The Traveling Block

A few months ago I came up with an idea to make The Traveling Block. It is a globally shared social sculpture that is passed on or left somewhere for a new traveler to find. Each recipient adds story about the journey to The Travling Block blog.

The block started in Laguna Beach, CA, and within one week it moved 4,000 miles across the world to Romania. I just received an update from its current owner who has taken the block, via bike, to Bulgaria. I have no idea where it will be next but if you would like to follow the journey, please visit The Traveling Block blog for updates.

Starting February 5th I will be exhibiting 3 pieces in a group exhibition at Norbertellen Gallery. It's part of the Downtown LA Art Walk so put on your sandals come check it out!

Sale page being re-vamped

after being up for a short time, the Sale page has been temporarily taken down to be re-worked and tweaked pending input from better versed folk. I left the 3D preview of Butcher's Broom up just to tease your knickers off. In the mean time if you have any sale inquiries shoot me a message.

The site theme has also been changed from depressing bark texture to crazy guacamolita rainbow supreme sauce - which is also a preview of an upcoming piece called Into the Supermassive

First photographic lenticular

After a couple weeks of failed attempts, I've finally made a photographic lenticular that i'm proud of. The final result is "Butcher's Broom" - check out the 3D preview in the sale section. Orchids are cooler than roses, plus they don't stink.

I will be submitting two pieces - Salty Smile and 3 Pound Portable House, to the annual non-juried exibition at the Huntington Beach Art Center. It is always a great event to check out, there will be hundreds of works from all kinds of artists so go there and bring your eye balls.
