Ahh Lindsay, you have no idea how similar I have felt the past few weeks. I have felt like I didn't WANT to hang in there, and that He had forgotten about me. Turns out, God was "stripping" me of some things that are sinful, namely pride. And I can't say for sure, but I think I know where He's going with this... there are some carreer changes ahead for us too :)

Anyway, I was there also girl. Thanks for being so honest and open about your trails. I called you today too. Maybe we can chat soon :)

"Something life-changing that you never dared to expect or never even knew you needed." LOVE that description of what you're experiencing. Now that I am through most of the trial, I am oddly thankful for my post partum anxiety and depression. I NEEDED it to expose my heart. Yes, much of it was physiological, but so much of it was sin in my heart too. It's so hard to be thankful for trials, especially when they expose our hearts! This post is so beautifully written, and I pray that your attitude will continue to be an example to others for His glory! Hebrews 12 is my favorite chapter in all of scripture. May this encourage you today!

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only who sometimes prays silly things in that in-between state. Once as I was drifting off to sleep, I heard myself pray, "And dear Lord, please protect us from the pirates."

Pirates. In Indiana? I have no idea what inspired that prayer, but somewhere deep down in my brain, I was apparently fearing a sea voyage.
