The controllers broke on the Wii this weekend, and my son didnt know what to do with himself. I told him about "board games" and he stared blankly in my direction. "what are board games daddy and where are the controllers?" after a little explaining, we went and got out the chess board. My son and Daughter then proceeded to beat me hands down after 10mins of learning the rules. Right, not having that, the next day we got out Monopoly where I believed they wouldnt understand the property trading rules and I would win. A few hours later, and tail between my legs, I had been totally thrashed. However, both my daughter, my son and I had a fantastic time, and the giggling and digs at each other, such as "show me the MONEY!" were well worth the defeat.

I spent a whole saturday night awake this weekend. Some friends and I travelled on a regional ticket to Szczecin, Poland for 12 Euros each there and back. We managed to have a little cultural journey, see some sights, have a few beers and then take the first train out in the morning. What a different and interesting way to see somewhere, and cheap enough to still have had fun.

Being a small company brings some rather unique problems to the table. Today for instance we are trying to find a new supplier for our flexi fit caps, without losing the exceptional quality that we already have, and without an increase in cost. This is more difficult than it sounds as we cannot bulk buy, like the bigger companies. So, we have to find a supplier who believes in our small company as much as we do, and is willing to cut us a deal. Not impossible, but more difficult than the big boys. Should be a fun day.

I was pleasantly surprised last night, with a local football team whilst being in Hmaburg. Not only did St.Pauli win, they also played fair, and complained to the referee when he tried to send a player off from the other team. A great weekend at sea palling with the kids on jetski's. However, firstly my daughter stepped on a weaver fish which had to be treated, then ryanair managed to mess up my flight back to Bremen and I landed in Frankfurt. Then had to take an overnight bus to Bremen (7 hours), and then take the train (late) to work. I was not too happy, but I am still smiling as the weekend with the kids was great.

Whilst using the gas bbq this weekend I managed to trap a nerve in my back. It has made worknig on a computer and sitting at a desk very uncomfortable to say the least. Just a reminder to all that you should always bend at the knee when lifting things...might save some pain for others out there.

Morgan, my four year old son told me last night that he had blown the clouds away, all the way across England to Germany, so some good news for all that are travelling. Thanks to my four year old, flights have resumed today and all us travellers can get back home. Should he be awareded some sort of medal for his efforts?

With Mark being stuck in Germany due to the volcano, Morgan has been missing his daddy. He was found yesterday in the garden running around blowing. When asked what he was doing, he said, "I am helping to blow the clouds away, so my daddy can come home......"

Marks travel plans were ruined over the weekend due to the volcano, but it seems it hasnt stopped him designing. He has sent more designs to the office this weekend and we have created the products for the website. Check out the new "getout=putin", the updated "indie is dead" and also the "sport is not a wii game", thanks mark....anyone want to start more volcanos, so mark does more work on the weekends?

Our video got us through to the night, our dancing got us through to the last 4 (in first position!) and my team members drinking, made us only come third. Well at least they had fun. And, third worst dancer in the world is not bad eh, a full report with photos will follow...

Had a hard week last week, lost my passport whilst in Hamburg, then had to get an emergency one to travel back to UK. Then waiting around for a new passport before flying back out to Hamburg, again. All fun, bit a little bit too stressfull. At least I managed to get home for my daughters seventh birthday.

Working hard each day always makes me smile, its great to have a job I love, but sometimes, just sometimes, I get to thursday and think the weekend cannot come quickly enough. Not that I have anything planned for the weekend, just could do with the break and just sitting there reading a book. Hope the weathers good and then I can sit in the garden and enjoy it.

what a great weekend with the olds. The kids went horseriding, collecting shells on the beach, playing in the playgrounds (along with uncle shaun), and in the hottub. brilliant, tired after the weekend, but had a great time.
