Sleeping With Hinako’s Official Website Launched!

Still remember the upcoming “Sleeping with Hinako” OVA? It looks like the website has officially launched, and now you can visit several sections of the site for more information regarding the OVA.

Sleeping with Hinako will be arriving in stores pretty soon, dated for a 11th February 2010 release. The OVA will be available in both Blu-Ray and DVD formats, priced at 3,570 yen and 2,625 yen respectively. If the animated version doesn’t satisfy you, you can also grab a dakimakura of Hinako for 9,450 yen over at AmiAmi! Available in 2 different versions too!

*Ahem*

The 45 minutes plus disc will be separated into 7 different sections, each focusing on different kinds of bed for sleeping. Sleeping with Hinako will hopefully “teach” people on the methods and ways to sleep properly. Much like the previous season with Hinako, we can probably expect the same teaching techniques applied, although this time round, the theme is hugely focused on sleeping.

There are also other features such as customizing your own play through of the video? Sounds like a plan to me!

Dead Space 2 & Dragon Age Sequel On 2011

Still remember Dead Space, that well-received survival horror game from EA? Or even that fantasy Bioware RPG game, Dragon Age? It looks like EA has finally released some vague dates on when the game will be released!

According to Electronic Arts, Dragon Age’s sequel and Dead Space 2 is scheduled for a 31th March 2011 release. Not only that, looks like EA is also porting Dead Space towards the mobile gaming platforms (iPhone and others).

Of course, there are skepticism about how the sequel would turn out, since Dragon Age took a good amount of time to develop. Not only that, the game wasn’t as big as one would have imagined, so a sequel in 2 years seems to be a little too fast.

Other than that, I’m pretty sure many people are looking forward to Dead Space 2. The return of Issac Clark is something to rejoice for, you know!

Facebook Turning To FPS Gaming Too?

While Facebook is primarily a community portal for many people to link up together, it is also a massive casual gaming portal which houses thousands of fun and addictive games. Most of these games are either web-based browser games or flash games, but it looks like Facebook is finally moving onto a genre less traveled by web-browsers: First Person Shooter.

Introducing “Brave Arms“, the upcoming FPS game for Facebook, which more or less somewhat of a cartoon shooter that is launched on the Facebook platform. Developed by 3G Studios, this particular game will feature full 3D environments and models to the usually static games of Facebook.

With their art direction based off something like Battlefield: Heroes and Team Fortress 2, Brave Arms will feature some sort of cartoonish models and environment. Not necessarily a bad thing, but this would really make people think of their computers can actually support such a 3D game. Not everyone on Facebook actually has a powerful rig!

Looks like web-browser launched 3D games are getting extremely popular these days, with EA’s Battlefield: Heroes and id Software/Bethesda’s Quake Live. Both games were extremely well-received, and Brave Arms might just be the next successful game, powered by the millions of users on Facebook. Brave Arms is scheduled for launch this March.

The downside? You might just quit the game because of the sheer amount of invitation, feeds and all those community stuff you get from Facebook instead of the game!

Sony Still Losing Money On Their Console

When the PS3 first launched, it wasn’t exactly the most profitable console in Sony’s history. Even to this date, the PS3 is still losing money for every single console sold!

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise though, seeing Sony did make an official statement that they are purposely selling their consoles on a loss for a reason: they believe PS3 games and peripherals’ mark up prices will be able to bring in some positive profits. Then again, that’s how every single console company works.

Nevertheless, while the PS3 console is still losing money so far, it has improved drastically since last year. Currently, they are only losing about $18 per console, which is really quite a feat, considering it has lost countless amount of money in the past.

The PS3 had come a long way since it’s first introduction, and with the PS3 Slim’s reduced functionality and all, Sony predicts that 2011 will be year where their consoles will start making money for them. Until then, it’s bringing out the money from the pockets for every single console sold!

Final Fantasy 13 Will Feature Downloadable Content On Xbox 360

While FF13 is confirmed to be arriving on the Xbox 360 soon, there’s barely any confirmation if the game would be powered by any kind of online component at all. Granted, these kinds of game aren’t really the online kind of game, but it’s still good to see if there’s any downloadable package as it just might make the game a lot more interesting.

As many would know by now, the PS3 version of FF13 featured some sort of downloadable content, but it isn’t exactly the ones that you might wanted. There’s no word about what the Xbox 360 version would offer, although it would hopefully something more useful in game such as levels and equipments. The PS3 version featured some alternate costumes and potion packs, and that isn’t really kind of a big deal when you think about it…

New “Working!!” Trailer Released

The official website of “Working!!” had recently updated itself with yet another trailer which focuses on the character, 17 year old waitress Mahiru Inami. This is probably the 4rd trailer in the special character trailer line up, it looks like characters trailers which focuses on specific characters will be released periodically.

The 32 seconds trailer focuses entirely on the shy but hardworking Mahiru Inami. If you’re interested, you can drop by this particular link and view it. On that page, you can also access the previously released character trailers.

It looks like Working!! is going all out on promoting itself. So far, it looks pretty good and I hope it stays the same! Working!! has the potential to be a great slice-of-life series!

Working!! will be airing in Japan this April.

Doesn’t Matter How Well-Trained, Well-Armed You Are In Aliens Versus Predators

If you’re playing a Colonial Marine… well, chances that you’re royally screwed. You may have the best guns and training in the world, but when it comes down to fighting Xenomorphs and Predators, you don’t have much of a chance against. Especially Xenomorphs!

Granted, the game is really called Aliens versus Predators but not Aliens verus Humans versus Predators, so you should probably get the idea why humans are so fragile the whole game. Then again, it shouldn’t be too bad if you’re a Marine in the game, the Corps gives you everything: a gun, some bullets, completed with lots and lots of targets to shoot.

Yeah, well, killing dozens of xenomorphs before going down isn’t too bad, actually. But still, being a Marine in the Corps these days is probably some of the best jobs you’ll ever find in the era of galactic travel, I guess?

The Ryus Of Street Fighter 4 That Never Made The Mark

Ryu is probably one of the most iconic figure of the Street Fighter series, and that’s precisely why Ryu had to go through several extreme makeovers to make sure he looks presentable to players.

Playing enough Street Fighter 4 will probably burn the image of Ryu into your mind by now. But for the sake of people who haven’t seen Ryu in Street Fighter 4 before, here’s a picture of how he looks like:

And this is how he looks like in the previous few iterations before he got finalized as the look above:

According to the developers of SF4, it looks like Ryu had went through almost 10 different iterations before they finally decided on how Ryu should look like. If you ask me, I would definitely prefer the look of Ryu on the bottom right of the second picture. The Ryu in SF4 now just looks too old (i know, i know, storyline and stuffs, right?).

It’s not just Ryu who had gotten the “many-designs” as the director of SF4 mentioned that Chun-Li had received so many redesigns on the face that he couldn’t count how many there are in total! The changes were apparently decided when the surveys returned that players would something different from Chun-Li.

Other interesting bit of information includes the deformation of several anatomy of the characters while fighting. It was stated that, for example, the fist of a character would suddenly become bigger when the character strikes the enemy. This is to give an impression to the player, just like the previous Street Fighter games had done it.

Sure, BlazBlue is awesome and all in it’s all glorious HD format, but have you ever wondered how BlazBlue would be like when it’s converted into your classic NES 8-bit format?

Granted, there’s no actual 8-bit conversion of the game yet, there’s something else there really got converted into 8-bit: the music that made the game so much more enjoyable to play.

Aki Sora Getting Additional Anime!

If you’ve watched the first OVA of Aki Sora, you might be interested in more as the homepage of the incest manga series had recently announced that they would working on yet another Aki Sora anime adaptation.

Aki Sora follows the story of a boy called “Sora” and his affection towards his older sister called “Aki”. Somewhere along the lines of ecchi if you will, and there’s plenty of fetishes involved as the story goes along, ranging from yuri and all the way to cross-dressing.

The last OVA for Aki Sora was released sometime last year as a bundle with the limited edition of the manga. There’s no information regarding how and when the new OVA will be released, but what’s confirmed is that the previous animating studio as well as the casts and staffs will still be working on the new OVA. So, if you’ve liked the first one, I’m guessing that chances the second one would suit your liking too!
