after trying to get tickets for a oasis for years i finally got to go. and i wasnt let down at all, ok to be fair my seats were a bit far back, but apart from that oasis were great

absolutly amazing gig, the support acts were great, twisted wheel just keep getting better, im really glad oasis didnt hav the problems from the pervious nite, they were amazing, dont look back in anger sent shivers down my spine.

sad story - 5/5

I was supposed to go to this show with my brother and his girlfriend but we all got the flu and even though i still wanted to go they wouldn't take me. It was the worst day of my life :( but ive watched clips of it on youtube and it looks like it was amazing! of course its oasis!

FANTASTIC!!! - 4/5

my first show since 2001...frickin' rockin'...the new lp songs especially were all great!!! could have done with BAG IT UP and THE TURNING as well! but, otherwise, pretty fine song selection. NICE & LOUD night at MSG! and RYAN & MFC were SUPERB as always.

WOW!!!! - 5/5

This was the best gig EVER!!!!! Oasis were completely on top form and were total perfectionists on stage...every note was in place! These are the music geniuses of our time, the modern day Beatles! It was so excellent to see them! Would go again tonight if I had tickets! My boyfriend and I were standing right at the front, had the best view! Im surprised the plonker who threw the cup of water at Liam was still standing at the end of the night! What an arse! Was so sad to see Liam get annoyed about one plonker who was E'd off his head, he even finshed a song early and everything! Fair play to you Laim for finsihing the gig. Who throws water at the person you pay to see!!! Total idiot!
Oasis you were great, the best EVER!!!!

New energy new enthusiasm - Oasis are back! - 5/5

Last night was my 2nd Oasis gig ever, and I absolutely loved it. My first impression was that the energy and enthusiasm was back, far more than the DBTT tour from 2005.

The gig started with some dude whose name I did not know, but did a pretty good job with a bunch of acoustic tracks before Ryan Adams walked in with his band. Ryan Adams had some really good tunes, but his set felt as if it went on for ever, and by the end of it, I couldnt wait for him to leave. After all, we were here to see Oasis, and it had been almost 1hr 45 mins, and people around me were also getting a bit impatient. The stage for Ryan Adams was very simple and at the end they switched on a ton of LEDs at the back of the stage that looked as if there were thousands of stars behind him. Based on the Christmas lights Oasis had in 2005, I wasnt expecting anything at all from them either.

Oasis walked in to ****ing in the bushes as expected and looked cool as ever, and straight away got into Rock 'n roll star. Liam sounded really good in this one. Though he often pulls himself back before he can finish the words on many lines, he wasn't doing it as much last night, and was actually making the effort to complete them and have some melody. The stage completely blew me off my mind. I know the shows at the stadiums in the UK have screens behind them, but I do not recall having seen them at a US show. Last night, the screens behind were showing some very interesting graphics, separate for each song. The choreography of some of the videos shown at the back during songs like Lyla was very interesting to watch (It beat the heck out of "we love simplistic sets and we wont make any effort" attitude of the DBTT tour). The lights were also great. All in all the experience was really rocking. With a great set, awesome lighting, interesting videos, top tunes and a much improved Liam, Oasis seemed to have this vibe and energy about them that I did not expect and was blown away by.

You must have read the setlist by now, so I wont repeat it. Though they played it at the 150 fans gig a few days ago, I did not expect Slide Away. I had never heard the Masterplan or Supersonic before so they were great. Noel's acoustic version of DLBIA was excellent. he and Gem did a super cool job. The best part about the Masterplan and DLBIA acoustic versions was that they guitaring was so clear that you could hear every note, and the absence of the heavy sounding guitars meant that Noel's voice was not drowned out. That was my only complaint of the evening. Liam's voice was drowned out on some songs, since the guitars (especially the bass) were very very loud.

They ended the show with 'I am the Walrus' which to me was a clear indication of them being back to their old form. IATW is not an easy song to sing at the end of the night, but Liam did not show any signs of wearing away. He put a lot of effort into it and sounded great.

Liam and Noel werent talking too much to the crowd like some of the England gigs I've seen on youtube, but they werent too silent either. Liam said a few words now and then and kept talking and looking at some girls in the front rows. Noel spoke a bit before the songs he sang. Gem and Andy played really really well, but as expected did not say anything to the crowd. Chris the new drummer was excellent - for the first major show he was brilliant, especially his solo on TSOTL.

Oasis are back! It was a privilege to watch them at the start of this tour when the energy was right up there, they were raring to go and Liam was in top form (or at least as good as we might expect he can be, henceforth). My advice to everybody is: if you havent got tickets for this mini tour, pay the extra bucks on ebay and go watch them. DO NOT wait the summer gigs, these gigs are really really mega and worth every penny.

vodka and oasis! - 5/5

One of the best weekends ever! Plenty of vodka consumed and so close to the stage, venue a lot more intimate than Manchester City Stadium. The band on top form playing tracks from DBTT and back catalogue, superb!!

this was my first concert and it was amazing....couldnt believe i was gettin to see my idols live and with good close seats aswell..plus the two guys infront of us with the wacky backy helped alot!!!!! anyways the track listing was the best and as always Liam and Noels voice were on top form

The show was the best....great opening band...North Americans i think dont give Oasis the credit they deserve....i was sitting next to these couple and when they came back on for encore....they left....but other than that OASIS are the best band in the world and cant wait for them to come back on tour

Another top gig - 5/5

Another top show from the band.
Great gig from start to finish we had a little delay due to the barrier collapsing at the front of the stage so liam asked the ladies ta show us there "Tripinny Bits" which sure passed the time till the barrier was sorted.

Laim & Noel seemed ta have a disagrement about something but that didnt spoil the show one bit and the energy inside the stadium was top draw.

Here is ta the next time.

I've got the audio of this gig and the quality isn't great, but Liam's voice is phenomenal. This was also their first Canadaian gig as well.

Oasis in the dam - 5/5

My friend and I arrived in Amsterdam, got the hotel and legged it down to the Arena. We had to buy the tickets. It was all so casual that was no real office just some guy with small tickets on thin paper. We stupidly believed we would be buying the last tickets. We could not believe, no sweat, he had loads, this was it we had the tickets. We jumped around like idiots. The gig had about 100 people in the place. It wasn't crammed. I remember you could get a drink and come back to watch Oasis without getting through the general melee there befalls every concert nowadays. We got there early , some non-descript band opened but behind them we could see the spiral union flag. Anyway the moment, they came on, I remember their clothes they seemed so normal but the presense was there. No smiles. My mate and I were right near the front it was hard to get there, you could have touched Liam or Noel if you were crazy like that, but you could. They blew us away. I remember you could close your eyes and it was like listening to the record, they played a blinder. There was some American guy next to me shouting 'play supersonic, play supersonic'. I just remember the rocking sound with Noel and Liam no thrills attitude.

6.20.05 - UIC Pavillion Show (btw, no booze sucks!) - 5/5

Like I have since 1998, I make it my duty to haul my butt out to Chicago
whenever I hear Oasis are coming through. This year was no exception. Thanks to a great friend of mine (holaa michele! ;) ) I had a place to stay in the city since I came up Sunday night instead of Monday afternoon.

Anyhoo, we decided to head on up to the gig early since it was partly a GA show and I figured that the earlier we go, the better chance we have of getting into/near the front row. We left around 12ish for the Pavillion to see a decent line of people already up there. Great group of people, esp. the guys in front of us and behind us in line. I don't think I've ever laughed as much as the group of guys behind us did. You guys are awesome (if any of you are on these two lists). Now skip ahead about 6 hours to when the doors open. Michele gets in and books it down to the front and holds a space for me. I, on the other hand, have freakin ticket problems, but finally make it down to the front.
Eric, I noticed you said you were right in front of Noel, maybe a row back. From the sounds of it, you were probably right behind me. Nic Armstrong & The Thieves come on. Alright band, I was impressed. Then Jet,who I wasn't all that impressed with, but oh well. And then finally Oasis. To be completely honest, I only have one gripe about the show they gave Monday afternoon: it felt like the shortest gig of their's I've seen (I've seen them 7 times, including Monday, 8) Noel obviously looked grumpy for some reason or another (which I would find out about later), and Liam was in a extremely jovial mood. I made the mistake of yawning during one of the songs (this from being outside all day in the sun with only one bottled water). He then proceeds to ask me if i want a teddy bear & pillow. haha. Noel seemed like he could only really muster to make silly faces at either Michele or I (or someone else entirely) but I ended up making one back at him which I do believe got a giggle out of him. As for the whole flashing ordeal, I was so f***ing deaf at that point, I could hardly make out half of what Liam said the first time, other than deciphering "teddy bear" and "pillow".

Too soon, the gig was over. :( So then the two of us see Jason waving at us from the side of the stage. He points at both of us and makes the 2 sign. Awww shit.
We just got ourselves backstage passes. hah! So we go and meet him on the side of the stage after the show is over, and he gives us the passes. Walked around the pavillion for a bit (i needed something other than alcohol to drink) before we wandered over to the backstage bit. Finally, we make our way over there,along with a small group of people. Steve comes out and sections 10 of us off from the group and tells us to come back with him. We're lead into a somewhat tiny room, and in there are Liam, Gem, Zac, and some of the guys from Nic Armstrong's band, plus a DJ friend of Oasis' who was a really awesome guy. Liam immediately came up to me and asked me if I wanted a blanket and pillow so I could take a nap. I told him if he had one laying around at this very moment, I'd be more than willing to take him up on the offer. He got a good laugh out of that.
Sat around, drank a shitload (yay for free booze! ;) ) talked to a bunch of
people. Gem showed us a video of them in the hotel lobby in Italy when they were hangin out with Billy Idol. This, obviously, expanded on the story that Noel told onstage earlier. But it was even more hilarious to see the video of it.
Billy was rocking the hell out. And Gem was telling me (whilst showing this) that "all the papers were reporting that Liam and Noel were fighting at that very point in time." And then he pauses and says "this is why you dont believe the truth". el oh f***ing el. Also spent a good deal of time talking to him about solo McCartney albums. He asked me if I liked Elvis, I had to decline.
Party seemed to wind down from there. My friend wanted to leave, so we ended up leaving. Said goodbye to Phil (who I'd spent a good majority of the night
talking to about music, movies, etc), Gem (who ever so nicely gave me a kiss on the cheek and said that they hoped to see us again when they came back through in the fall). Liam had disappeared by this point, so I
didn't see him. Goodbye kisses from Jason as well. Went and hung out with the guys from The Thieves for a bit longer after the Oasis after party thing and then went back to our hotel. Great time. :)

ed note: I forgot to mention in the post why Noel wasn't backstage. He's been having stomach problems and just went straight to the hotel after the gig. He's supposed to get looked at when he gets in NYC. Poor guy :(

oasis at its peak of form the setlist is excellent all songs are performed nicely..surely they rock!
also they broke record with this performing with a quarter million people wow!

Brilliant performance by the band. A year later and I'm still buzzed by it. The Masterplan sounded amazing and they played Supersonic!!!! yes!!! As Noel said during the gig, "twice in the same tour, how f***ing mental is that?"

My first Oasis show - 4/5

I think this was a very good show, but there was a variety of things that made this a tad disappointing. I had bad seats, their were a bunch of idiots sitting behind me asking me for weed i did not have every 5 minutes or so, and my dad got a moving violation from some female cop having a power trip.

Ok so back to the show, it was good, the songs were solid. The crowd was into it for the most part. The newer tunes fell a little flat with a lot of people who I call the FOW fans (Fans of Wonderwall). It did seem like we had to wait forever for the boys to go on stage, which was disappointing.

Anyways, it was my first oasis show, but it wasn't the best one I've been to.
