Designers.mx is a community where design and music meet. Designers.mx is a collection of “mix tapes” or in modern terms streaming mp3s. Each album cover is custom designed by the chosen designer and submitted along with their track selections. Each mix tells a different story and provides a little more insight into what fellow designers are into. Designers.mx is an awesome way to find new music and provides a great sound track while I work.

I recently submitted a mix and it’s up there now, so head on over and take a listen.

Darren Booth (@darbooth) is an illustrator and typographer from Canada. His work really stands out to me because of the way he mixes medias. Not everything is perfect and in order, his work is a great example of that. Darren’s typography work is what really blew me away so I figured I would share some of my favorites with you. Enjoy!

The decision to keep the card so simple was an easy one after I read Evan’s article about calling cards. Most people I give this card to will throw it away but for those that hold onto it I wanted to direct them to one place, my website. If I put more info than that and it changes I only have to update my website. So keeping the calling card simple will make it relevant for that much longer, no reprints for me.
