The 441 positions will be abolished by July 2012 and this is part of a bigger plan to boost profitability. Last year’s profit was NZ$ 38 million after tax and apparently that’s not enough.

The government, which owns Air New Zealand, is also planing to sell down its 74 per cent ownership to 51 per cent.

Lot's of fun in Rotorua

Just 5 minutes driving from downtown Rotorua you find the Agrodome. Once you get there you will have lot’s of activities to chose from. This one is lot’s of fun! It’s the only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. There’s a type of airplane turbine pushing you upwards! Definitely worth doing it!

Rotorua Museum and the Government Gardens in Rotorua

It’s been a great day in Rotorua. We are runing a private tour for a group from Hong Kong. They are going to visit the Polynesian Spa tonight and the Museum (picture) tomorrow morning.

Then we leave Rotorua towards the Waitomo Region to visit the Kiwi House and the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, which is the most visited attraction in New Zealand!

Now that’s what we call a boat! Queen Elizabeth has just arrived in Auckland. The cruise ship will ve here for 1 day only.

You have to go to the Ferry Building if you wish to go for a ride. Prices are:

Child: NZ$ 45.00 (14 years or under)

Once you buy your ticket  you also get a free entry to the Maritime Museum, which is located only 100 metres from the Ferry Building. You go for an adrenaline rush, then relax at the museum!
