After the acclaim of his 2011 debut album - GLAQJO XAACSSO - we’re very excited to say patten will play his first audiovisual show on Thursday 19th January at CAMP Basement in Old St, London (Facebook event/£5 advance tickets). The album is now available on CD for the first time and limited UK indie shop and NPIP webstore orders will receive EDITS, a full length work “extending, shifting and re-imagining elements from the album” in the London producer’s idiosyncratic style. Our fourth Nail the Cross festival is Friday and Saturday this week at the Shacklewell Arms in Dalston, East London. Alongside the above line up - featuring Nite Jewel, Pariah, Echo Lake, Sex Worker, Doldrums, patten and more - we’ve a special secret guest and a video installation courtesy of Take Courage gallery. Tickets are available in advance or at the door on either evening. For a taste of the weekend’s vibe, Not Not Fun’s Holy Strays, performing on the second day of the event, has contributed a mix and, beneath that, we’ve had a go ourselves.

We’re happy to say over £1100 has been raised for the Red Cross to date from the Forest Swords’ ‘Fjree Feather’ EP. We made our first donation today - proofs - but hope to add to this figure with the few final copies of the 12” and download release of the EP still available through our online store.

To say thanks to all those who supported the release we’ve a remix of ‘Bones’ by Sheffield producer Ghost Hunter available for free download.

Patten released his debut album - GLAQJO XAACSSO - last week to significant praise from FACT (“tremendous”), Boomkat (“among the albums of the year”), Bleep.com (track of the week), the Quietus (“excellent”), The Wire and Pitchfork.

Today sees the release of JLAGQO CSOAAXS, a remix EP by artists including Sculpture, C Powers and The Slow Revolt. Patten’s methodology for the project?
