Have been digging this tune for a while. Was listening to “Thrust LP” by Herbie Hancock and remembered this great Labtekwon track that definitely a lot of folks simply just have to hear.

Some highly skilled MCing on a groovy-as-fuck sampled beat. Just like the old school. With a jazzy twist, though. Love it!

THE BLASSICS LP out and about!!!

The fresh funk-jazz-afro collective The Blassics led by guitarist/pianist Juha Sarkkola and trumpetist Tuure Tammi have released this great LP under their own label Odd Funk Records.

It’s an AAA record all the way thru since it was recorded, mixed and mastered on tape. It’s a hand numbered pressing of only 500 copies. The lucky ones own this smooth and crunchy record.
