Take one of the new, pastel coloured eyeshadows which are either sheer in texture or have a touch of shimmer (or one you already have!).

Something like this, from Bourjois – the Little Round Pot Eyeshadow (£6.49), in new shades for summer including No 15 Rose Macaron …

Or one of these, the lovely new Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadows (£17 each) – so easy to swipe on with a fingertip ….

And LOVE the sheer, buildable texture of Soap & Glory’s Lid Stuff (£10 for a compact of four GREAT colours!) …

Try a shade that contrasts with your hair colour (greens work well for blondes, lilacs and lavenders for brunettes and soft pinks can look gorgeous on redheads).

Simply sweep over the entire lid – lickety split! – and blend over the crease of the eyelid and upwards, fading the colour as you blend out.

Keep the rest of your make-up to the bare minimum – a lick of lip gloss, maybe, and hint of natural blush and a coat of mascara if you wear it.

Such an easy, fresh way to get a modern summer look!
