To deny, Windows Mobile has been the ugly duckling of mobile operating systems in recent years. Despite the multiple functions offered by the operating system, the lack of evolution and an unattractive interface have been a drag. With Windows 7 Series Phone Microsoft wants to become a swan.

The Consumer focus is very clear in this new operating system version, which breaks both with existing preferred to completely change to the name. Hardly any detail will remind us what was on offer so far with Windows Mobile.

Immediate access to information, integration of multimedia content and using other Microsoft services such as Xbox Live or Zune Music will be among the highlights of Windows Phone 7 Series, with a visual aspect much more attractive than their predecessors .

The home screen offers a series of live panels, which shows real-time content, from news to status updates from our contacts. We can, for example, create a panel to one of our contacts in the display the latest photos you’ve uploaded to their social networks, the latest posted messages, …

Another of the basic features of Windows Phone 7 Series are the Windows Phone hubs that show us a single view web content, applications, services, … interrelated. By default, the system will come with six different hubs.
People. It will display the latest updates on social networks and photographs submitted, allowing also send updates to Facebook or Windows Live.Fotos. Facilitates sharing photos and video from one place, integrating not only with the Web but also with our computer, to access all our colección.Juegos. Xbox LIVE will be the key to this hub, which will include games and access the online service.

Music and video. Zune In this case the service is integrated into the system, providing access to content that you store on your computer, you download from online sites through which to tune the FM radio. The Zune interface is an old HD for Windows Phone 7 Series.

Applications market. It allows market access and downloading applications to mobile.

Office. The quintessential office application will be available for the latest mobile operating system. Office, OneNote, SharePoint Workspace will allow us to read, edit and share documents, while Outlook Mobile will have access to all functions of the manager from the phone.

Bing also stays out of the equation, and all phones with Windows Phone 7 Series will have a physical key for direct access to the search.

But we still have enough to enjoy the first devices with embedded operating system. It was from the end of this year when they start to market, and there are several manufacturers that have committed to submit models with him, among which include Dell, Garmin, Asus, HTC, HP, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Qualcomm Thosiba.

In addition, there are still many doubts about the capabilities and functionality of Windows Phone 7 Series, which we hope to be seeing unveiled during the next few days.

Videos update adds official Microsoft Windows Phone 7.

It was the middle of 2009 that the switch from analog to digital TV broadcasting in the US happened. The edge that digital broadcasting has over analog is that there are more programming options and it allows a sharper, clearer picture to be displayed on your television set. Also, traditional problems like snowing and ghosting when your TV set cannot receive a strong signal from a station’s transmitter has been eliminated.

The digital transition has completely transformed the TV watching experience for those who are not willing to pay for cables and using a regular TV antenna for local channels. Now they have more channels available in a much higher quality.

Here are few considerations that you need to make when looking for a TV antenna to buy for your HDTV. First, check whether you need an indoor or an outdoor antenna. If you live far from the TV towers or have a lot of signal obstructions, an outdoor antenna may be necessary. If you live near a big city, however, then most likely an indoor antenna will suffice.

The location of your home with respect to the TV transmitters also determines whether you need an amplified or a non-amplified antenna. Based on the channels available in your area you ‘ll have to decide whether you need a UHF, VHF or dual band UHF/VHF antenna. By choosing the right type of TV antenna, you can enjoy a clear, crisp image and an uninterrupted viewing of your favorite programs.

If Sony’s PS3 could boast the powerful Cell chip, the next generation, the Playstation 4, could set aside that architecture and switch to classic multi-processor computer.

Although not more than a rumor, this change in the classic one Cell chip is likely to involve an important consequence: non-PS3 backward compatibility of the present with the future Playstation 4. Everything is born of Japanese technology specialist with good contacts in the development department at Sony.

Sony PS4 traditional processor

The rumor suggests that Sony is already working on the hardware side of the Playstation 4, which would have to leave by 2012 in principle. In the current stage of development would have thought of leaving aside the IBM Cell and Toshiba to make the leap to a solution of Intel code-named Larrabee.

However, this first option was discarded exchange for not offering guarantees that require power the console on the field of three dimensions, which should give the C’s future console from Sony.

The choice that now seems closer to the future Playstation 4 is a multi-core configuration closer to that of a traditional PC in order to facilitate the development for the console.

In a post on the official blog of Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, vice president of OEM services Chris Kenyon has published several interesting information. We learn such as Canonical and Google are bound by contract to work on the operating system OS chrome.

The famous Linux distribution Ubuntu OS and Chrome are therefore common. Chris Kenyon said the goal was clearly not reinvent the wheel, and the open source development focuses more on cooperation than competition. Well, we will not hold a conference on the subject, but there is cooperation between the two companies in software engineering done in Chrome OS.

In a stated goal of transparency and Canonical announced that it supplies components to Google’s system. Of course, these components are not those of Ubuntu in the state, because Chrome OS is significantly altered and has a special operation. Chris Kenyon also points indicating that Ubuntu keeps its traditional operating system to do everything, of course taking care of standard applications, while Chrome OS focuses entirely on Web applications.

It is especially a ground on which Ubuntu can greatly help Google and is one of the pilots. The firm removes Mountain View is part of the equation by focusing on some netbooks especially since the precise conditions necessary to market a machine with Chrome OS. But if Canonical provides at least part of the pilot, Google will devote his time to refine its operating system.

During 2010, we will then as usual two new versions of Ubuntu, of 10.04 in April, then 10.10 In October, putting forward progressive Software Center. But in the same period about Ubuntu 10.10, Chrome OS should make his big entrance on the market.
