks. This supports learning production beforehand, not assuming the first improvised batch will be suitable for skin. [Z9, N5]

Build the skill before depending on it

A usable soap supply requires more than knowing that fat and alkali react. Identify realistic local inputs, a trained maker and a second person who can repeat the process. Practise with a documented method before disruption, keep written batch records and preserve the method's measuring and checking equipment. Changing the fat or the alkali strength changes the process; a single universal ratio is not a dependable recipe.

Plan the workshop separately from food preparation and clean care. It needs suitable dedicated vessels, controlled heating where required, protection for eyes and skin, protected ingredient storage and clean water for immediate flushing after an accidental exposure. Caustic alkalis can cause serious burns and react with unsuitable metals. If the required protection and process control are missing, do not start an improvised caustic batch beside living quarters. [H44]

Check the resources, not just the recipe

Fat and oil: identify a reliable source and its competing use as food. Do not assume waste grease will be plentiful or suitable. Avoid unknown industrial oils and chemically contaminated salvage.

Alkali: bought soap-making alkali is finite. Ash-derived material is variable; it requires a method designed for that material and competent control of its strength. Do not apply a recipe for known-purity sodium hydroxide to an unknown ash solution. Raw lye water is not soap and must not be used as a handwash. [Z9, H44]

Water, fuel and time: include processing, washing equipment, storage and any resting or curing required by the chosen method. No fixed waiting period makes a badly proportioned batch safe. The maker needs a way to assess and reject unsuitable batches before community use.

Tools and protection: keep dedicated measuring tools, suitable containers and protective equipment with the workshop. Loss of these can stop safe production even when the ingredients remain. Store finished soap so that daily use does not waste it into standing water.

This is a production-planning framework, not a soap recipe. The archive establishes a useful survival topic; skin safety and consistent manufacture still have to be demonstrated. Soap can be locally renewable under the right conditions. It should never be treated as an inexhaustible resource.

Ash, sand, vinegar, smoke and plant extracts are not established equivalents to correctly made soap or validated disinfection. Preserve reliable methods instead of turning a supply shortage into a new source of skin injury, contamination or false confidence. When soap is unavailable, use the limited handwashing fallback in Chapter 7 while restoring production.

18. Daily checks and first-week priorities

Adapt this example schedule to the site, population, water supply and skills available.

Every morning

• Ask about new diarrhea, vomiting, fever, cough, rashes and wound problems.

• Check that everyone can obtain drinking water, use the toilet and receive essential care.

• Inspect water containers, taps, treatment equipment and batch labels.

• Refill handwashing stations and inspect toilets for leaks, flies and capacity.

• Check bedding, food stores and shelter surfaces for dampness or mold.

During the day

• Keep raw and clean water equipment separate.

• Prepare food in manageable batches and record any storage failure.

• Remove waste before overflow and keep collection routes clear.

• Dry laundry fully; replace wet clothing and inspect vulnerable skin.

• Respond immediately to spills, a damaged water vessel or serious symptoms.

Every evening

• Confirm safe water and accessible toilets for the night.

• Check ill people and record who will respond if they deteriorate.

• Review days of usable supplies remaining, soap-making inputs, fuel, staffing and unfinished contamination problems.

• Secure food, waste, sharps, chemicals and hot equipment.

First 24 hours after a major disruption

Protect a usable water source, establish treatment and storage, contain feces, provide handwashing and identify urgent injuries or illness. Create a clean care area and a clear communications plan. Do not wait for a permanent building before setting basic hygiene rules.

Days 2-7

Improve drainage, toilet servicing, drying capacity and food protection. Establish the register and work rota, check vulnerable residents, assess which supplies can actually be replenished locally and practice the response to a water failure or diarrheal case. Measure water production rather than assuming the equipment is adequate.

Thereafter

Reassess after rain, ground movement, new arrivals, equipment breakdown or changes in food supply. Inspect waste capacity and contamination routes before expansion. Welcome newcomers with water, facilities and a practical orientation.

A community health system is the work between meals and emergencies: the covered water vessel, dry blanket, usable toilet, checked wound and person who notices a change early. Keeping these routines dependable is one of the most practical expressions of caring for others.

A first garden harvest brings food to the table. But can the same garden produce the seed for another harvest? That question determines whether the community is growing a renewable food supply or using up its remaining packets.

The Second Harvest follows one cycle from a small trial plot to the next planting. ZetaTalk’s Restart Gardens urges survivors to test whether crops can produce seed before committing a large reserve. 1. The first harvest is not the finish line

A meal made from the first garden can feel like a turning point. Yet eating every bean, leaf and fruit leaves the community dependent on whatever seed packets remain. The hard question is whether the crop can reproduce under local conditions and whether enough of its seed can be protected for the next sowing.

ZetaTalk’s Restart Gardens advises a test garden and asks whether the plants can actually produce seed before large reserves are committed. It also warns that old expectations about seasons, pollination and familiar crops may fail in its anticipated Aftertime [1]. This report uses that premise as a planning framework. The cultivation methods below come from horticultural sources and need local trial; no crop is guaranteed.

The kitchen, the garden and the seed store are one system. If the growing crew sends everything edible to the kitchen, the seed store empties. If too much is reserved for seed, people may go hungry now. A written agreement between growers and cooks should protect both needs [11].

2. The ZetaTalk source trail behind this plan

The first layer is ZetaTalk’s early Crop Failure warning from 1995. It describes unstable rain, drought and temperature disrupting production and the trade that once balanced regional shortfalls [12]. This is the predicted pressure that makes a local, repeatable food supply important within the ZetaTalk scenario.

The 1999 Growing Food passage shifts from storing a finite stock to being able to produce and restart food. It names seed, plants, algae and fish as different renewable paths, and treats knowledge of how to grow as a resource that cannot simply be carried away [13]. That does not mean every method will work everywhere. It means the loss of a single plot should not erase all food-producing capacity.

Restart Gardens in 2002 adds a stricter test. It warns that crops familiar before the shift may fail, and calls for a small test garden and evidence of seed production before scaling [1]. The three passages together make a progression: recognize crop failure, build production capacity, then prove that a locally grown crop can carry its own next cycle.

The Newsletters are a different kind of source. Issue 983 repeats the call to practice with small gardens and save seed, but its surrounding examples and crop suggestions are Nancy’s editorial discussion rather than a new ZetaTalk prediction [18]. This report preserves that distinction.

3. Read the place before planting it

Start with a small map. Mark the brightest ground, the areas that remain wet after rain, the direction of runoff, the route to usable water, the location of damaged structures, and any places where fuel, ash, chemicals, sewage or floodwater may have entered the soil. A patch of green growth does not establish that the site is safe for food.

In ZetaTalk’s anticipated setting, drizzle, gloomy skies and a changed target climate may differ by region [2–4]. On the ground, measure what this particular plot does: note hours of useful light, temperature, waterlogging and the date of each crop’s growth stage. Do not use a single imagined global crop list.

Choose the brightest safe site available and keep trial beds small enough to observe daily.
Avoid land with suspected chemical contamination or contact with floodwater; obtain local testing or a safer site where possible. Flood-contact produce is a separate food-safety concern [8].
In persistently wet soil, evaluate drainage and carefully sited raised beds; do not divert contaminated runoff into a water source [7].
Keep clean seed drying and storage away from the damp garden and from human or animal waste.

A salvaged cover can block excess rain, but opaque patches also reduce light and a sealed shelter traps humidity. Its value must be judged by growth, airflow and harvest, not by appearance alone [6].

4. A test plot is an experiment, not a miniature farm

Divide a small garden into labeled trial rows. Use more than one crop and more than one suitable variety when available. Keep a protected reserve separate from seed committed to the trial. Record the source and age of each seed lot. A later failure should be traceable to weather, soil, pests, disease, poor seed or a combination.

Track five outcomes: germination; survival through the damp period; edible yield; flowering and pollination; and the quantity and viability of seed obtained. A crop that makes leaves but cannot set seed may help today while failing the “second harvest” test. A crop that makes seed but too little edible food also needs to be judged honestly.

Plant a few replicated rows if space allows rather than trusting one lucky plant.
Change one important condition at a time in a comparison, such as drainage or cover.
Keep a dated notebook of sowing, emergence, disease, harvest weight and seed set.
Stop expanding a failing crop merely because many packets remain; conserve the reserve while testing alternatives [1].

The observations are community knowledge. A grower who is ill or moves on should not take the only record with them. Store a paper copy with the seed stock and teach a second person to interpret it.

5. Choose crops for a complete cycle

A seed packet is a promise only about the seed inside it, not about a harvest in a changed setting. Start with crops that match the available light, soil, moisture, growing season and cooking needs, then test them locally. Leaf crops can offer food before seed maturity, but leafy greens alone cannot provide all needed energy, protein and fat. Plan the wider food system accordingly.

For seed saving, open-pollinated varieties are a practical starting point. Beans, peas, tomatoes and peppers are relatively accessible examples because they commonly self-pollinate; carrots and beets are more demanding because they normally set seed in a second season. Hybrid seed can be planted and its offspring can be viable, but those offspring may differ unpredictably from the parent crop [5].

Corn and many vine crops demand more attention to pollination and cross-pollination. Pollinators may be scarce; fruiting and seed production cannot be assumed from leaf growth alone [5,9]. Select a diverse set of trials rather than betting the entire garden on one crop.

Do not turn “low light tolerant” into “no light needed.” Plants require light for growth; insufficient light can cut yield or prevent seed maturation [3,4]. Without reliable power, continuous artificial lighting is not a sensible baseline for most households. Use measured outdoor results to decide which crops justify scarce space.

6. Gloom, moisture and the crop-choice trap

A GodlikeProduction Q&A in December 2008 names scurvy grass, potatoes, sheep sorrel and various fungi when asked about vegetables without grow lights, then explicitly advises experimentation [14]. That is a shortlist to investigate, not evidence that all four are safe, nutritious or productive in a particular soil and season. Fungi do not photosynthesize, but edible cultivation still depends on species identification, clean substrate, moisture control and a sustainable input stream.

The original Restart Gardens passage also names changed rainfall, acidity, soil organisms and pollinating insects as variables that may defeat a familiar crop [1]. The Ning survival compilation connects dim light with poor crop return and wet ground with rot [4]. A plant surviving is a weaker outcome than a plant supplying enough food and seed.

Newsletter 822 describes practical learning problems in a family garden, including poultry eating seedlings and starter pots keeping frequent rain from drowning them [16]. A real trial can check protected seedlings, airflow, drainage and pollination separately. A cover that stops rain but also stops light may worsen the result; a growing structure without a viable power source is an additional dependency [3].

Keep local data for each proposed crop: emerged plants, edible weight, maturity date, seed return and losses. In ZetaTalk’s framework, even a previously reliable local crop may need replacing. In ordinary agronomy, crop performance still depends on measurable light, temperature, water, nutrients, pollination and disease.

7. Manage dampness, disease and fertility

When rain and humidity persist, disease can spread rapidly. Space plants to let leaves dry, avoid unnecessary work among wet foliage, remove rotten produce, inspect regularly and keep diseased plant material out of the healthy harvest. The University of Minnesota Extension recommends airflow, crop rotation and saving seed only from healthy plants [6].

Waterlogged soil needs drainage as well as nutrients. Raised beds can help in suitable places, but a badly placed bed may concentrate runoff or dry out unexpectedly. Watch the site after heavy rain before committing scarce labor or material. Soil fertility is not one recipe; excessive or unsuitable compost and manure can cause problems, and untreated waste introduces a separate contamination risk [7,10].

Use identifiable, well-managed plant-based compost where suitable; avoid improvised human-waste fertilization of food beds.
Rotate plant families when possible and record where crops grew [6].
Preserve tools and working paths so someone using a mobility aid or carrying water can reach the beds safely.

If a plot repeatedly fails, investigate before spending more seed. Different location, drainage, timing or crop may matter more than adding another layer of cover.

8. Protect seed before the meal is divided

Seed allocation is a deliberate harvest decision. The cooking crew should know which plants have been reserved to reach full maturity. The seed crew should know the minimum edible harvest needed now. A visibly marked seed row and a shared ledger help prevent accidental consumption of the next planting.

Choose healthy, vigorous plants with desirable traits from more than one parent when feasible. This is local selection, not a guarantee that one season creates a stable new variety. Allow beans and peas to dry in their pods; different crops require different harvest and drying methods. University of Minnesota Extension describes crop-specific procedures and warns against saving seed from unhealthy plants [5].

Dry seed thoroughly before sealing it. Keep separate lots in clean, labeled paper packets inside a dry, cool, sealed container. Record crop, variety, source, plot, harvest date and any disease concerns. Damp storage can destroy the next season’s supply. Older seed may germinate less reliably; test a small sample and reserve the rest rather than guessing [5].

Make two physically separated copies of critical seed where possible, with at least two people knowing where and how it is stored. That protects against one leak, fire, mistaken meal preparation or departure.

9. What the Newsletters add to the seed calendar

Newsletter 715 explains a distinction the first version of this report only touched briefly: annual crops can often complete a seed cycle in one growing season, while biennials such as many cabbages, onions and carrots need a second season or a managed dormant interval. Perennial plants and vegetative propagation follow different schedules [15]. A community that can harvest an onion bulb has not automatically learned to produce onion seed.

Newsletter 865 returns to mature seed, dry storage and the challenge of keeping biennials through dormancy [17]. Newsletter 983 presses the same practical message: learn how to save seed before it becomes the only source of next year’s crop [18]. These are editorial passages in the Newsletter, not separate direct ZetaTalk answers. Crop-specific methods should be checked against Extension guidance [5].

A seed calendar therefore needs more than a single harvest date. For each crop, record the edible harvest window, the plants reserved for seed, time to seed maturity, drying method, storage inspection date and a small germination check before sowing. If a root must survive to a second season, arrange suitable protected storage and keep spare propagating material where possible.

Some Newsletter instructions are too sweeping when applied to every site and species. Do not assume that hanging any plant upside down improves seed quality, that a root cellar is mandatory for every biennial, or that very ripe fruit alone guarantees viable seed. University of Minnesota Extension gives species-specific examples, explains open-pollinated and hybrid differences, and emphasizes healthy source plants and dry, cool storage [5].

10. The seed-to-seed decision

At the end of the trial, ask four questions in order. Did plants establish? Did they produce useful food? Did they set mature seed or reusable propagating material? Does a small germination test indicate that the next planting is possible? The answers determine whether to expand, repeat a trial with changes, or switch crops.

The test needs humility. A few sprouted seeds do not prove that a whole village can eat from that crop. Estimate area, work, water, losses and actual harvested food before scaling. Keep part of the successful seed as a reserve, and protect variety diversity rather than selecting only the earliest single plant.

If seed formation fails, harvest whatever safe food is available and reassess the crop, pollination and site. Do not throw the entire remaining stock into the same failure. If seed germinates but later rots, study drainage and disease. A failed row is information only if observations were recorded. ZetaTalk’s advice to test before large planting is particularly relevant here [1].

11. What fills the gap while gardens establish?

A test garden will not feed everyone immediately. A first season may be poor. Stored food, carefully assessed local foods, suitable fishing or livestock where feasible, and exchanges with other settlements may bridge the gap. None should be assumed plentiful or safe without local evidence. Pole Shift Ning’s survival compilation reflects the breadth of possible food sources in the ZetaTalk framework [4].

The community kitchen should adapt recipes to real harvests and record what is preserved, eaten, spoiled or set aside. Seed reserves belong in a protected production category rather than ordinary barter stock. Emergency feeding and long-term production should be discussed together, with people who have greater nutritional or care needs included [11].

Avoid optimistic yield charts detached from site, season and labor. A bed of greens is valuable but cannot replace staple calories by itself. Grain, legumes, tubers, perennial plants, animals and other sources involve different light, land, water, processing and safety demands. Build a portfolio that can be revised after each measured season.

12. Skills, access and community ownership

A resilient garden is a team, not a single expert. People can inspect leaves, record weather, clean containers, identify seed lots, mend covers, carry tools, dry seed, cook trial harvests or teach a child. Tasks should fit abilities and preferences. A raised, reachable work surface or firm route can make seed sorting and plant observation possible for people who cannot manage a muddy bed.

Protect knowledge from becoming a private monopoly. Use a shared notebook, teach the next grower and record mistakes as clearly as successes. Invite people who grew food in different climates to suggest trials, while checking each idea against the new local conditions. A community can share seed and growing observations with neighbors without giving away its entire reserve.

The practical measure of success is continuity: next season’s seed, healthy soil, multiple trained people and a food plan that survives one failed plot. The second harvest begins when the first one is still standing.

13. Beyond the open soil bed

ZetaTalk’s Growing Food passage describes restarting gardens alongside fish and algae production [13]. Newsletter 976 presents a Troubled Times worm-water hydroponic experiment as one possible approach [19]. The Newsletter’s account is an editorial report of that experiment, not a complete technical design or proof that a household can safely replace commercial nutrients and dependable lighting in all crops.

An indoor system must account for light, water quality, nutrient balance, oxygenation where required, vessel cleaning, seed or breeding stock, repairs and ongoing power. ZetaTalk’s Aftertime Nutrition passage itself makes light central to plant growth [3]. If one pump, lamp or sealed component fails and cannot be replaced, the system may stop. Evaluate it as an additional trial rather than the only route to food.

Newsletter 604 promotes permaculture and recycling, but its suggestions involving bathwater, urine and waste are not a blanket food-safety protocol [22]. Keep human waste, contaminated greywater and untested amendments away from edible crops unless a validated method and appropriate local expertise are available. The simple garden and seed store still require clean water, safe soil and disease control [6–8].

A robust settlement can run different small experiments in parallel: a conventional soil bed, protected seedlings, a tested perennial patch, and, if skills and resources permit, a contained indoor trial. Compare measured edible output and the ability to reproduce it, not the novelty of the equipment.

14. The work must outlive one grower

A 2010 Ning Q&A proposes teams to inventory seed and food stocks, secure drinking water and identify hand gardening tools when a group suddenly becomes larger than expected [20]. A 2022 Ning answer stresses that gardening, raising flocks and other food skills have a learning curve. A bag of seed alone does not provide that skill [21].

Turn those passages into a simple shared routine: one team watches and records the plots, one protects drying and storage, one tracks food needs with the kitchen, and more than one person can identify seed lots and repeat the germination test. Cross-train before a key worker is sick or absent. The people receiving food should be able to see why some of the harvest has been protected for planting.

The practical result is a cycle that can recover from a poor season: multiple seed lots, documented trial results, a safe growing site, tools that can be repaired, and several people who know the work. That is a deeper reading of the archive’s repeated call for self-sufficiency, without claiming that any named crop or system is guaranteed to succeed.

SOZT Missoula lies in a valley between mountain ranges that are riddled with rivers draining the steep mountain sides. If Kiev has multi-tonal trumpets because the reservoir is vibrating, and Belarus has horns because the river there is vibrating, then why should Missoula be exempt? The regions where the vibrating Earth plays music are where water is being vibrated. Elsewhere, it sounds like a roar, like Godzilla rising from the sea and roaming the land. Noise is sound where every frequency is heard. Music is controlled such that harmonics or coinciding or duplicating frequencies are heard.

That several distinct tones were heard in Missoula, each in turn, only means that the body of water producing them increased its frequency from tone to tone. In Kiev, chords were heard, as more than one arm of the reservoir was set to vibrating. The thrumming or fan beating sound that preceded the Missoula tones was the rock layers being pulled apart, as the N American continent is being pulled into a bow, as we have often explained. As the jerking apart and rebound of the underlying rock layers picked up the pace, the pitch of the music the nearby river produced climbed. Simple as that.

It would appear we are seeing the "Kiev Effect" taking place worldwide now, and only recently on this scale; there is obviously more to this than meets the eye, would the Zetas care to comment?

Where initially only a hum, and only in certain notorious parts of the world, rock under stress has become noisy. Known as the Taos hum, the sound of a diesel engine running somewhere underground was an early entry. Then the Seattle drums entered the arena, rhythmic booming which was ascribed to flapping manhole covers. Booms from snapping and heaving rock were reported in the New Madrid region and humming along the St. Lawrence Seaway increased.

But in 2011, it became clear that where we predicted that the Earth would moan during the 5.9 days of rotation stoppage, it was not going to be silent between then and now. The trumpets of Kiev and the horns of Belarus went viral on the Internet, followed quickly by a roar over Tampa Bay that sounded like Godzilla emerging from the sea. Now, in early 2012, this has spread to the drums of Costa Rica and the howl of Alberta and the Borneo snore.

Where is this leading? At least half the Earth, at any given point in time, will be having some sort of tension in its rock. Clapping and grinding fault lines, vibrating bodies of water, trembling rock strata resisting being pulled apart, and snapping rock under compression or being bent. All will be noisy, and the most likely reaction among those who hear it will be to conclude that the End Times have arrived. However known in various cultures around the world, allhave some reference to the coming times. The establishment will be unable to explain away these sounds, and once again the Internet will be sought and will lead inevitably to our explanations.

Is it the mysterious sound of the so-called coming Apocalypse? Some think that the mysterious sound heard in Costa Rica at around 12:30am this morning is exactly that. It is important to note that this is not the wind nor was it filmed anywhere near the ocean. The sound was heard throughout the entire country from Heredia to Perez Zeledon. The Costa Rica Volcanologist and Seismologist Organization is saying there is no Earth movements recorded at the time of the strange sound.

There is a subset of the Caribbean Plate called the Panama Plate, though this subset moves as one with the Caribbean Plate. Nevertheless, there is a fault line running through Costa Rica, and during the incessant pressure of the slow-moving S American roll fault lines can pull apart and bang back together again, like clapping. As the recent cold spells in India reveal, the N Pole of Earth is pushed violently away when the Sun is over New Zealand and the magnetic N Pole of Earth (currently over Siberia) comes up over the horizon. This equates to midnight in Costa Rica, which is when the drums were heard. Residents there should get used to these midnight drums, which will be with them for some time.

This is an opportunity to discuss the public's expectations of Nancy, who is a single person, 78 years old, with health concerns, who works every day for as many hours as her health allows on getting the message out to the world. She was asked, in the early days of ZetaTalk, to be as educated on astronomy as astronomers, and did so to a degree that allowed her to support the imaging of the inbound Planet X. She supported our debates on sci.astro on the absurdity of human math when faced with reality, on the matter of why the Moon is in the skies and not crashing to Earth, even though she does not speak math any more than she speaks Greek. To properly translate our concepts, Nancy, as she has so often mentioned, must be on the same page as ourselves, versed sufficiently in the subject to understand our response. Thus she has been asked to be educated to the level of a biologist or geneticist on the matter of the hybrids, to be a geologist on plate movements, to be a vulcanologist, to be a hydrologist on water movement, to be an archeologist re ancient civilizations, to be an electrician when discussing survival equipment, and to be a sociologist and political scientist on the matter of human behavior. Where images do not exist on the web, she draws them sufficiently to explain our words. We do not, on every answer, require Nancy to spend hours positioning herself such that she goes beyond what is needed to relay our message.

Water in the Aftertime: A System We Can Build, Repair and Rebuild

A practical combination of filtration, distillation and protected storage, built around replaceable parts and salvaged materials.

Preparing a water supply for the Aftertime means thinking beyond the equipment we own today. A filter can crack. A distiller can be crushed. A replacement cartridge may become impossible to obtain. Even a well-prepared group needs to know how to restore its water supply when part of the system fails.

The aim is a complete water station that can be assembled, maintained and rebuilt from simple, suitable materials. Several separate components work together, while remaining easy to inspect and replace.

Distillation remains the final step

ZetaTalk advises distilling drinking and cooking water after the Pole Shift. The May 3, 2014 discussion addresses contaminated water, damaged infrastructure and simple distillation rigs that can operate over a fire.

This model follows that advice: all water intended for drinking and cooking passes through distillation. Settling and filtration come first to reduce sediment and help the equipment work. They do not provide a shortcut to the drinking-water container.

Boiling is part of distillation, but the processes are different. With boiling alone, the water remains in the pot. Distillation collects the steam and cools it back into liquid in a separate clean receiver. That separation is central to this design.

How the parts work as one system

Select a source → settle → prefilter → distill → collect and store.
Cooling water and utility water remain separate from the drinking-water route.

1. Collection and settling. Start with the least contaminated source available. Covered containers allow grit and heavier particles to settle. Carefully decant the upper water, leaving the sludge behind.

2. Washable pretreatment. Cloth removes larger debris. A replaceable sand-and-gravel stage can reduce more sediment when suitable clean materials are available. Its output remains labelled as raw or filtered feed. A homemade sediment filter is not automatically a properly functioning biosand filter.

3. A measured batch into the boiler. Feed water is carried to the still in manageable batches. This removes the need for an automatic feeder and reduces the number of valves and connections that can fail. The raw-water bucket never becomes the clean-water storage vessel.

4. Heating and condensation. The boiler produces steam. A cooler surface or separate condenser turns that steam back into liquid. The cooling water stays outside the steam and product-water path.

5. Protected collection. Collect the distillate in a cleaned, heat-sanitized vessel, then close and label it appropriately. Keep hands, cups, raw-water utensils and dirty hoses out of the stored water.

Three ways to build the distillation section

A simple pot-and-bowl backup

A clean collecting bowl stands securely inside a larger pot, above the feed-water level. A loose inverted metal lid provides a condensing surface, directing droplets into the inner bowl. The arrangement needs no coil, welding or custom cartridge. Collection interrupts operation, and output must be measured, but its simplicity makes it a valuable fallback.

A boiler with an external condenser

This is the arrangement illustrated above. Suitable metal tubing carries steam from a pot to a separate cooling bath. Condensed water drains through the tubing into the receiver. The boiler, condenser and bath can be serviced separately. Sound joints, an unobstructed steam route and an open product outlet are essential.

A stacked-pot condensing head

The stainless-steel design on Pole Shift Ning, developed from a Troubled Times design, provides another approach. Steam reaches a collecting area beneath a separate cooling pot, and condensate drains out. It is an option for a surviving unit or a group with the tools and skill to fabricate the head.

My recommendation is to practise the basic pot arrangement first, then add a more convenient condenser while preserving the simpler backup. The rest of the station can remain in use when the distillation module changes.

There will be salvage. Choose what touches the water carefully.

Pots, bowls, food containers, suitable tubing, metal frames and hand tools can become useful resources. A dented exterior does not necessarily make a sound pot unusable. An attractive-looking container does not tell us what it previously held.

Look for: sound uncoated stainless cookware, identifiable suitable tubing and parts that can be opened and cleaned. Prefer small heat-safe metal vessels on the clean-water side; reserve ordinary plastic buckets for raw-water work.
Keep out of the water and steam path: vehicle radiators, refrigeration coils, fuel or pesticide containers, unknown solder and unidentified coatings.
Use structural salvage separately: timber, masonry and metal frames can support equipment without becoming water-contact surfaces.
Keep repairs simple: replace a failed vessel or pipe section rather than depending on glue, resin or tape exposed to steam and drinking water.

Standardizing a few container and fitting sizes within the group can make repairs easier. Keep a spare pot, receiving bowl, cloth and basic tools somewhere separate from the main station, so one accident does not destroy both the working system and its backup.

What happens when bleach is no longer available?

The station must remain serviceable without a disinfectant supply. Add a separate open boiling pot for cleaning equipment, with a dedicated brush, metal tongs and two sets of small heat-safe receiving vessels and lids. Choose parts that can be taken apart, scrubbed and heat-treated. This sanitation module supports the clean-water side of the station.

Clean first, removing dirt and deposits with safe water and a dedicated brush. Use plain soap when available, then rinse. For compatible, pre-cleaned small items, fully immerse them in safe water, remove trapped air and boil for five minutes. Handle them with clean tongs and air-dry protected. FDA supports boiling cleaned metal utensils; the five-minute example comes from CDC guidance for suitable small feeding items. It is not a validated treatment cycle for an entire homemade still.

A quick splash of boiling water or a little steam is not enough to demonstrate sanitation of all surfaces. Product tubing needs access for cleaning. Small plain-metal receivers are easier to maintain this way than a large plastic storage tank. Never boil a sealed container or assume that an unknown plastic vessel tolerates the heat.

If soap also runs out, prompt scrubbing and repeated rinsing can remove loose dirt, but do not reliably remove all grease or deposits. Keep clean-water vessels dedicated to water. A part that cannot be cleaned adequately stays out of the clean-water path. Ash, sand, vinegar and sunlight should not be treated as interchangeable disinfectants.

The practical cycle becomes clean, heat-sanitize, protect, collect and repeat. Include the necessary fuel and safe cleaning water in the daily workload. Distillation remains the final treatment for drinking and cooking water; sanitation protects it afterwards.

Cooling, fuel and daily output need a plan

A larger fire will not solve an overheated condenser. The cooling bath absorbs heat and must be managed. Allow suitable coolant to cool for reuse, rotate baths, or use an appropriately isolated cooling circuit. Water warmed in the bath has not automatically received enough treatment for drinking or washing.

Measure output over a full working period, including warm-up, cooling, cleaning and refilling. At a measured net rate of one litre per hour, producing twenty litres takes twenty operating hours. That simple calculation shows why a group may need several small units and an organized rota.

Solar distillation can supplement production where actual sunlight and equipment permit. It should not be the only plan for prolonged gloom. Surviving commercial equipment can still be useful, but the ability to keep operating should extend beyond its spare parts.

Keep the operating rules clear

Do not turn a makeshift still into a pressure vessel. Maintain an independent open vent path, do not clamp the boiler shut, and never block, valve off or immerse the product outlet. Stop heating if flow stops unexpectedly or the system surges. Let it cool before investigating.

Source selection still matters. Distillation is effective against many dissolved contaminants, but some volatile chemicals can travel with the steam. Do not assume fuel-contaminated or unknown industrial runoff becomes drinkable because it has passed through a still. Clear appearance, taste or a low TDS reading cannot establish safety.

Keep the streams separate. Boiling-only water belongs to a utility branch for suitable uses, subject to its source quality. Concentrated residue from the boiler must not return to the source, drinking supply or food garden. Collection and storage need the same care as treatment itself.

A community system needs people as well as equipment

One person can collect water, another prepare cloth filters, another manage the heat and cooling, and another label and record batches. An accessible clean-water tap, smaller carrying containers and seated tasks allow more people to contribute. Hot-water handling should be assigned to someone able to manage it safely.

Practise while tools, replacement materials and water testing are available. The attached guide is a researched build concept, not the result of a physical prototype test. The actual assembly needs supervised trials, inspection and appropriate water-quality checks before anyone depends on it.

The preparation goal is to preserve the knowledge, tools and interchangeable parts needed to restore a water supply when equipment breaks. A community that can rebuild its essential systems has a stronger foundation for the Aftertime.

Thirty years ago in 1995 at the start of the ZetaTalk saga and again in 2005 the Zetas predicted that weather extremes would increase steadily, going into the passage of Nibiru. Now as 2026 is the year of the Passage of Nibiru, records are increasingly being broken.

ZetaTalk Weather Extremes 7/29/2005: We warned at the start of ZetaTalk, in 1995, that unpredictable weather extremes, switching about from drought to deluge, would occur and increase on a lineal basis up until the pole shift. Where this occurred steadily, it has only recently become undeniable. ZetaTalk, and only ZetaTalk, warned of these weather changes, at that early date. Our early warnings spoke to the issue of global heating from the core outward, hardly Global Warming, a surface or atmospheric issue, but caused by consternation in the core. Affected by the approach of Planet X, which was by then starting to zoom rapidly toward the inner solar system for its periodic passage, the core was churning, melting the permafrost and glaciers and riling up volcanoes. When the passage did not occur as expected in 2003 because Planet X had stalled in the inner solar system, we explained the increasing weather irregularities in the context of the global wobble that had ensued - weather wobbles where the Earth is suddenly forced under air masses, churning them. This evolved by 2005 into a looping jet stream, loops breaking away and turning like a tornado to affect the air masses underneath. Meanwhile, on Planet Earth, droughts had become more intractable and deluges positively frightening, temperature swings bringing snow in summer in the tropics and searing heat in Arctic regions, with the violence of storms increasing in number and ferocity.

Is this as bad as it will get, prior to the pole shift when hurricane force winds will sweep the Earth and every region of the globe will emerge with a new climate and geography? Has the lineal increase we predicted in 1995 reached its climax? We are not here with good tidings, nor were we here with good tidings in 1995. ZetaTalk, blunt and honest, is not for the faint at heart, but for those willing to take a serious warning and act on it.
*   The coastlines will get increasingly inhospitable, as storms formed over the oceans can develop into a howling rage that dissipates over land. As we have stated, hurricane force storms will not develop into super storms, more violent than man has experienced, but will form in places not previously experienced, and will be more consistently strong and destructive. In some places around the globe, this will make coastlines uninhabitable, a place where crops are grown or fish harvested but where humans do not reside or sleep soundly.
*    Where deserts have formed based on geology, mountain ranges blocking rain clouds or the atmosphere depleted of rain during a long trip over land masses, this will change as the direction of wind flow changes. Lands used to regular rains, now suffering droughts, may find these droughts turning their land into deserts. Rain forests are likewise formed by geology and wind currents, and these may fear being washed away as rain comes not only more often but with a greater load of water picked up by fast moving air currents traveling over large bodies of water. Drought or deluge, there will be few places on Earth not affected by one of these extremes, and all of this affects the success of crops.
*    Temperature extremes, and in particular temperature swings, will increase, so that the seasons almost blend into one another. If Summer is expected to be a time of extreme heat, and Winter extreme cold, man may find his Summer cool with odd brief snowstorms and Winter confusing the crops wanting to go into their annual hibernation. The key will be unpredictability, as a looping jet stream and increasing extremes of high and low pressure over land will force the atmosphere into unexpected directions.

Where does this place man, as he learns of the likelihood of a pole shift caused by the passage of a rogue planet - Planet X? Most will stubbornly stay in place, refusing to contemplate the unpleasant and preferring to accept any explanation the establishment proffers. Suffering will increase, but will result in riots and angry outbursts or illness from malnutrition and depressed immune systems or the psychological depression that comes from a sense of hopelessness. Those who have decided to live, and help others to do so, will find the argument, whether to stay or go, tipping in the direction of a move. Coastal areas may be pleasant, and river basins rich with delta soil, and the commerce that has grown up near ports and great rivers providing jobs, but the tribulations of a self sufficient family home in the hinterland will seem increasingly worth it. This is the push the weather extremes will bring. Add to this increasing volcanic and quake activity, making the fault lines unattractive and life in crowded cities likely to be suffering from collapse as their infrastructure is shattered and pulled apart. All of these matters will speak to those who want to survive, in a voice louder than any reassurance from the establishment. Make your plans. Cut your losses. And get out of harms way to a place where you can at least have a chance of feeding your family and surviving the weather extremes.

Domed Cities in the Aftertime

A city of rounded dwellings spreads across a quiet landscape. Soft light fills the interiors, plants grow within sheltered spaces, and a human family meets beings whose appearance is unmistakably different from its own. Above them, two craft pass beneath a heavy sky.

The picture brings together several strands of ZetaTalk’s Aftertime material: domed communities, shared life with Zetas and hybrids, advanced food production, and a society organized around Service-to-Other. It depicts a developed community, with daily life already taking shape.

This article explains the source material behind the scene. The artwork is an AI-generated interpretation. Its location, layout, landscaping and individual encounters are artistic choices. The biodome and IPS presentations are architectural proposals hosted on ZetaTalk, while the community descriptions come from the ZetaTalk texts and Nancy’s accounts.

1. A city made of domes

Individual dome buildings give this scene its character. Larger structures accommodate growing areas and shared activities; smaller ones suggest places to live. Open paths and a few enclosed connections join the settlement. This is the chosen arrangement for the illustration, rather than a published master plan.

The Space Age Biodomes presentation treats shelter as an environment supporting life. Its contents cover accommodation, crop growing, water, atmosphere, nutrients, temperature and recycling. The introduction presents the project as a proposal seeking development and funding. It should be read in that historical context. [4]

The related Interlocking Panel System proposes a durable metal enclosure. Its preferred form combines a dome overhead, a circular vertical wall and an inverted dome underneath. The rounded foundation is therefore part of the concept, even when hidden below the landscape. [5, 6]

For the artwork, those ideas informed the curved metallic shells and low profiles. The entrances, transparent openings, building sizes and connecting passages remain visual interpretations. The diagram explains the proposal’s shape; it is not a construction drawing or an assessment of structural performance.

2. Light, food and a sheltered environment

Light spread across surfaces

The Gobi Desert account offers a specific visual reference. Nancy describes a faint yellowish-white glow from a coating on cavern walls and compares it with the appearance of light inside the ships. This suggests broad, softly illuminated surfaces. The warm ivory interiors in the picture draw on that account. Applying the same treatment to an outdoor dome settlement is an artistic extension. [8]

The hosted Biodome Lighting proposal also discusses light coming from an inner surface. It describes a phosphor coating excited by shielded ultraviolet lights directed upward. That proposed human lighting system and the Gobi account are different sources. Their visual similarity does not establish that they use the same technology. [7]

Growing food as part of the home environment

Hybrid Homes describes automated food production alongside controlled temperature and light. It also portrays scientific investigation as a widespread activity. Those details informed the sheltered growing areas visible in the large dome. The arrangement of planting beds and the particular vegetation were chosen for the illustration. [1]

As an architectural reading of the scene, food cultivation belongs near the spaces people use every day. Residents can see the systems that support them. A growing area becomes part of the community’s shared environment, alongside places for conversation, rest and learning.

The sky outside

The restrained sunlight, wet paths and cloud cover establish the picture’s Aftertime atmosphere. They do not identify a location, season or year. The developed planting and completed buildings suggest an established settlement; the image is not a depiction of the first days after the Pole Shift.

3. The residents and the way they move

Recognizably different beings

Nancy’s Introductions account describes extremely thin Zetas whose close-fitting appearance makes it difficult to distinguish skin from clothing. Her description of a hybrid child includes a rounder head, large eyes and clothing with a visibly different fit. The accounts support keeping the Zetas and hybrids visually distinct. [9]

In the picture, the Zetas have enlarged craniums, dark almond-shaped eyes, small lower faces and very slender limbs. Their smooth body and foot coverings were chosen to avoid ordinary human shoes and tailoring. These artistic details should not be read as a universal uniform or exact anatomical specification.

Levitation as ordinary movement

In the Gobi account, a Zeta floats across the residence cavern instead of walking down and back up to reach the other side. That is a quiet domestic moment: movement serving an everyday purpose. [8]

Telekinesis describes self-levitation and the movement of objects as abilities available in its discussion of fourth-density species. It connects those abilities with the capacities of the body and with learned control. This provides the broader context for the requested portrayal of both Zetas and hybrids using levitation. It does not supply a standard height, posture or speed for every individual. [10]

The image therefore keeps most residents grounded and includes subtle hovering. Relaxed posture and a small separation from the surface give the movement an everyday quality. Walking remains part of the scene, especially for the human visitors.

A meeting at human scale

The family in the foreground gives the city an emotional center. The encounter is deliberately calm. Its meaning is carried by proximity, attention and a shared path. These figures are imagined residents, not portraits of named people or a reconstruction of a particular contact experience.

4. What holds the community together

Hybrid Homes describes several possible arrangements: humans living among hybrids and Zetas, separate hybrid communities, and human communities receiving technology. It also says most human societies would remain human, with mixed communities comparatively uncommon. The image represents one of the mixed settings described there. [1]

The 13 August 2011 discussion ties open assistance and the creation of domed communities to Service-to-Other conditions. It describes help taking different forms, including guidance toward other survivors, rescue, technology and closer collaboration. It also describes residents participating in outreach after the Pole Shift. [2]

The Pole Shift Ning blog A Message of Hope brings these passages into a broader community conversation about the Transformation. Its relevance to this scene is the connection between help, shared life and responsibility for others. The city’s architecture gives those relationships a visible setting. [3]

What shared life would ask of its residents

The following is an application of that community theme. A settlement would need ways to welcome newcomers without overwhelming them, to give children familiar routines, and to include people whose mobility, stamina or communication differs. Comfortable buildings alone would not settle those questions.

Shared work could include introducing a new arrival to neighbors, helping someone find a quiet place, explaining an unfamiliar system, or noticing that a person has withdrawn. Advanced equipment could change the amount of physical labor required. Attention, patience and consideration would still shape daily life.

A community also needs room for each person’s voice. Hybrid Homes explicitly describes uncensored sharing of news and community decisions by vote. This gives the social picture substance: residents participate in the life around them. [1]

Hope expressed through participation

The useful question raised by the scene is how people would live together once immediate danger no longer occupied every moment. The answer developed here is practical: make space for one another, share knowledge, and allow everyone a meaningful role. These are editorial implications of the community material, not additional ZetaTalk statements.

5. The craft above the city

The two craft extend the scene beyond its buildings. Nancy’s Introductions account describes a dark-gray saucer. Saucer Shapes discusses both the familiar disc and a bell-like form with a raised center. These descriptions informed the shape and subdued metallic finish used in the artwork. [9, 12]

Levitate discusses hovering craft and an internal center of gravity. That provides the source context for their suspended appearance, without requiring wings, rotors or visible exhaust in the illustration. [11]

Yes, lights are part of the material

The UFO Sightings compilation includes Nancy’s account of colored lights moving into and out of a cloud associated with a concealed mothership. The source supports including visible illumination. It does not establish one standard light arrangement for every saucer. [13]

For this scene, the nearer craft has a restrained underside glow. The farther craft has a smaller, fainter light, consistent with its distance and the haze. Their exact colors, placements and brightness are artistic choices. No beam or spotlight is needed to convey their presence.

Reading the complete picture

The composition brings together three kinds of material: ZetaTalk’s community descriptions, architectural concepts from the hosted shelter presentations, and Nancy’s accounts of encounters and environments. The landscape and staging join those elements into a single imagined place.

Several details remain intentionally open. The scene assigns no geographic coordinates, settlement population or date. It does not establish which species every small background figure represents. Its vegetation, water and sunlight belong to the artistic setting.

What the picture makes visible is a particular possibility within ZetaTalk’s Aftertime narrative: homes with light, food growing nearby, children in a shared environment, and contact becoming part of ordinary community life. The strongest subject is the relationship between the residents and the place they inhabit.

The Aftertime Signal: How Communities Share Information When Networks Fail

An Aftertime community can keep food, tools and shelter working yet still lose time when a warning never reaches the person who needs it. A radio may connect settlements, but the message must also reach a particular family, carer, traveller or neighbour. This article asks how a community can keep information moving when familiar networks fail.

ZetaTalk's Short Wave describes shortwave as a communication mode for survivors. Its later discussion covers radio contact, field power and possible digital relays. The arrangements below are practical editorial proposals within that Aftertime framework, not additional statements by the Zetas or a promise that any particular radio link will work. [1, 2]

The message needs a chain

The first person sees the problem. A second writes down what happened, where, when and how they know. The information travels by voice, paper or radio. Someone delivers it to the people affected. Finally, someone checks whether they received it and what they need to act. ARRL's radio message practice shows why accurate addressing, priority and delivery matter at every handoff. [7, 8]

An urgent message heard at a radio desk is still unfinished if a household cannot hear the desk or reach its noticeboard. A written board is useful for public updates, while a messenger or direct conversation may be needed for people who are away, have limited mobility, or use a different communication format. UNDRR's inclusive warning guidance connects accessible communication with the ability to respond. [12]

Radio is a skill and a routine

Pole Shift Ning's discussion of electrical power makes a practical distinction: a receiver used for listening and a station capable of transmitting are different undertakings. An effective station needs tested equipment, power, an operator, an antenna arrangement and someone at the other end listening. A hand-powered receiver alone cannot send a two-way message. [5]

Keep a dry paper log with a trained operator and backup. Record last successful contact rather than assuming a link always works. Agree when the post is staffed and what people should do outside those hours. ZetaTalk and Troubled Times discuss shortwave and packet relay; digital relay adds compatible computers and skills, while an accurate voice message can already help. [1, 3, 4]

Make a warning precise

Compare these fictional messages:

Unclear: "The bridge is gone. Nobody can travel north."
Useful: "Two walkers saw damage to the lower footbridge at 14:10. They did not check other routes. Tell the supply party not to use that bridge until it is inspected. Please confirm that the party received this."

The second version identifies the source, time, limits of observation, requested action and acknowledgement. If the facts change, date the correction and send it to the same recipients. A rumour can move faster than its correction; the IFRC's 2026 disaster report documents the harm misleading information can cause in real emergencies. [8, 9]

ARRL distinguishes emergency, priority, welfare and routine radio traffic. A community can agree on a simpler order so immediate danger is handled before a routine update, while welfare messages still receive attention. Label what is observed, unconfirmed or corrected. Importance cannot be measured by who shouts loudest. [7]

Delivery must include everyone

Ask residents how they want to receive news. A large written notice may work for one person, spoken words for another, a direct visit or adapted format for someone else. Include people with disabilities in deciding how alerts reach them. If an action requires travel, ask whether the route and support are usable, not merely whether the person has heard the warning. [10, 12]

Keep public notices separate from private details about illness, family separation or care. Share those details only with people who need them for a specific task. Give residents a way to question a message, report a mistake and receive the corrected version. Trust is maintained by follow-through. [10, 11]

An exercise for your community

Start with a fictional blocked path. Have one person observe, another write the message, a third pass it onward and a fourth receive it. Ask the final recipient to repeat what they understood. Now assume the radio is unavailable and repeat the exercise using the alternative route. Record where the information stalled. Pole Shift Ning's article about moving people without fuel is a reminder that even a paper message has a physical journey. [8, 13]

The purpose is to build a chain that can survive a missing operator, a broken link and an honest correction. ZetaTalk's Civilization warns that practical knowledge can disappear when daily survival consumes every hour. A dated log, a trained backup and a community that listens to its members help preserve information people can actually use. [14]

Dragon Prophecy

The frightening image of Nibiru in the skies, surrounded by his writhing tail, is described in the Book of Revelations and by Mother Shipton as a Dragon with 7 heads. Nibiru and its Dominant Moons are depicted in the Bible, and when the Passage is near at hand the Nibiru Complex will slide between the Earth and Sun, so sunlight will come through the vast dust cloud of the Nibiru Complex looking indeed like a Dragon with many heads.

Book of Revelations: And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters, and they became blood. And there was a great earthquake, such as not since men were upon the earth. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Revelation 12:1-16: A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days. Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The great dragon was hurled down. Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

Mother Shipton: For seven days and seven nights
Man will watch this awesome sight.
The tides will rise beyond their ken
To bite away the shores and then
The mountains will begin to roar
And earthquakes split the plain to shore.
Not every soul on Earth will die
As the Dragons tail goes sweeping by.
Not every land on earth will sink
But these will wallow in stench and stink
Of rotting bodies of beast and man
Of vegetation crisped on land.

Certainly, the description of the current location and visibility of Nibiru fits. Nibiru is clearly the Dragon, which has a String of Pearls lineup of Moon Swirls nearby - the seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns . Nibiru has been moving outbound from the Sun, and though not eclipsing the Sun as yet, the vast tail sweeps to the left, and does occlude the Sun, standing in front of the Sun . The stars falling from the sky are all the fireballs from debris in the tail, which has been increasingly bombarding the Earth since 2003. And a terrible battle with the Dragon moving on, the Earth temporarily flooded, fits too. This is the Pole Shift during the passage of Nibiru.

The Moons of Nibiru were detailed early in the ZetaTalk saga. Nibiru has a couple dozen Moons equal in size to the Earth's Moon. No collision with Earth is expected during Nibiru's passage, as Nibiru will not come closer than 14 million miles from the Earth and the Moons of Nibiru cling closely to Nibiru, not more than 5 million miles from Nibiru. Nevertheless, they add to the display mankind sees, which legend and prophecy says is terrifying. All is in motion, so the Nibiru Complex is described as a dragon.

ZetaTalk Description 2001: Moons in orbit around planets in a relatively circular orbit around a sun have more than their planet affecting their behavior. They are of a mass that prevents their plummeting to the planet, as they are evoking the gravitational repulsion force between themselves and their planet. They are moving, not stationary, not because of the attraction to the planet, which is at a standstill, but because of attractions to other elements in the solar system. This swirl, unique to man in any comets or planets it observes, is what caused the ancients to call the passing monster, red in the sky because of its illuminated red dust cloud, a dragon, lashing its tail, the swirl of moons.

Thus the rampaging Dragons of yore became a symbol for Nibiru.

In the Orient the dragon is featured on pottery and in parades, and European myths are replete with Knights in armor going into battle against firebreathing dragons. The dragons invariable have wings and are shaped suspiciously like dinosaurs. Is there some basis in fact for this common human memory? Indeed there is. Where the dinosaurs died out long before mankind was engineered into being from ape stock, the Earth was not the only planet to give birth to such creatures. Evolution follows similar patterns, and where your Earth brought forth dinosaurs with wings, just so did other planets compatible with the Earth.

Your dragons were transplants brought to the Earth by early ambassadors from the Service-to-Self, who anticipated an increased harvest of lackeys from the Earth due to the fear and despair their dragons wrought. Were the dragons intelligent and incarnated with souls? No. On a scale of 1 to 10, where the average dog is a 10, a dragon was barely a 3. This is why, in spite of the massive size and capacity to fly as well as lumber over hill and dale, they were so easily slain. Dumb brutes.

Hundreds were brought to Earth, and released on terrified villages. The dragons ate humans, which were neither swift runners or able to barricade themselves in their mud huts, and were a tastier morsel than the deer, which ran fast and had taut, lean muscles. The legends speak of sacrifices, where humans would periodically offer one of their own to placate the dragon. Well, of course this reduced the rampages, as dinner had been brought to the door.

Where some dragons mated, they were scattered to begin with and, dying without progeny, eventually disappeared from the Earth. There were perhaps a few hundred delivered, and their reign, ending only in the last Millennia, lasted for thousands of years. The stories of dragons, all the more impressive as they were true, spread more widely than the dragons themselves. Did they breath fire? No. But when roaring, open mouthed, it felt like that to those within range. Hot breath and a big wind pipe.

Nibiru has gone by many names. It is called Wormwood in the Bible, called Marduk by the ancient Babylonians, and Azoth during the Middle Ages. We should certainly add Dragon to this list.
