Warren Adventures was created by the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry (WCCBI) as part of a tourism effort to improve the collaboration, communication and marketing of events and activities happening within Warren County. Mercyhurst Corry has been educating students in Business Administration for more than 25 years. Located in Corry Pennsylvania, the college offers an associates degree program in Business Administration. Mercyhurst North East, founded in 1991, sits on the shores of Lake Erie in the heart of the largest Concord grape-growing region of the world. The college offers 28 academic programs, including 21 associates degrees, and seven certificates. Three hundred students live on-campus, while nearly 1,000 students are enrolled at the college. With a keen eye for detail, the owners of WeissEarley wanted to roll-out an informational Web site that succinctly portrayed the quality of its landscape services. Having designed over 200 Web sites, newline Creations brought the desired experience to deliver on that expectation.

Together with the owners of WeissEarley, newline Creations designed and developed an informational Web site for WeissEarley that provides prospective customers with a comprehensive overview of its landscape design, construction, and maintenance services. The Web site shines a light on the organization’s Organic Alternative, which aims to decrease or eliminate the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides in lawn care. "The new Web site provides the prospective customer with the necessary information to make an informed decision," explains Matt Angerer, consultant, newline Creations. "The owners of WeissEarley articulated the vision for the Web site while we [newline Creations] offered up suggestions to make use of valuable information and provide actionable information upfront," adds Angerer.

One example of of this would be the oversized buttons on the left-hand side of the Web site with the Organic Alternative button contrasting the others in terms of color. "Based on industry research coupled with the constant media attention around eco-friendly organizations, we recommended to WeissEarley that they provide us with more information to support its Organic Alternative," explains Angerer. Known as a 'Call to Action' in Web design lingo, the top-level positioning of the Organic Alternative button on the main page was no accident. "Everybody from retailers to landscape design contractors are 'going green' from what I've noticed. In fact, according to recent research, people are more inclined to do business with eco-friendly companies and we tried to work this fact into the design concept for WeissEarley," concludes Angerer.

However, Goldstein wanted to ensure that its commitment to customer service transcended the brick and mortar of its showroom. It sought the expertise of newline Creations to maintain customer loyalty while providing an equally enjoyable experience via its Web site.

"The new Web site provides the viewer with more useful and actionable information upfront," explains Owen Roth, project manager, newline Creations. "One example of this would be the prominent buttons found under the 'Plan. Purchase. Impress' tagline that the newline Creations team crafted," adds Roth. "All of this is built into the Web site template, and can be accessed from any page," explains Roth.

As an added feature, newline Creations ensured that Goldsteins is ahead of the technology curve by setting it up with a Viddler.com account to swap out streaming promotional videos on the Web site. "Viddler makes it easy to upload and store video files," adds Roth. "The videos automatically convert to flash format -- keeping the file type and size consistent," explains Roth.

What's more is that the newly designed Web site includes a section for current promotions, ensuring that potential customers are kept abreast. A promotional section on any Web site helps drives traffic into the store in addition to enticing customers to purchase online. In order to drive traffic to the stores, however, its also important to provide the customers with a visual map to quickly locate the many locations. newline Creations implemented an add-on that allows customers to quickly and easily identify the nearest store location.

Mercyhurst Student Government (MSG) is the voice of the student body to the administration and faculty of Mercyhurst College. Three years ago, MSG unveiled its first Web site. Its purpose was nothing more than to create better awareness of the organization. "Our previous Web site was a place on the Internet that you would visit once, quickly inform yourself, and never come back," notes Mihailo "Mixa" Jovanovic, public relations coordinator, Mercyhurst Student Government. "We wanted to change that! With the technical support of newline Creations, the freshly re-designed Web site of the MSG will become the ultimate source of information for 'Hurst students -- in addition to faculty and administrators," explains Jovanovic.

MSG sought the expertise of newline Creations to deliver on Mihailo "Mixa" Jovanovic's vision for an improved Web site.
