Wait a minute...? Didn't I just tell you above this just over a week ago...?

Well yes and no: that was about a papercraft Star Wars AT-ST to recreate a Hoth battle scene, (because AT-ST's were there, remember?)

But really, Masayu-i already told me that he was plan1ning to create a free papercraft AT-AT too. The Hoth scene is far more famous for that, because the rebel pilots manage to ensnare the evil Empire's AT-AT warmachines with harpoons from their snow speeders to disable them (and then of course Luke being the hero manages to destroy one with his light saber too after being downed himself... 😉) and then well, spoilers, I guess? (for that one person that really doesn't already know what happens next in The Empire Strikes Back 😇)

free papercraft Star Wars Hoth AT-ST & Snow Speeder diorama!

Way back in 2012, I featured an "A-MB-3 airport crash tender" papercraft model by the Japanese papercraft designer Masayu-i. I didn't really keep up with the site I think because there were (and luckily there still are! 😉) just so many papercraft sites with ready-to-print-and-build templates that you can download for free from the internet of course!

But Masayu-i didn't stop making new templates of course and he contacted me this week to tell me that he made a refined version of his earlier Star Wars AT-ST model and a compact Snow Speeder model! 🙂

Now, for Star Wars fans like me (and really everybody that has seen the opening of the Empire Strikes Back, or that has seem some clips or a meme from it - so basically anybody that has an internet connection to be honest I think lol) knows what that means: it's a perfect pair to recreate a Hoth diorama (yes, there were AT-STs on Hoth too! 🙂), so he even made an 1:250 scale Snow Speeder on the 1:250 scale AT-ST templates for that! So thank you Masayu-i! 😃

It has been some special weeks weeks for Stahlhart Papercraft! On March 17, it was 17 years since the site went live and for their anniversary they made some new free papercraft World War 2 pilot figurines!

free papercraft One Piece "Going Merry" from 2004! ;o)

In 1999, Toei Animation released the anime series (based on the1997 manga series by Eiichiro Oda of course) about a funny pirate crew 💀 looking for the "One Piece" treasure! In 2023, Netflix released a funny live action series based on the anime, and in March 2026 (now), they released season 2! :o)

Now, the anime series is still going strong too (there are more than 1,155 episodes already in 2026, wow! 😲) and although the Netflix series probably won't last thát long, it is said there are some new fun characters to be introduced this season of course! 😉

I *loved* the anime series, so in 2004, as my seventh papercraft I made my own papercraft (hand drawn back then because I didn't know any better) of their "Going Merry" ship (because I sucked (and I still do 😉) at making my own characters form scratch to make into papercraft and there just wasn't a game of One Piece back then.... 😊).

It was a lot of fun for me to see that lots of people liked and built it themselves over the years (and took the time and effort to show me how much fun they had: https://ninjatoes.blogspot.com/2011/12/papercraft-going-merries-tribute.html)

If you like the Netflix One Piece series and want to build your own "Going Merry" too? You still can of course! 😉

Twitter ('X') that doesn't show you any of them

For about 2 years or so I think, Twitter ('X') needs you to he logged in to X to see people's timelines (like this papercraft one from me that I'm shamelessly promoting here now: @ninjatoespaper 😉).

Now, you can still just sign up for X (formerly know as Twitter) for free of course and everything just works fine again, but it's another extra treshold that random visitors to my blog here would have to do go through for just a simple hobby like papercraft (and with free things like Twitter "you are the product" then of course, and understandably not every body wants that...)

I deleted my Twitter wdget after a while because I didn't want that for them, but now I found nitter, which basically lets you find any twitter timeline with their public tweets (which my free papercraft Tweets are of course so that everybody can see them 😊) and shows them for free kinda just like Twitter did earlier!

It doesn't work on my main ninjatoes.com site (because that just has a cheap basic plan that doesn't allow iframes that nitter uses for the widget 😊) but as you can see on the left side on my free Blogspot blog here it does let you view all my tweets without you having to be logged into X again!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to finish my Majora's Mask Epona papercraft (which would basically young Epona 🐎) for the 2026 Chinese Zodiac Year of the Horse that I was planning to make (well I haven't been able to start it at all actually... 😞)

I think this year Chinese New Year's celebration will be on 17 February so it's a bit early (not as early as Pinoart though 😉) and you can see lots of other Chinese Zodiac animals from other papercrafters too! The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote came from La Mancha (and honestly he was just a fictional characters from several hundred years ago of course... 😉) but if he hád lived today and wouldn't have started fighting windmills on his first expedition, he might have visited El Bonillo, Spain on July the 3rd and 4th later this year!

Because then the Alterna Festival music festival will be held there, where music lovers can enjoy the fusion of rock, punk, metal, rap and more! For Christmas 🎄 last month (sorry that I only noticed it today 😀) they shared this fun little papercraft windmill (and a little giftbox to share it in!) for everybody that thinks it's fun to share too! 🙂

A lot of Uhu02's free science fiction papercrafts available again and Cavorite Sphere started!!

Uhu02 is a famous papercrafter (imho 😊) that created and shared a lot of awesome (mostly science fiction and fantasy papercrafts) of newer and much older movies too on their "die Eule der Minerva" website! They are usually very detailed, but dont worrry too much, because makes lots of pictures of his own build process to help you! 🙂

I think over the years Uhu02 had to deal a lot of pirates (not the fun Jack Sparrow ones, but the extremely annoying ones that steal your work... 👿) that would take his fun papercrafts without giving him credit for his work! So sometimes he would just make them "available for a limited time only" or just for his friends (which you could become by going to The Hobbyist Forum of Zealot Models to ask him for a password so that you could enter his secret library as a friend to download those special papercraft models I think?)

That meant a lot of people saw his website and all those wonderful models that he made, but a lot of them couldn't really figure out how to download them to build them themselves... 🙁

Now the last thing that I had read in 2019 on his website was that he was working on a new papercraft of the Japanese World War II battleship Yamato. I don't know what happened exactly, but in 2026 he wished everybody a "Happy New Year 2026!" while explaining that he was rebooting his papercraft website to include other hobbies like clay crafting too! 😃

So the best news that I happened to come across all 2026 (in all 11 days the year is old 😂) already, is that it seems that for a while now, Uhu02 has been working to fix all the old download links on his website, and it seems you can just download all of his papercrafts now, but more importantly: he's back with a new papercraft already of the Cavorite Sphere from H.G Well's science fiction novel The First Men in the Moon, starting off with lots of research like he always does (so you know it's gonna be awesome again)!

So yes; very Happy New Year 2026 Uhu02! 🥳

During the Christmas season, Coca Cola has Christmas commercials with their famous Coca Cola Christmas truck and their polar bears, in the Low Countries too. 🎅

In this Kartonbau.de forum post the papercraft creator talks about Coca Cola having a promotional tour with the Coca Cola Christmas truck where they would give you a free papercraft of it if you came to their stands in 2009! 😀

In 2012 you could also read about Robert Nava's papercraft Coca Cola polar bears that you could download from a Dollar General campaign during 2012 on Paperkraft.net (gone now unfortunately, but you can apparently still download it from the official Dollar General page using the Wayback Machine under the first "DOWNLOAD PDF" button on the right side of this archived page if you're patient just a bit while it redirects you to the PDF file 🙂)

I think you can't get these ones officially anymore of course after all these years, but lots of people made these iconic trucks and polar bears into papercraft themselves too! You might still find those or maybe you'd like to make this free general papercraft polar bear from Peramodel into a Coca Cola one yourself too? 👍

I know that Gunnar from Bildrum likes to shared a fun free papercraft Christmas gift 🎄 on their hobby site for years already now!

I actually usually tell you about it if I don't forget, but last year I did forget I guess... Which is a real shame for my Dutch heart, because last year they shared a free papercraft windmill! (even though it isn't exactly from the Netherlands but from the island of Gotland in Sweden and it is of a Dutch type as he explained on the download page 😉)
