今回の設置はサハラ通り（サーカス・サーカスの北側）からラッセル通り（マンダレイベイの南側）まで、約４マイル間の各信号機部分、３７箇所。
高度な画質・撮影能力のあるこのカメラは、角度も変えられ、Zoomインなども可能ですが、撮影記録は２週間のみの保管で、その後は自動的にリセットされます。
（あのボストン・マラソンの際にもずいぶんと役立ちましたよね）
撮影開始は６月末からの予定なので、運転には気をつけましょう。


さて。この同じストリップ大通り。この通りを開放して走れるのが『ラスベガス・マラソン』。
近年、日本からの参加者も少しずつ増えており、毎年１２月に開催されておりましたが、
今年は予定を早めて１１月１７日（日）に決定しました。
何故早くなったかって？
日本人にはまだ親しまれていませんが、12月の同時期「National Finals Rodeo」というイベントがあり、
10日間にわたるこのBigイベントは、わざわざ暇な１２月を盛り上げようと設定されたわけですが、たまたま去年、この二つのイベントが重なってしまったために、てんやわんやしてしまった、というのが一番の理由のようです。なので、今年のラスベガスマラソンは11月ですので、
そこに照準を合わせた調整をして参加して下さいね。

チノ市にある航空博物館、それはロサンゼルスダウンタウンから東へ約1時間走ったところにあります。
比較的小さい博物館なのですが、ここには世界で唯一、今でも飛行する事が出来る『ゼロ戦』が保有されています。この他にも第二次世界大戦中の世界各国の戦闘機や歴史的な飛行機も展示されております。また、毎年航空ショーも催されており、2013年は5月4日と5日です。
『ゼロ戦』と言えば、日本でベストセラーになった小説『永遠のゼロ』でも注目され、2013年に映画も封切り予定との事。航空ファンでなくても興味を持ってしまう博物館です。
ロサンゼルスに来られる際にちょっと変わった訪問地にどうぞ。
