    Goodbye Blue Monday, a family-owned and operated local business, is graciously supplying the coffee at cost with Northfield Nursery School receiving 100% of the profits! We are grateful to sell the coffee at the same price as last year:

    The coffee is $12/pound and is packaged in a 1 pound bag.

    For those of you who are coffee drinkers, consider stocking up for the winter. Coffee also makes an excellent, thoughtful gift for family, friends, teachers, bus drivers, mail carriers, and co-workers.

    Your participation is encouraged and appreciated to help raise money for our nursery school.

    Attached find your family’s fundraising packet which includes a description of the tasty coffee varieties offered and an order form. Please take orders and return your packet to your child’s teacher or in the tuition mailbox at school no later than Wednesday, November 5th. Please collect payment (checks payable to Northfield Nursery School) at the time of order. Orders will be distributed December 2nd – 5th at drop-off and pick-up time at school.

Sounds like chaos at first, but taking a closer look, it was all by design.

    Northfield Nursery School held a pancake breakfast Oct. 11 with games and activities taking place afterward outside.

    Once filled up from a plate full of flapjacks and sausage, the children had the chance to draw and color at a craft table, challenge their throwing skills at a bean-bag game, as well as sing and dance. There was also good, old-fashioned playground equipment to horse around on with newly made friends from other classes as well current classmates.

    However, the two most popular activities of the day were the face painting and the inflatable castle the children could jump around in. In fact, after getting a star, balloon cluster, pumpkin or any number of other things painted on their face, many children returned later to get something completely different painted on the length of their arm.
