Disclaimer: The part 3 of this movie never came out, but it is a must watch, and i promise you, you will not be disappointed. After all, you can predict the ending after the final scene.

First of all, I would like to say..I am NollywoodRave and i survived this movie. I mean no matter how many movies i watch to change my opinion of Artus Frank, he fails every time. I therefor boycott his movies from my life. As excited as i was to see the return of Ebube, the girl fall hand sha. I was disappointed in her pick for the movie, i believe that she should take more risk and challenge herself. This movie was a poor excuse and should not even call it a movie..we should call it a home video. They had the idea but they did not know how to develop it. It felt rushed and it didn't flow. They were scenes that interrupted continuous scenes. For example, Artus and Ebube could be talking then the next scene would be the next day, followed by the last scene of Artus and Ebube talking.

Breaking it Down:
Ebube Nwagbo:
I did not like her in this movie. There were some parts she couldn't capture, and others she over did. This is not the same actress i know, or maybe the movie was not enough challenge to her but i was not happy with her performance. 2/5 Stars

Artus Frank:
Sigh. Groan. Ughhh. I am done.
He is either so stiff or over acting the hell out of his life. Every time i iterate my dislike for Artus, there is always someone ready to defend him and to tell me that he is actually a great actor. But i am yet to see it and until then, he remains a poor actor in my point of view. 1/5 Star

Happy A. Uchendu:
Every time she graced my screen, i asked myself a very important question. Who Hired her?

Lucy Ameh stars as Matilda, the housemaid, in this movie. She was the highlight of the entire movie, and that goes a long way since she was not even a major character.

Visual/ Audio/ Casting:
The movie looked like something filmed on a personal camera. Not even a camcorder. A camera.
I had to strain to hear what they were saying and the casting was a poor choice.

Romance:
The romance was not developed. There was no connection between the supposed lovers. The plot overpowered the main theme of the whole story.

Comedy:
I cringed in pain. I laughed at mistakes but i definitely did not laugh in joy.

NR Says:
SPOILER ALERT
- When then uncles plan to kill him, there's one that doesn't support them, yet he attends all their meeting and plots to kill the boy. And i'm here thinking to myself, First, why the hell did he not warn Artus? or why didn't the other uncles kill him?

"What did Jeff saw in her that he did not saw in me."

Memorable Scene:
When Artus attempts to chase Ebube, he quickly writes her a note in his vehicle. Keyword QUICKLY. As in not even a minute to write the note. But when Ebube reads it, it is this long essay. I just Wonder, How did he write all of that in that minute?

Goofs!
A scene was out of order: Ebube sends the food, next day goes by, then the scene continues and they eat.

NR Says:
-Nollywood editors need to pay more attention to actors names and how they spell it.
- The Bad boys of nowadays kill me, they just look like hungry, shriveled up, jobless graduates. Remember when it used to be Gentle Jack? Don Capone? Jim Iyke?

Would I recommend it?
No. Not at all. It felt like one of those daytime shows-drawn out, over dramatic, and pointless. Don't watch to pass time. Don't Watch for Eye Candy. Just look, pass am by.

I was extremely disappointed at the way they portrayed such a sad, touching, controversial Issue that caused an uproar in Nigeria. I expected something better from Nollywood. The movie was supposed to the touching, inspire Nigeria to stand up against Injustice. Instead it was more of a mockery of their story and the challenges. I did not like it one bit. I mean did they involve their families to accurately portray their lives? Did they do enough research? Or did they just go off what the media reported and pure speculation. There are lines and this movie crosses them all. It just showcases how far Nollywood has yet to come.

Breaking it Down!

Chiwetalu Agu:

I miss his traditional movies, and of course his catch phrases. Which i would write but i'd probably just butcher it. It was nice seeing him in a sort of traditional role again. 3.5/5 stars

Paul Sambo, Johnpaul Nwadike, Zubby Michael, Junior Omoigberale:

Their potrayal were not exactly on point, but they can act (except for the rapping parts). Their last few scenes were just unbelievable. I was speechless. With a few extra lesson on their acting though, they should be among the next generation of Nollywood actors 3/5 Stars

Ruth Kadiri:

Nice acting. Towards the end i just felt pity for her character. Kudos to her and her constant improvement. 3/5 stars

Angela Okorie was her regular crazy, hyper, man obsessed self, while Onyii Alex irritated me with her constant moaning.

Audio/Visual/Casting:

-The Audio was nice, Very clear. The sounds of the beatings took away from it but the brutality was something serious. Reminded me so much of the real video.

-The Visual was also nice and clear.

-The casting could have been better. As a true story, a well known cast could have brought the needed audience for this movie. However, i still liked it because i could see resemblance between the boys.

Drama:

The movie centralizes on the true life story of #Aluu4 (I will post a link to the real story below.) But it was the violent vigilante murder of four boys who were accused of stealing (with no evidence). A video surfaced showing the killing that absolutely shattered anyone's heart who watched it. It just reminded me of how wicked humans are. Even typing this is emotional. Anyways, I don't feel that the movie caught their lives at all. Yes there was drama, but i think it was more around the atrocities in the village than it was their life.

Memorable Quotes:

"So are you telling me that as we speak this guy is at your crip?"

*you mean Crib?

"Who is my wife. I married her, she is Under me."

* Na so? Ahhh Naija man mentality.

Memorable Scene:
The kidnapping scene when she finds out who kidnaps her and all of a sudden she turns from being scared to challenging them.

Goofs:
-During their singing contest. I mean you could clearly tell that they were lip singing. ( i know my husband's voice anytime i hear it..btw it was psquare). Anyway the judges were there scoring and approving the singing. And there were moments when they would stop moving their lips and the song would continue..As in ehhh.
- Chidi asks Mikel how is Serena? I thought Serena liked Ugwunna? How did they get involved? What?
-The boys walked about with beats earphones through the movie, Just because you are a musician does not mean that you walk around with earphones

NR Says:
-After part 1 i was like, WTH is going on?
-Their Rapping Sucks. Hands down! Horrible. Goodness gracious. I did not understand why? The movie is scripted. So why couldn't they write them better raps? Or the boys practice better?
-Even though the story did not capture the Aluu boys much, it did bring about some touching Issues like Jungle Justice. I almost cried during the Nate scene because it just reminded me of how many innocent people have died from being wrongly accused of a crime in Nigeria. I mean you could be walking on the streets and all of a sudden find yourself convicted of a crime and condemned to death.
-The brutality of the beating scene...if you watched the real video, it will be a reminder and you might cry.

Would i Recommend it?

I went into this with high expectations of being inspired. I went it knowing i would cry but it was a bit disappointing. I think the movie was more generalized than it was of pinpointing the lives of the Aluu boys. Also, i feel although the writers intentions might have been to tell their story, it was also to sell movies than to keep their legacy going.The movie should have been only one part.

I would recommend watching the last part of the movie just to further the cause of their story . Which is Aluu 3 and 4 or End of Aluu 1&2. But skip the first two parts. I only recommend those parts because that's the touching part. I did tear up towards the end (just a little..from the corner of my eye, if i turn my head water for drip). lol. But seriously, as a whole movie it did poorly, and all they did was to act out the video scene. It was like random, then they hit you with one last sensitive scene in the last 20 minutes of the four and a half hour movie. Any one can reenact a scene, but it takes true talent to capture the whole story.

A spectacular cast comes together to put a not so spectacular performance. From the day I saw the trailer- an RAA production starring Genevieve and Ramsey- (how long have we nollywoodanians been waiting for this combo?) my whole spirit was ecstatic and was rooting for the movie, but the movie fell beyond expectations. How can a movie with such a cast go so wrong? I'm still of many that believes that that believes Genevieve can do no wrong in any movie so I will lay the blame at Desmond's feet. Emem Isong is taking a massive chance with Desmond and he's letting her down big time. The movie is Okay, but with a cast like that, you naturally expect more. I feel Emem Isong should have went with a more exposed or acclaimed director in order to bring this movie to its full potential.

Breaking it down:
Genevieve Nnaji:
From an international star back to a local one, her part was nothing spectacular. Her role kept me confused to the very end. She had Zero chemistry with Uti and it was very transparent. At this stage of her career, she should only accept challenging roles not waka pass. 3/5 stars

Monalisa Chinda:
I'm not a fan but she did well with the role, Her portrayal of the sugar mummy was quite well but as usual less action and more tal mixed in with overacting but yet surprisingly enjoyable. 3.5/5 stars

Uti Nwachukwu:
one word:-dramati. It seems like he does all the acting in his head before actually acting, zero chemistry with genevieve and I am guessing that he was either a cop or a detective,. (Yes, I was that confused!). He really needs to step up 2/5 stars

Alexx Ekubo:
Suprisingly, I enjoyed him in the movie, played his role well and reminded the audience to laugh. 3.5/5

Ime Bishop umoh:
He was best actor in the movie by a stretch and considering the fact that he's a waka pass, that kind of summarizes the movie. He made me laugh and added some energy to an otherwise drab affair 4/5 stars

Bobby Obodo, Uru Eke, beverly naya, ini Edo, bryan okwara did all that was asked of them, nothing spectacular.

Audio: 5/5 Visual: 4/5 Casting: hmmmm, I've said it all

Drama: I was expecting a very tight cohesive story with different characters that would eventually connect, but it was a fluid drab story. The movie failed to climax and it is definitely not one of those movies where you applaud at the end. But, if u love pretty faces and clothes, you would surely not mind.

With the amount of money I'm paying u, when I ask u to jump, u should be asking me how high.

Would i Recommend it?
I would. Even though it falls short, it is great for eye candy. As long as you go in with little expectations, you'll come out happy.

Is Nollywood running out of titles or just lacking creativity?
As in ehhh, the ridiculousness don pass.

Today a follower tweeted me asking me when room 027 is coming out and i just died of laughter.
We take One step forward and two step back everyday. It's movies like these that constantly build the fear of Nollywood movies...but at least in all our cringing we can laugh about it.

What started it all:

Yesterday while i was searching for a movie to watch i ran across this movie titled, Tears for Breast Milk.

Isaiah washington (greys anatomy) and our own genny in one movie was enough to drive me bonkers. You re only international when you starr alongside internationals and I'm proud to say nollywood is going international. Breaking down: Actor: Genevieve nnaji: in as much she was casted alongside other internationals, I must confess that genny did no extraodinary thing. This role was not challenging but it did her reputation no harm. Was simple, made no error and delivered as we all expect her to. I give her 3 out of 5 stars Isaiah washington: could say this was his first movie of note since after Grey's anatomy, carried d role well and was a suitable lead actor. 3 out of 5 stars Jimmy Jean Louis: Dr bello himself, nothing exceptional too, played d role to the full andd did wat was expected of him. 2.8 outta 5 Apart from these 3 actors above, it could be safe to put the rest in the 'waka pass' roles and as usual, there was over acting.

Cast:
while it was good to see the combination of our hot nollywood stars with the not so hot holly wood stars, I feel the casting director should have reduced the amount of 9ja stars in the movie. Apart from genevieve, most of them just had a waka pass role... And next time I would like to see a cast of brad pitt and genny (if wishes were horses)

Drama:
this story is about a cure for cancer and the search for it, initially it looked that way till towards the end, it became a search for inner healing 'peace'...towards the climax, the story goes terribly wrong, it just seemed like everyone stopped acting and the quest to keep us spell bound was not achieved
Comedy:
the taxi driver was funny and charles inojie reminded us to laugh during the course of the movie
Romance:
well I was expecting something between genny and isaiah at it came at d very end, a kiss and dat was it, dunno if dats romantic sha

Memorable scene: Where genevieve asks the taxi driver to focus on the road and he refuses, he then hits the orange hawker and flees

Would I recommend it: yes I would, its an ok movie if you can remove all the hype from ur mind and look above the star studded cast. Bar the dismal end, its a nice movie

Although the trailer was never released, I favor Uche Jombo's storylines. I am, or at least so far, never disappointed. The movie is about an hour and a half long, probably a little longer, but it felt so much shorter. The story line was simple, different, and it explores a very important aspect in our culture.

If you have ever watched the movie, WIDOW, with Stella Damasus and RMD, the representation of the traditional treatment of widows in that movie was to the T and a real eye opener. This movie explores that aspect but not to the gruesome extent as that movie did. A mother's fight swept through the tradition: a widow having to drink her husband's dead body water after its been cleaned or having to sleep with his dead body to prove her innocence, but we did feel the pain and struggle Uche was going through in the movie.

The most aspect portrayed was the taking away of her husband's property after false accusation of poisoning him. Even if the autopsy report shows the man died from a heart attack or accident, his family will blame the woman for "poisoning their son" and take away his property for punishment, when in fact it's out of greed. But i truly enjoyed the realistic film and the way it was done without the need of romance.

Bobby Obodo:

Okay when i saw his name in the opening credits, my original thought was "chai! my fine bobo is back", only to realize that he was the husband. Disappointment toh badt ooooo. Uche no fit give me the eye candy make i enjoy small? He had few minor scenes but the guy will become a force to reckon with. His acting was 3 stars of 5.

Uche Jombo:

If you frequent this blog, you already know how i feel about this lady. Love her acting skills. She's too much but there's always room for improvement. Her acting was 4 solid stars.

Audio/Visual/Casting:

The Visual was clear [4 of 5 stars], the audio pretty constant; not the typical fade in and out.[3 of 5 stars] and the casting was on point.

Drama:

It was centered around Uche's life after her husband dies and the struggles she has to face. How friends and family can turn their backs in the blink of an eye. How strong a mother's love can truly be.

Memorable Quote:

"Hey hey hey...i'll bring it to you. Enjoy the rays of the sun small."

"What if they attack you." "ah ah i'm a lagos babe"

Goofs:

Bobby is late for work so Uche says "i made you a sandwich" and hands him a rice cooler.

Just thought it was an lol moment.

Would I recommend it?

I most definitely would.

The plot was touching although not as fully developed as i expected because 37 minutes into the movie, i noted that it hadn't really progressed in dealing with the tradition, at least as i expected. It was more light-hearted than a full blown movie on the unfair treatment on widows. To me the movie is only one genre, although i did expect a little bit of romance, the option to keep it out just made the film more unique. It included a bit of comedy (which made the movie light-hearted) and a bit of flashback romance.

My View: I Cannot Wait to see this movie. I love love love the trailer. It seems like such a simple, cute plot. I mean who doesn't love a romantic comedy? I tend to drift towards romance that happens in the process of revenge (if you understand what i mean) than just straight forward romance. And my bonus: Fresh Faces. I hope it meets the high pedestal i just placed it on. Seems like my ideal 2013 movie. Whoop! Go Nollywood!

When the movie trailer was first released, i was over ecstatic to see it. Finally, a new plot and storyline different from the royal madness, new faces, and most of all my future husbands, O.C and Okey. The movie was a nice one, but it did not uphold the expectations i had for it. Then were amateur acting moments worth cringing, but the over all simplicity of the storyline held the movie together.

Breaking it Down!

Actors:

Kiera Hewatch: She reminds me of a mixture of Ini Edo and Mercy Johnson, anyway, she has talent. Still raw here and there but at least she could actually act. With a few more experiences, she will make a big name for herself. Her performance was 3 stars worthy.

Chelsea Eze: Her appearance has never really blown my mind. She is just there to me, although i see alot of room for improvement. She has the passion and talent to pull through. Her acting was 2 stars.

OkeyUzoeshi : I am assuming his role was to be awkward. Very awkward at scenes but it all felt as if it was part of his character. I enjoyed his acting, but still i see work ahead of him in order to improve his perfomance so that the audience could be blown away. His performance was 3.5 stars.

Audio/Visual/Casting/:

The audio was clear, but in some scenes the movement of the actors affected the frequency of the microphone on them. The visual was bright and clear, and the cast was a breathe of fresh air. Overall 3.5 Stars.

Wardrope:

The wedding scenery and the bridal/groom train was just gorgeous. They actually put together a set rather than using a church. Kudos to Blessing and her Costume crew.

Comedy:

Blessing and Kalu's character reminded me alot of Tasha and Micheal's characters in Tyler Perry's Why did i get married. They were the comedic factor in the movie. It was not as funny as i expected, but there was sporadic laughter here and there.

Drama:

The movie is more of a romantic drama that a romantic comedy, which it is supposed to be. Stella's character spins the drama and keeps that genre going through out the movie. I wish that the problems of the other couples were developed, especially the character of Chelsea and Okey, it would have added a lot more to the movie.

Would i Recommend it?
Yes, i would. It is a good watch. The story line is new and so short, sweet, and simple. Although the acting is not spectacular, it is great and a clean fun watch. It is nice to see new faces take the lead role, and a director who is good at his job. This movie is perfect for a lazy day with family or friends.

Uche Jombo nor dey fall hand. At all. At all. I loved every bit of it. Not a moment was i bored. It was one of those movies, that you don't have to think too. Not extraordinary like Sinking Sands or too disastrous as Speechless. Just the perfect movie for a cold day with friends and some junk food. Not only is this movie amazing, i met my amazing bobo, Bobby Obodo (fasheee D'banj and Psquare). Na bobby be my Numba 1. *clears throat* Anyways on to the review.

Actors:
Uche Jombo:
Uche's talent is just progressing as nollywood grows and i am loving every bit of it. After hearing so many praises for her on twitter. I just had to check it out for myself. And i must say, Kudos to her. She was spectacular. I give her 4 of 5 stars.
Yemi Blaq:
Yemi was just there in the movie. The yelling, screaming, angry man he always is. I give him a 2.3 of 5 stars.
Bobby Obodo:
*sigh* Okay, when i first met him (in the movie, of course) My exact thoughts were "Hian! Who brought this guy?" Because he had the ugly Americana accent thing going on. But as the movie progresses, the accent faded, and the real actor in him was developing. I found myself waiting for his scene, he seemed so natural. I liked it. I give him 3 of 5 stars.

Audio:
The Audio kept fading in and out. This is one common problem i notice in RAA movies.
Visual:
I found it a bit blurry in some scene, and felt it could have been a whole lot better.
Casting:
Kudos to the casting director! Whoop!

Comedy:
I laughed and laughed and laughed. Uche's spiritual episodes over marriage was just too much. I literally cried from too much laughing. Best movie to uplift the soul
Drama:
The drama involves some cheating, and i would say the climax of the whole film. It connects the movie, so don't freak out yet over the different characters.
Romance:
Awww is what you would say. Bobby and Uche had one of the best on screen romance, that even i was convinced. The way they clicked, and gradually progressed into a relationship was realistic.

Memorable Quotes:
"Spirit of singleness i command you to die *flogs*. Spirit of loneliness i command you die. Eh Eh Spirit of late marriage. I command you, die. Die, Die, Die."
Memorable Scene:
When Uche and Bobby were dancing in the living room scene. I fell in love with bobby. See the man go. It put a smile on these cheeks. Highlight of the movie.

Would i recommend it?
Of course! It was a dramatic, comedic- romance. Amazing for a lazy day. And to top it all off. The Ending Was Just Perfect.

This movie was everything i want in a Nollywood film. it included Romance, comedy, drama, and most of all tradition portrayed in the right way. For Example, in the recent Nigerian movies, the "royal kingdom" seems to the set in a city. This films pans around where love can take a couple. When i began this movie, it was with the family so i prayed that they would keep it clean. It is a decent portrayal of love at its best, hilarious friendship, and an old man who can't seem to get over himself. very and truly enjoyable especially if you are entertaining Nigerian Guests. The kind a family can come together and watch. The kind that gets a female wondering if her man is just like that. men watch out...you just might receive a series of questioning.I loved the way they captured real tradition back then and applied in in 2005, including the dressing. Go grab your copies!

Actors:

Muna Obiekwe:

As the year progresses, he seems to make the poorest movie choices ranging from soft porn to a gay sex role. So it was nice to see a movie with his head screw on right. After acting movies like Eyes of the God, Eagle's bride, The Wrong One, Clash of Destiny, He lives in Me i wonder why the bad choices. Is the Industry really that Bad? It was nice to see My Muna back, i give him 4 of 5 stars.

Nkiru Sylvanus:

Mu cry cry babe na. It was nice to see her, of course back crying and suffering- nothing out of the ordinary. I give her a 3.8 out of 5

Chiwetalu Agu:

Chiwetalu's character throughout this movie was just horny. Going aroung chasing females the same age as his daughter, very disgusting. But he played his role to the T. i give him a 4.5 of 5

Audio:

The audio was very loud, felt like i was in a theater.

Visual:

The visual was great but it also makes me realize how far we have come in visual. See computer generated skeleton. LOL. My nollywood! At the end of Part 1 was the part 2 Preview...those days of "This is just the Beginning" and previews that had no end. Gotta love it

Costume/ Make-up:

Loved it, very realistic. The commoners were wearing cheap cloth, not the recent nonsense in royal movies that the poor maiden will the wearing expensive looking ankara. For wia!?

They actually died Azuka's hair to represent the change in time...Someone say legit?

Kudos to Harrieth Orisakwe (Make-up) and Lizzy Ogbodo (costumier).

Casting:

The casting for the movie was a positive on their end, It really brought life to the story line.

Comedy:

This movie had some comedic moment, especially with Amobi's friend, chima, and his love life.

Romance:

Romance takes up more than 70% of the movie genre. It revolved aroung Amobi's and Oluchi's romance, but in the background there's also relationships with minor characters. It was very realistic like the way Amobi's face would light up whenever he saw Oluchi, or the exchange of sacrifice. Me ehhh i no dey play with life.

Traditional:

This movie contains traditions that are long forgotten, the time befor the "onye ocha" came and banished it all. For example, the massive punishments for minimal crime. Do you know how many of us would have been put to death due to sex before marriage? This was tradition at its best.

Drama:

The drama was a huge one with unpredictable twists and turns. It revolves around greed and how far a man would go for his own selfish ambition, even ruining the lives of anyone that crosses his path.

"Think about my proposal, i'll come back to pick her up as a wife." - Okosisi

"Chinelo, why haven't you told me that you husband is suffering from insanity, or are you not aware of the fact that he is mad?"- Amadi's Dad

Favorite Scene:

I still laugh think about this scene. I remember when i was trying to find this movie, that was the only line i remembered since 6 years ago. So after the unfortunate circumstance between Amobi, Oluchi, and the gods, and the twist, Ogechi, Amobi's friend's girlfriend, decides to question him on what he would do if it was her the God's were accusing.

I just did a Coming Soon post on this movie. Click to see it HERE, and there i state i was so excited to see this movie because it involves RAA and a story line i loved. The movie was fine but it fell below my expectations. This movie could have been much more. Half way towards the movie i was not as interested and i was in the beginning but i still watched it. Overall Not bad but it could been four stars.

Breaking it down!

Actors:

Uche Jombo:

Can my girl ever fail me? She delivers in every role, every emotion, any character she plays. I give her 4 of 5 stars.

Tonto Dikeh:

Okay, was it just me or did her acting seem forced. Seems very dramatic, very daytime TV like. It seems like she was slacking but i think it was an effort to play a dumb, over dramatic girlfriend gone wrong. BTW she looked GORGEOUS. I give her 3of 5 stars.

Uti Nwachukwu:

When he first appeared on my screen, my first taught someone get this man an acting coach. So dramatic, yelling, stretching words. I just kept rolling my eyes, it seems like he was just on cloud nine that he was acting. Cheesing and all. But fortunately as the movie went, his excitement died down a bit, and his acting quality improved. He still needs improvement

Audio:

The audio kept fading in and out. But there were no issues with volume at all.

Visual:

Great Visual. RAA is great on visuals and i'm loving it.

Make-Up/Costume:

Tonto looked beautiful. Her hair was on point and her make-up really enhanced her beauty. I loved her outfits. Uche looked gorgeous too, and Uti looked like a gentleman.

Romance:

Romance dey, but it wasn't the kind of romance htat your just stare at your screen because of its cuteness.

Drama:

Oh yes there is. When the secret is found out, it creates the climax to the whole movie. I heard a lot of times that the movie was predictable but i didn't really think it was. Well not until i read it on another person's site, and i was kind of pissed that she gave it away. If you do not really think into it, it really is not that predictable until you start watching. Then as it kind of goes along, then you can 1 + 1 together.

Uti's nanny interviews had me laughing. It was a great scene.

Okay call me too observant but when Uche finds the picture in her book, and she kind of looks at it and changes her mind, well they zoom into the picture and we see her, the little boy, and Uti. Okay well towards the end of the movie, we see that same scene that was in the picture actually as a scene. Like they just gave her one picture from the set. lol Just saying oo

Would I recommend it?

Yes i would, It was a clean watch. It was a nice movie but i just feel it could have been taken to the next level..like something was missing.

I have been wanting to watch this movie, since when i first saw the trailer but i could never find it. So when i found it on IrokoTV i was on cloud 9. Whoop! Minutes into the movie, i realize that it was nothing like i thought it would be. Leila, the writer/director, just threw erotic scenes into the flick. Not even your regular ghanaian soft porn rubbish, but actual tastefully done scenes with much relevance to the movie. The movie just flowed together that you do not even notice it being about two hours long. It felt like it was about 30 minutes long. So simple yet with a powerful script.

Breaking it down!

Actors:

Ama K. Abebrese:

I love her. This is actually my first time watching one of her movies. So simple, calm, and yet was able to portray every emotion. I love how Leila did not go for A List actors to pull this off. I think it even added more to the simplicity. I give her a 3.5 of 5 stars.

Jimmy Jean Louis:

This man is just so fine. Dark chocolate, scrumptous looking *clears throat* what were we saying again? Oh yes, his acting. The man is talented, i believed every single part of his character. You forget about the actor, you focus on the character. I give him a 4.5 of 5 stars.

Audio:

Yes, the audio was great. Ghana is best at audio and visual.

Visual:

The visual reminded me of The Figurine and A sting in a tale. It seems like the latest visual trend in nollywood/Ghallywood, is for it to be bit dim. Giving it a darkish or spooky look. The visual was also great, their writing not so much, i always has to squint to read the captions (Only a few scenes) or cast list in the end.

Costume/Make-up:

So i was amazed at the make-up done on Jimmy Jean Louis, it was realistic. At one time i was considering that they may have actually switched actors and used a real-life victim. So a very huge WHOOP! and shout out to Abby Lyle ~~(Pardon me if i got her name wrong, i really had to squint to make out the letters).~~

Drama:

The drastic change from being a lovely husband to an angry violent man, spun the script. This movie really touched on abuse in marriage and how it affects not only the affected person but also those around them.

Attention to Detail: (Spoiler*)

I loved the fact that details in this movie were thoroughly considered. When oil is spilled on Jimoh's face, it happened on the left, and it was the left that was bandage including part of his arm affected as he tried to block the oil. Unlike other nollywood movies when we all know the man was shot on his left leg and they will go and wrap his entire right leg, even right arm and bandage the head too. Mscheeww.

Memorable Scene:

Okay i have a lot of scenes..three actually

My first one:

When they have sex after the fight, it was clean. You could see Jimmy' muscles popping out, and the acting of the scene seems so realistic. Not to sound interested in it or anything *awkward silence*

My Second One:

So when he ummm, i actually do not want to give this one away. But when i saw this scene i actually literally stared at my screen speechless. Let me give you a hint so you could look out for it. Jimoh throws pabi on the couch, after her outburst about Dr. Zac, and takes her from the back....

My Third One:

This one was sad. I jumped off my bed and started screaming, my sister looking at me like i've gone mad of course, but it was so scary, i thought he was actually going to do it. Again, i do not want to give it away. This one happened towards the end, when she gives him a news about herself and he decides to handle it on his own. He says, "I heard about this in secondary school"

Look out for them and let me know what you think.

Would i recommend it?

Of course i would. It was a great watch. Even the ending was so different. Very simple and it only has two parts. And a plus is the title. I love it, it does not literary give away the script of the movie. For Example: Royal Fight. But it does give you an idea. Kudos to Leila Djansi

The first time i saw the trailer of this movie, i did not know it was a nollywood production, but i loved it. Until i rewatched it then i saw my bobo Ramsey, and Omoni, i knew it was going to be a good flick. The story line is so different, even from our regular juju movies. The way the story was weaved was so creative, only to blow my mind with an amazing ending. In no way did this movie fall short of my expectations, and it only have two parts.

Breaking it Down!
Actors:
Ramsey Nouah:
It was nice to see Ramsey step a little out of the lover-boy role ( notice i said a little), and portray a different role which took me by surprise. His acting was on point, but what sealed the deal for me was the Yoruba; the more he spoke it, the more i loved the movie. His acting was 4 of 5 Stars.
Kunle Afolayan:
This man is just beyond talented. For him to be able to produce, directed, and still portray his character to the T and express the right emotions really impressed me. He played one of the main characters while juggling directing had to have been very difficult, but he did it. He did it but i still see more room for improvement. I truly am a huge fan of his movies and this movie really supported me. His acting was 3.6 out of 5 stars.
Omoni Oboli:
This lady can scream. Goodness gracious. She can cry, she can laugh, and most of all she can act. I believe she is one of the most Underated actresses in Nollywood. She knows how to keep it fresh, turn off herself, and really get into character. Her acting was 4.5 of 5 Stars.

Audio:
The audio was allright, i do not recall having any complaints.
Visual:
The visual was great. No reflectins, no boom mikes..That's all i ask for in Nollywood.
Costume:
The costume in the movie worked for me, i am such a fan of traditional outfits so Kudos to the costumier.
Casting:
This was the perfect cast to me, i would not change it. Kunle Afolayan, Omoni Oboli, and Funlola Aofiyebi represents all things culture. They were the best to really bring out the mythic and traditional aspect to the movie. Although everytime i see Ramsey, i think more city, he actually did well in the movie. He is a very versatile actor, that is why he was also able to portray the culture very well.

Attention to detail:
In the movie, Ramsey has asthma and the directed really did his part by researching what can aggravate asthma, and what an asthma attack looked like. In no part did i see Ramsey rolling around like he has epilepsy, but merely gasping for air. This is what ALOT of Nollywood directors fail to do. They fail to research information on the little details and make it seem more realistic. And sometimes, it is these little details that can break or make a movie.

The Romance:
Let me just warn you that this is not a romance flick, it is neither predictable nor your typical ending. This romance is a dark twisted tale of true love gone wrong. The tale of hoe love can take people to great lenghts. When i started the movie and noticed the love triangle, i already predicted the ending, only to have it tossed back in my face.
The Drama/ Suspense:
Drama wey full this movie three much. Suspense at every twist and turn, i just gave up trying to predict the end, shut up, and watched the movie. I was so into the movie, i kuku put down pencil and paper watch finish.
Thriller:
For the first time, i can actually acknoledge a Nollywood movie for having a bit of thriller in it. The thriller was this dark, twisted..in fact let me not talk too much, i no wan give am away.
Myth:
The whole movie is surrounded by a mythical story; which states that the goddess Araromire, rewards those who touch her with seven years of good luck followed by seven years of bad luck. This myth spins the whole movie.

" I thought he was having a heart attack or something. It turned out it was just Asthma. You should have seen his face, he looked so helpless. Mona i think i'm in love" - Linda

Would i recommend it?

The script was very well written, so well written that it could have easily gone sour. After the unpredictable twists and turns the movie ends with the words "What do you believe?" This words will forever hunt me because till this day i do not know what i believe. Sometimes i think, it was the spirit that drove him to do what he did, and other times i think maybe it was really such a ruse. If you do catch the movie. share with me..What do you believe?
Overall, i highly recommend this movie. It can be a family flick. For me, it took me back to my love for traditional movies as it really captivated the African culture. This was a huge step for Nollywood.

My Take: I tend to love movies, when the guy falls for the nanny, i really like them. And i also like movie that involves kids, a forced partnership, and love they both realize yet try to avoid. *sigh* This movie is different, not like the regular recycled scripts you see in Nollywood. RAA is really blowing me away with all it's wonderful movies. This is another "Grab Your Copies" film for me.

Royal Arts Academy presents, An Udauk Isong Movie, about a young girl in search for greener pastures. The Movie stars Ini Ikpe, Ekere Nkanga, Belinda Effah , and Ifeanyi Kalu. It was written and produced by Udauk Isong Oguamanam and directed by Tom Robson.

Synopsis: Kokomma has to hawk to support her family, but being a pretty girl, men want to buy much more than she has to offer. Her mother sends her to Lagos to save her from men's prying eyes but will she really be safe?

My Take: I see new faces, a great script, and my favorite group, The RAA Production. I do not think it gets better than this. I look forward to this movie, just because it seems like a breathe of fresh air from the recent 'Royal Craze'. This is one to look out for. What do you think?

Single and Married is a new movie produced by Yvonne Nelson, starring a star studded list from the likes of Chris Attoh, Yvonne Nelson, Nadia Buari, Eddie Watson, and so much more. Directed by Pascal Amanfo, the film revolves around a group of friend and their lives single or after marriage.

My Take: First i love the poster for the movie, reminds me a lot of Hollywood movie covers. I trust the Ghana Movie industry to never let me down when it comes to visual and covers. I am actually looking forward to seeing this film, hopefully it is not another soft porn but the story line seems to carry a lot of weight. I cannot wait for the release.

Btw while watching the trailer, am i the only one thinking "What the hell is on Nadia's head?

How she left My Brother is a new experimental sitcom about a webcam, siblings, hidden cameras, and getting rid of your older brother's obnoxious girlfriend.

Synopsis:

EJIRO (Ivie Okujaye) lives with her older brother MATT (Chris Attoh), and they are really, REALLY close.

And that is why Ejiro believes that she has a direct say in Matt’s love-life even over Matt’s best friend TUNJI (OC Ukeje) – who by the way she has a massive crush on, but more on that later…

About 10,000 subscribers to her video blog seem to agree with her need to vet every girl Matt dates (even if it’s just for their amusement)

You see she has a video blog called ‘how she left my brother’ which she runs with her geeky neighbor IK (Victor Godfrey) where she moans and complains about the situation, until the day she actually started to implement little sneaky ways to end Matt’s relationship. It seems a silly childish thing to do -

Until they succeed…

Now they have gotten rid of the girlfriend in question, they are about to shut the blog down – until NICOLE (Eku Edewor) enters the picture.

For now Nicole is just friends with Matt - but she clearly wants to be SO much more…

It seems the blog will continue after all – and we’ll get to tune in…

Don't you just love the whole idea? I do. This is definitely something i look forward to seeing. The trailer is catchy, the story line seems great, and it is a branch out from the typical nollywood. i cannot wait for the series.

Give Me a second, while i cry and bleed in tears for the hours of my life wasted on this film. I do not even kow where to start from: The bad plot, the horrible script, or the terrible actors. When i read the summary of this movie, it did not seem like such a bad movie, but of course to my suprise the movie was nothing like the summary. Absolutely different. I do not even think that there was a way ayone could describe what went on in this movie. They did get one thing right though, the title. Throughout this movie, i was speechless...speechless that such nonsense could be produced.

Breaking it Down!

Actors:

Nadia Buari:
I hear she is taking acting classes abroad, so i hope and pray that i will see results. The girl is dull, no emotion, no action. She does not capture attention on the screen. I spend more time wondering what she has tattooed on her back than i do watching her acting. I give her 1.5 of 5 stars.
Artus Frank:
This man must really love his job because he grazes almost all the covers i see in my vendor's store. The only problem with him loving his job so much is the fact that he is not so great at it. Why am i even buttering it up. Artus Frank is a horrible actor. If you see him, and a cast that cannot make up for the rubbish he will graze your screen with, pick up your slippers and run. I give him .5 of 5stars.
Martha Ankomah:
Why? That's what i want to know. Why did she decide to act. WHY?
George Dickman:
Just one Question; Who the Fck (Pardon my French) let him into the industry?

Audio:
The audio was in and out. Sometimes i could here what they were saying, sometimes i could not.
Visual:
It was nice and clear, probably why it earned one-fourth of that half star i gave the movie.
Costume/Make-up:
Who dressed them?
Casting:
Who ever cast for this movie, did a horrible job. Not only were the combination of main actors a disastrous comibination, all the extras were terrible. As in stomach cringing terrible.

Drama:
The whole drama begins with Nadia's family and then follows through into Artus' family. The script had no sense of direction at all. None of the ideas were developed at all. It was so rushed that the ending of the movie was a narrative and was wrapped up in 3 minutes. Nothing flowed, it was veery choppy.
Romance:
I would not even call it romantic at all, they were no awww moments or even a spark between Nadia and Artus.
Suspense:
There was suspense as the audience tries to figure out what is going on. Why Nadia is acting strange? Or what happened to Artus' Parents? But none of them are chair gripping.

Memorable Quotes:
"I'm Alivin, cool but deadly. You can't grab me by the balls." What a corny and lame phrase.
"You are the most beautiful black woman i've ever met" So she doesn't compare to the white ones?

Favorite Scene:
So there is a scene where a character gets killed. As he approaches his killer, the armed robber pulls out a gun and shoots him down. Now the only problem with this is the fact that we still need to work on our gunshots. First the sounding was off and there were stars shooting from his gun. I bow my head in shame at the visual effects.

Would I recommend it?
HELL NO! Do not watch this movie, it has no weight to it. it is neither interesting nor are the actors appealing. I also heard that they remade the movie into another film using the same characters but attempting to make it better. It is titled Game of Roses. I wonder if it is better.

Drop Of Blood 1&2

The movie is a three part movie, Drop of Blood 1&2 then Mother's Cult 1&2, and the Stone of Tears 1&2. So, it's actually 6 tapes with 2 D.V.D each, bringing it to a total of 12 D.V.Ds. *sigh* Well that was a mouthful.

Rating:

After years of suffering, death, and unending insults, two mothers, bound with ever lasting friendship decide to put an end to it. When two mothers, Obidiya, and Achalugo are given the opportunities to give their sons all they have always wanted and break the curse of death and poverty, they risk their lives and prove their unending love.Now they got exactly what they wanted,but the future proves to be tougher than it seems.

Okay, when i first started this movie, i thought it was only two parts, come to find out i had to watch a total of 12 DVDS. I was so reluctant to watch it, i actually stopped a few times but boy am i glad that i went through and finished the movie. Except for the length, which you actually do not really notice, i enjoyed every bit of this movie. There was a lot of comedic scene, there was romance, my fine bobo, Mike grazed my screen combined with the feisty Patience. What normally kills a nollywood movie, which is the length, played a major role in the movie and allowed the script to the fully developed. So as i am awake typing this review at 12:50 A.M i have absolutely no regrets at all.

Breaking It Down!

Actors:

Patience Ozokwo:

When can you ever go wrong with this lady? I am totally an avid fan of hers (Plus i learnt that her last name is actually Ozokwo not Ozokwor or Ozorkwo, thanks to Twitter account). Anyway, she blew we away. She was so raw and captured every emotion from saddness to happiness to agony. Plus she was hillarious, i'm still smiling sef. I give her 4.5 of 5 stars.

Ngozi Ezeonu:

I love Ngozi Ezeonu and it was nice to see her place a role out of palace queen. Like Patience she blows me away. She was the soft, cry-cry while patience was the fiesty talk-talk. I give her a 4 of 5 stars

Mike Ezuruonye:

Whoop! My fine bobo. I liked his acting. He captured the emotions from suffering to rejoicing to romancing. Kept me glued to my screen...the acting of course. I give him 3.8 of 5 stars.

Chigozie Atuanya:

I do not see a lot of him in movies, and after this one I hope to see him such more. Such raw talent. Everytime he grazed my screen, i just had to smile, he was too much. Please Nollywood Bring back talent like this. I give him 3.5 of 5 stars.

Audio:

They had a little bit of problems with the audio with the in and out. Sometimes the audion would just cease and then the next scene would be extra loud, but this only occurred in very few scenes. The audio was clear. had it on one constant level throughout.

Visual:

Clear visual. Not bad, not spectacular either. Just the right amount to enjoy a movie without squinting.

Costume/Make-Up:

I would love to give a shout out to AKEEM ONILOGBO for the mad special effect make-up. His or Her work was so amazing i was cringing at the site of the wounds. Mad talent right there. So Kudos because she or he did an amazing job. Also the costumer, Ogo Okechi, did an amazing job. Mehn were the characters looking poor when they were and rich where they were. And also *SPOILER* was Mike and Chigozie looking handsome during their wedding scene.

Casting:

Who ever did the casting for this movie, did a great job. All the characters interactions were amazing, like real life relationships. It was a star studded cast. Even my mane man, the man that always plays dibia or babalawo appeared toward the end). All the minor characters could act to at least some extent. Kudos to the casting director!

Drama:

Of course they was drama. Between the main character's family and all the other families. Obidiya vs. Ada Mazi. Gabriel vs. Nkechi father. Paul and Gabriel Vs. Azuka. Obidiya, Achalugo, paul, and gabriel vs. everyone in the village. A tale of never ending drama and it is this that spins the story.

Romance:

When Gabriel falls for Nkechi, it was probably one of the cutest things, but of course she is rich and he is poor. But it wasn't your typical rich vs poor rubbish. It was smooth, different. A breath of fresh air.

Comedy:

This movie was beyond comedic. I have so many memorable quotes and scenes. I laughed so much, my sister kept making me pause my movie to explain what was going on (She didn't want to watch because it had so many parts).

Traditional:

Juju, *check*

Witchcraft *check*

Revenge *check*

Babalawo *check*

and most importantly, Patience Ozokwo *check*

Suspense:

You cannot not possible predict the end of the movie, no matter how hard you try. You might get some of it but the ending is so unpredictable. I liked it; the twist separated it from other movies with the similar plots. In fact there was even a twist in the twist. In the twist that would have made it like other nollywood movies with a different but annoying movie, there was a twist making it a perfect ending. Catch my drift?

Friendship:

This is not a genre but i just had to highlight it. it was so nice to see Obidiya and Achalugo be in harmony with each other. Them together has to be the best combination of on screen friendship o have seen. It made me call up my best friend to let her know that we were going to grow old together committing crimes and rejoicing together. Well not really but it did make me go "awww". I loved the relationship. Throughout the movie i prayed they would stay friends and they did. It was too good.

Gabriel and Paul together was a hillarious combination, like one of those relationships everyone wants to have.

Memorable Quotes:

"Cause by the time i finish with you, you will look like a bald headed vulture with diarrhea."

"In the dream he walked up to me and gave me meat...i think it was goat meat"-Achalugo

"You even know the kind of meat. that must the Hunger." -Obidiya

..and the best scene..i even rewinded.

"emm since she has been a good mother to us, we'll give her fifty"-Gabriel

"Mu wa. 50 Naira? A ta la'm Nsi" -Achalugo

"Mama Onyeochs don't worry yourself, i will give you hundred"-Paul

"o ga di li gi nma. Thank You nwa'm"- Achalugo

"ehh"- Gabriel

"e kwe lum" -Paul

"That means me too i'll give Nma Nnukwu here hundred" -Gabriel

"ehhh *laugh* Big spender"- Obidiya

I loved this scene and the realization when Obidiya and Achalugo realize they are talking money in much bigger amounts.

Memorable Scene:

The scene below in the video and the scene after it were my favorite

The scene in Paul and Gabriels home after they run into quiet some cash from the oyinbo man.

Would i Recommend it?

Most Definitely i would. Do not mind the length, just enjoy it at your own pace, it is worth it. Those hours of my life watching this movie were well spent.

Now before i end this review i have only two questions.

1) Where in the world does Nollywood bring their Onyinbo's from.

2) Where did they bring the character that played Nkechi, Gabriel's love interest from?
