If the problem still persists then visit the Nokia Care Center for a flash, this should solve the issue. But if the problem does carry on, then only change the SIM card.

With personal experience, it isn’t recommended that you perform the flash by yourself no matter how good you are, for safety purposes – it would be better if you do let the software technician do the flash for you.

An experienced Nokia N8 user said that the Nokia N8 devices do get less tolerant of the old SIM Card.

After the video was put together, the makers were supposed to submit it to the Nedbank Savvy Competition, which they received the prize of the trip. Humewood Beach in Port Elizabeth in South Africa was used to produce this winning piece with Amalie Pistorius as the main character.

Gieseke has been using the Nokia N8 for a while, thus it was easy to choose the camera for this competition; he has also used it for previous projects.

The Nokia Store does provide web browser for users to use, but in this fact : you do need the default web browser, now of course you can’t reinstall the web browser so the best option would be for a reset but the users that have reported this issue have mentioned that this does not work.

It seems that the web browser is the root of the issues, judged on the base of : when the Nokia Social Service app requires the web browser, the web browser gives the message “System error”; indicating that this purely the system software at fault, read below of the answer to this problem.

You do have an option of waiting till Symbian Belle is released at the expected date of 8th February or you could also re-install the firmware, it is recommended to perform a back up manually than a back up using an app; copy all your files to your pc, then restore after the successful re-installation of the firmware.

There may be another problem which surrounds the email settings, perhaps when the user was setting the desired configurations – a mistake may have happened. If the cause may be that the email notifications are making a noise then have a look at the Sync frequency, set it to manual to eliminate the problem.

Or you could have a look at the profile settings of all the profiles rather than just one, just to be sure of any misconfiguration. Depending on the noise, the options may vary. Proceed to the main menu, settings, profiles, check all the profiles or the desired profiles.

Some of the features include more home screens, from the current 3 with Anna to 6 with Belle. Although some Belle devices at this moment are equipped with NFC, it doesn’t mean that if you have Belle on your device that you will also have NFC because, NFC works with a built-in component and a type of application.

The icons are also round and look more lively, you can also switch off your Nokia N8 with a click of the icon. One of the screenshots of the software shows that the Nokia Browser shall be integrated but since the software may still be under improvements, we can’t be certain that it will be included.

Other issues are that when a user types anything, it is slower this time but the navigation of browsing through app is faster. New consumers are allowed to download up to 10 free applications without the need of a Nokia account. The users that had issues with downloading apps with the previous version of the store, that issue seems no longer present.

When the update was still present in the Nokia Beta Labs, many bugs were reported but the developers have eliminated the bugs besides the sign in issue and the slowness of the typing.

The unofficial specs of the Nokia 803 on Phonearena show that the device may have a larger sensor than the Nokia N8‘s 12 megapixel. Pocketnow mentions in a article that the sensor may be 1/1.83 inches bigger while PDAdb, a specs database shows that the 803 shall have 13.2 megapixels.

Early 2012 brings the expectancy of the Nokia 900 which shows that the device told by the source may not be it. Nokia CEO always mentions that the intelligence of Nokia Labs is shown by the Nokia N8.

Nonetheless, none of the specs are confirmed. With more and more appearing on the web, it is confusing in what to believe. Sources also sometimes can’t be trusted, follow us for more on the Nokia N8!

Please note that you do need Phoenix installed on your computer. Please do download all Belle files below and store them on your desktop, in a folder.

Make sure that all Anna files are under C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products. Open Phoenix, click on file, open product, choose the firmware, don’t forget to choose the product code!

The “dead flash USB mode” must be positive, click on options and replace the Anna files with the Belle files you have downloaded. NB: You should then only have 4 files, if there are any other files then please delete them.

Pocketnow has mentioned that through a user-manual that they received claims to be the Nokia 803 Symbian-Belle, the possible Nokia N8 successor but users have mentioned that this seems more of the Nokia 5800 replacement or another version of it with more advantages. There weren’t any specs or features that were revealed with the documents.

After looking at the picture of the successor myself, my attention immediately turned to the Nokia N8 due to the reason that both devices have the camera a little elevated. The manual is not the final document but Pocketnow also mentions a possible DLNA , NFC and HDMI combination to be present on the Nokia 803.

The Nokia N8 camera lens may be beaten by the 803′s and it shall include optical zoom. There has been no information found through the FCC even though, by knowing the rumored model number (RM-807)

The smartphone may also be equipped with 3.5-inch WVGA ClearBlack display with Gorilla Glass, and 512MB of RAM as well as a single core 1GHz processor.

We can for sure say that the lock/unlock button on the Nokia N8, the Nokia 803 also has.

The Lumia may have what it takes to seduce some people who were thinking of switching to Windows Phone, as it is without a doubt the best looking smartphone currently running the Microsoft mobile OS, but does it have what it takes to win over people who have grown to love their N8?

One of the biggest attractions for the N8 was its stunning 12 megapixel camera. This camera is so great that it has been used for filming entire movies as well as the largest stop motion animation ever made. So what about the camera on the Lumia 800?

The Lumia ‘only’ has an 8 megapixel camera, although this is still in keeping with industry norms. Megapixel count is not everything when it comes to cameras, and the Lumia has advantages over other 8 megapixel smartphone cameras thanks to the inclusion of Nokia’s award winning Carl Zeiss optics.

Due to the slim design of the Lumia the camera has a smaller photo sensor, meaning that it is not quite as detailed as the N8, but still well within keeping of the iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S2. The same size restrictions mean that the Lumia has been released with an LED flash rather than the Xenon flash of the N8.

The Lumia’s camera does offer greater colour saturation which, while not quite as natural as the N8′s, does leave the N8′s camera feeling a little washed out. The N8 provides better colour in poor lighting conditions however, even when the flash is disabled. It seems that the Lumia’s camera does offer better colours in most conditions, although it is not quite as sharp as the N8′s.

While the camera is a much loved feature of the N8, neither the N8 nor the Lumia 800 are cameras. They are smartphones, and they have a lot more to them than just photography. While the N8 may have a superior camera, the Lumia 800 shines in other areas.

Windows Phone is smoother and more modern than Symbian, and much better suited to a touchscreen environment. While the Lumia still incorporates some of Nokia’s best features, like Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive, it also benefits from Zune, Xbox LIVE and Windows Marketplace. Marketplace is currently the smallest smartphone app store, but it is growing at a rapid pace. Apps on Windows Marketplace are also highly useful, unlike the majority of content on Android Market and the Apple App Store.

Then there is the look and feel. The Lumia is a much more attractive device than the N8, which now looks clunky and antiquated. The Lumia 800 is not just the best looking Nokia phone, it is also the best looking Windows Phone available.

While the N8 is still a great phone, and still well loved by many people, its aesthetics, outdated OS and other problems suggest that it needs to move over and make way for the new breed of Nokia phone deals like the Lumia.
