When you are embarking on a full-scale kitchen remodel, don’t forget about setting up a temporary kitchen. Especially if you are used to preparing meals everyday. You will not be able to prepare a Christmas Day type spread, however, you will be able to cook edible meals instead of having to eat out every night.

Take a look at what you will need in order to setup a temporary kitchen:

Easy access to all the essentials. You’ll need to have things like microwaveable plates, meals and dishes handy. Also, you’ll want to have plenty of non-perishable foods and condiments, utensils; dishcloths; dishwasher soap; paper plates, cups, garbage bags and napkins.
Plan to wash dishes in an alternate sink. You will be without a kitchen sink for quite some time. So make sure to plan for washing dishes in the bathtub or another sink. You can also buy disposable plates and utensils to cut down on washing.
Make sure your mini fridge or old refrigerator is close to a water source.

You also want to make sure that you keep other small appliances handy on a nearby table or shelf such as microwave, toaster, toaster oven, hot plates and electric grills.

For example, flooring, appliances, lighting, cabinets, and countertops are great categories.

You can accumulate kitchen images from home design magazines, the internet, brochures, or even photos you have taken. Just make sure you are noting what it is you like about the images. Sometimes you may forget specific details you wanted to point out about a certain aspect of the image, especially if it is just a shot of an entire kitchen rather than a specific appliance, device or detail. You can also circle or highlight certain details within the image to help you emphasize and remember a specific element. This is an awesome way to see your kitchen come together, piece by piece.
