7 Lessons We All Can Learn From a Dog…

According to this series of illustrations by artist Patrick Moberg, life would be much easier if we all took a few quick notes from the behavior of a dog. The artist says, "My family never had a dog when I was younger, so I don't know a whole lot about them, but recently there's been a couple running around the office I work out of. Here's a couple things I've picked up on." Lessons from a Dog is a collection of colorful illustrations that are paired with simple phrases like "Forgive friends who don't have time to play," and "When someone kindly prepares food for you, devour it smiling like it's the best meal you've ever eaten." Through the project, Moberg reminds his viewers not to take life too seriously, to be affectionate, to show interest in new people who come into our lives, and to appreciate simple, everyday moments like taking a nap. Everyone can learn a thing or two from the unconditional love that dogs give to their owners, and Moberg brings those to life through his seven clever illustrations.

Over the last twenty-four hours or so Abercrombie and Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries has come under fire thanks to new assertions from retail analyst and author Robin Lewis that Jeffries “doesn’t want larger people shopping in his store, he wants thin and beautiful people.” This has led to the internet digging up a less-than-flattering Salon article on Jeffries from 2006, where the sixty-plus year-old CEO of the apparel company seemingly hellbent on giving teenagers body dysmorphia says “dude” a lot and makes multiple rather non-PC statements on personal attractiveness. Oh, and did I mention that Jeffries looks like a sixty year-old guy trying to look like an Abercrombie model? Well, Reddit has certainly taken notice, and in a somewhat misguided (classic Reddit) attempt to right the wrongs perpetrated against less conventionally attractive retail shoppers everywhere, they want to point out to the world just what a weird-looking freak/hypocrite Mike Jeffries is.
