Soo… I’ve been meaning to bring this up for the last three months.

I happened to be the one to walk away with the prize from the Feet of Clay game, I recall at the time there was some talk of mailing the prize around to all the ‘winners’, in the hopes that everyone would get to have it for a while before the next con.

If this idea is still on the cards, or if anyone just wants to get their hands on a plastic skull and little silver feet please let me know. Addresses or whatever can be emailed to me. My email address is my screen-name all in lower case at yahoo dot com dot au.

I’m always up for something…

Anyone have any suggestions as to where? Lots of places in the city for a meal or drink. I’d suggest a picnic but the weather in September is a bit uncertain- we would need a good plan B.

Hello all,

My boyfriend and I (both Pratchett fans, of course!) are planning a trip to Australia around September, and I thought it would be really nice to join a Pratchett-fan gathering while we’re there. I understand that there are no official and regular gatherings (except the Conventions..), so maybe we could organize one?

As this trip goes, we’ll have time for such a gathering only while we’re in Melbourne, which will be at the end of September.

So what do you say? Anybody up to this? :)

Just a quick post to let you all know that the Charity Auction proceeds of $3905.50 was distributed to the Orangutan Foundation UK and Alzheimer’s Australia. The amount was divided evenly between them which means they both received $1952.75 each.

Making Money The Play

Hi all,

Just came back from a play of “Making Money” here in Adelaide by Unseen Theatre Company at the Bakehouse Theatre

It was really really good. And I’m actually saying that honestly. I’ve done plays with Unseen before (a loooong time ago, six years was my last one) and I do see a lot of their shows, but this is the first for a long time where I really enjoyed every minute of it. It is very very funny, and the guy playing Moist does an amazing job and has really got the flair and comic timing required. Most of the rest of the cast was pretty good too – and despite its length (2 hrs 10mins plus interval) the show just flies by – no time is wasted, the dialogue is snappy and fast paced and the scene changes are so quick you hardly notice them.

So… two nights left if anyone’s local and wants to go! Book online at the Bakehouse Theatre website.
