The Obscurecast Ep 27: Wrath Retrospective

This week we cover our Wrath Retrospective. We discuss our own high points and low points of the previous expansion, as well as bringing in a few listener opinions as well. We also announce the winner of our Wrath ZBoard competition!

We also announce our plans for the next month. We’ll be ending Season One on Episode 29, just after Cataclysm. After that we’ll be taking a month off to enjoy Christmas and start putting plans together for Season Two. You can expect to hear from us again sometime in late January.

That’s not to say we’ll be off air completely – we might put out a quick 10-30 minute segment here or there, but it’ll mainly be about how we’re getting on with all the new shiny stuff!

The Obscurecast Ep 21: Good News!

On this week’s show we have a couple of big announcements! We unveil the Blizzcon special, “An Obscure All Things Blizzcon Weekend” in conjunction with Medros from All Things Azeroth. We’ll have more details soon on how you’ll be able to listen in live or catch up whenever it’s convenient.

In order to celebrate Blizzcon, we’ll be doing a series of competitions during the live shows. To kick it all off though, we have something special if you’re going to be attending Blizzcon in person! In order to make your weekend even more awesome, we’re giving away two tickets to the Curse Blizzcon VIP Party on the Friday night, just a few blocks from the convention centre. And getting hold of these tickets is very easy!

We’re having our own Meta-Clysm here on The Obscurecast. Firstly, Stu’s taking an break from the show for a while. Pewter’s gladly agreed to fill in for him, but she needs to work on her Deathwing impression some.

The Obscurecast Ep 12: Live Experiments

Apologies for the chaotic and somewhat disordered nature of this week’s Obscurecast, but we thought we’d try something new. You see, this time we decided to broadcast the show live on UStream at the same time. The results are… well… interesting. We’re not sure if it’s something we’ll do again, but we’ll wait on feedback.

The more astute of you will realise that it’s only been a few days since our last show. Why so soon? Well, last week’s was delayed because Gaz was taken to hospital. He’s fine now though, so everything’s back on track. We are looking at getting a regular show slot organised so that we’re not continually bouncing around people’s schedules.

Stu is back from Orlando, so we’re back to our regular format this week. Well, regular as you can be with a pair of chaotic reprobates such as ourselves at the helm! There’s a bumper pack of news this week for us to munch through.
