We will narrow down the choices to the top 5 and then people will vote for their favorite.

A $500 donation will be made to the top charity.

Donation to Saint Joseph’s Hospital to Help Children in ER

We presented Saint Joseph’s Hospital a check for $1,000 for the purchase of Play Books to give out to children in the ER. These will keep children busy with no mess. This project was done in conjunction with other local Junior clubs.

Donation to Florida Hospital | Healing Garden Bench

We presented the new Florida Hospital in Wesley Chapel $500 for a bench in the Healing Garden. Stop by and see it, it has a beautiful plaque in our honor.

Special Santa Update: 31 Families and 70 Kids Enjoyed a Happy Holiday

The NTJWC and BJ’S helped bless 31 families and 70 kids this 2012 holiday season.

We gathered approximately 250 toys separately from the “adopted” children’s toys and and additional 157 books. Mort Elementary greatly benefited from our generosity and hard work this year.

I would like to thank everyone for helping out and helping make all 70 kids “adopted” this year have a great Christmas. Thank for taking the time away from your families to reach out to our community.

Donation to United Nations Foundation Shot@Life

This month the New Tampa Junior Woman’s Club will be donating $100 to the United Nations Foundation Shot@Life campaign.

This GFWC partner works to protect children worldwide by providing life-saving vaccines.

According to the Shot@Life website, the number of children in developing countries that die from the lack of life-saving immunizations each year is equal to about half the number of US children in kindergarten.

Could you imagine living in a country that lost half of its kindergarteners each year?!?

And then knowing this could be prevented with access to a few inexpensive life-saving vaccines?!? It’s honestly
incomprehensible, yet it’s reality to so many families around the world.

Thankfully the club’s $100 donation will literally be giving more than 10 children a shot at life.

Juniors Participate in Trick or Treat for UNICEF

This month, Juniors will be participating in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!!!

We’re hoping members will commit to collecting their change for the entire month of October, in addition to Halloween night. What a FABULOUS way to teach your children about giving back!
