Dallas, TX – January 5, 2026 – Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly announces the establishment of the Department of Fraternal Growth and the appointment of Gabe Flores as the fraternity’s inaugural Vice President of Fraternal Growth.

“This is an exciting moment for our brotherhood as we continue evolving our national structure to meet the needs of our entities,” National President Gabe Hernandez said. “Our new VP of Fraternal Growth role will strengthen strategic expansion efforts to help the fraternity grow more effectively, ensuring sustainable growth while aligning with evolving fraternity and sorority life trends that emphasize leadership development, inclusion, and value-added experiences to higher education.”

Flores, a brother of the Alpha Lambda Chapter at Stephen F. Austin State University, joined Omega Delta Phi in 2019. Since then, he has held numerous leadership positions, including National Undergraduate Representative and East Texas Regional Director. He has remained deeply committed to advancing the mission of Omega Delta Phi and strengthening its foundation for future generations.

“This role and department represent an exciting new chapter for our fraternity,” Flores said. “Fraternal growth is about expanding into new horizons while promoting development within our active chapters, ensuring that our values continue to thrive for generations to come. Together, we are building a lasting legacy.”

Flores’ term as VP officially began in Fall 2025. Under his leadership, the Fraternal Growth team has already expanded the fraternity to four new institutions within the calendar year.

Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. extends its sincere appreciation to the following teams and individuals for their support in successfully establishing new entities in 2025:

Midwest Regional Board, Hector Cedeno, and Johny Cedeno – Carroll University (Spring)

Central Plains Regional Board, Xi Chapter (University of Oklahoma), and Lateef Ipaye – Wichita State University (Spring)

North Texas Regional Board, Juan Olmos, and Jay Hernandez – Tarleton State University (Fall)

Beta Tau Chapter (Portland State University) and Cheke Ayala – University of Oregon (Fall)

Fraternal Growth Consultants (FGC)

In addition, Flores will lead a team of Fraternal Growth Consultants (FGCs). FGCs are trained volunteers who serve as the fraternity’s on-the-ground support for new and emerging entities. FGCs assist with recruitment, organizational development, goal setting, leadership training, operational readiness, and early-stage mentorship. Their role is to provide hands-on guidance from day one, ensuring that each new campus begins with a strong foundation and a clear path to success. Meet the FGC Team:

Raymond Perez

Perez serves as the FGC for the University of California, Irvine, which began in 2025. He looks forward to supporting the establishment of a strong and sustainable presence on campus and helping build momentum for continued expansion in California.

Randy Amil- Director of Risk Pervention and Membership Wellness

Brother Randy Amil has been appointed as the Director of Risk Prevention and Membership Wellness. In this role, Brother Randy will lead strategic efforts to promote health, safety, and overall well-being across the Brotherhood.

Amil currently works with Disney Legal & Global Affairs in Florida, supporting Risk Management Services with insurable matters related to Walt Disney World® Resort. He previously ensured the health and safety of Guests at Disney Water Parks, beginning in 2022. A long-time contributor to Omega Delta Phi, Amil participated in multiple Disney programs and internships during his undergraduate years as an active brother. He now brings years of hospitality experience and professional insight to this national leadership role.

“As Omega Delta Phi approaches our 40th anniversary in 2027, it is more important than ever to lead the development of health, wellness, and prevention resources for our membership,” said Brother Amil. “With our recent partnership with MANUAL, my hope is that we become the fraternity of choice for men nationwide—and that it’s clear this administration genuinely cares about the individual needs of every brother.”

For more information about promoting the health, safety, and well-being across the Brotherhood, please reach out to Randy at director.wellness@omegadeltaphi.org.

Eric Jones – AVP of PQI: Belonging & Inclusion

Brother Eric Jones has been appointed to serve as the new AVP of PQI: Belonging & Inclusion. The primary objective of this position is to rejuvenate and reorganize the equity and inclusion initiatives within the brotherhood.

Currently, Eric serves as the Academic Region Chair for Central Plains, the National Director of Academic Affairs and Civic Engagement, and now, in this new role under PQI.

Eric is pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy in Education, with an anticipated completion year of 2026. Eric aspires to attain the position of Vice President of Student Affairs. In the future, he intends to expand his research concerning the sense of belonging, identity, and equity barriers faced by African American undergraduate males at predominantly white institutions (PWIs).

Professionally, Eric has accumulated several years of experience in Higher Education, gaining extensive expertise in student and leadership development, mentoring, judicial conduct, and college instruction. Eric is currently employed at Drake University in the Office of Residence Life, serving as the Assistant Director of Residence Life for the First-Year Experience.

“As I step into a role, my aim is to develop more sustainable and achievable DEI goals and to keep advocating for justice and supporting each other. This will help the fraternity evolve and grow. That’s why I am prepared to take on this responsibility and begin the process work”, said Brother Jones. “We have to remember that this work around belonging and inclusion will forever be an ongoing learning opportunity because we are exposed to updated language, approaches, and situations that are pertinent to the development of our brothers. We all have to be willing not to be afraid to ask questions, and it is okay not to know and say you are confused.”
