Today, Sundays event, was located in Piedmont Park. The weather cooperated with no rain and partly cloudy. Better than a full sun day since the whole event today was outdoors, under tent and not under tent event.
Anyway, I wanted to comment on my favorite vendors and experience, while it is fresh in my head. First, not to complain, if this were in California or the West Coast, it would be a Food and Wine Festival. Since we are located in Georgia with vendors from Kentucky the Carolina’s etc, it is more Food and Bourbon. I know this because, I went to the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival!
My Favorite Vendor was Welsummer Brand @ www.welsummerbrand.com
I found their cheeses and homemade hard salami’s to be very memorable and I will order in the next day or 2 for sure!
I am not here to complain, but with only a few wine vendors, why do they not just call it a food and beverage, or liqueur Festival? That would be a better description of the event and vendor list. From Whiskey drinks to beer brews to spicy hot pickles and doughnuts, there really is something for everyone.

Suwanee is a wonderful area for work and play. With several recreational parks and shopping/dining in the city, there is something for everyone. Check out Suwanee Town Center, or the mall of Georgia right around the corner in Buford for a fun day of shopping. If you are more adventurous, Sims Lake Park or Suwanee Creek Greenway may be more up your alley. Also, there are plenty of festivals throughout the year to partake in, such as Suwanee Fest, fun runs, Food Truck Friday’s, and many more.
Public schools assigned to The River Club are Level Creek Elementary School, North Gwinnett Middle School, and North Gwinnett High School. All are highly rated, receiving a 9/10, 10/10, and 10/10 respectively on GreatSchools.org.
