I loved the comments quite a bit. I firmly believe that CA is better than MBA. For one thing I don't see any unemployed CA's but you do see quite a few unemployed MBA's. I am neither an MBA nor a CA but I came onto the blog to make a decision as to what I should do and I am definitely leaning towards CA. One thing is for certain don't waste your time doing CMA, I just recently completed my CMA. I did my CMA right after my undergraduate i figure having a CMA would boost my job opportunities but having the designation without any accouning experience is good as having no designation. Btw does anyone k ow how to go about doing a CA after completing CMA.

The current CPA program diagram incorporates PA1 and PA2 from the CGA and the Board Report and perhaps the underrated Case Exam from the CMA, while having a more flexible final exam at the end.

I think the real beef that UFE proponents have with regards to CGA's exams, despite having way more technical problem solving and short case questions, is that, even with the AP1 exam in Ontario for public accounting, there's no equivalent to the "comprehensive."

Nah, The Two Towers would have been a better reference. Your pro-merger leadership also mentioned the ACCA, and they've got bigger numbers than three CP Rail accountants who paved the way long ago to form a national designation of which this blog reader is but a recent graduate.
@nishant, i know im a lil late, but i swear, CA is a better option. please dont waste your time in any graduation courses.
lets take a neutral look at things, from a student perspective.
CA --->
12th, cpt - 17/18years of age
CA-ipcc - 18/19
CA-final - 21/22
so, ul be a CA by the time you are 21/22
keeping in mind, you're not good at math, ok, lets consider you're not very good at ANY of the subjects, you still have an ASSET. you're young. you have all the time on earth to learn! bachelors and CA together \m/
and btw, you can easily do MBA once you're done with CA ;)
not that u'l lose much. ryt?

I agree wholeheartedly. I guess the main problem with this is people don't like to believe they'll make mistakes. I've read many times (definitely once in the book Influence) that doctors are extremely resistant to the checklist. They take it as in insult to have their work checked over. It's such a shame since such a simple change could have a major impact on healthcare treatment.
