There's been a number of opportunist thefts from cars in the area which might have been prevented had the owners followed some basic crime prevention advice. It is important that motorists make sure when they leave their vehicles that they remove all valuable items. Two officers on horseback arrested a suspected burglar after a report of an incident at a nearby house.
