What does one build for Kanye West, self-proclaimed genius, Lothario, Byronic hero, mover of mountains and stone? What kind of structure could even handle the intense force of nature that is Kanye’s ego? A pyramid, of course.

For this year’s Cannes Film Festival, West hired OMA to design a temporary polyhedral pavilion to debut his short film Cruel Summer.

This isn’t the first time something like this has been proposed, but it may be the first to get built. It takes different architecture archetypes and “inserts” them next to each other in one unifying structure.

Rather than design a run-of-the-mill skyscraper for a new hotel in Xian, China, architects 3Gatti decided to put lots of smaller buildings on a gigantic set of shelves.

Chicago Architecture firm, Studio Gang, has expanded on a student project done while on spring break using their own designs and lolcatz.

With a 10-minute time limit, the contestants used only images of Studio Gang architecture and Studio Gang cats to churn out a series of ‘Archi-cats’ that riff on the firm’s very own designs and renderings.

Grandmother Sues Apple For “Dangerous” Glass Architecture

I think we all knew this day was coming, when people weren’t responsible for being dumb.

The octogenarian filed her suit after she walked into the front (glass) door of the Manhasset Apple Store in Long Island, a collision which left her with a broken nose, she claims.

…they have to appreciate the danger that this high-tech modern architecture poses to some people.
