Mom Attacks Son at Work

When you think of the most embarassing things that could happen to you at work, the idea of your mom coming in and attacking you is probably not on that list. Of course, there could be a good reason for the mom attacking her kid, but apparently that’s not the case here as she did it after finding a hickey on her son.

After being punched and sat on at work by my own mother, I’m not so sure I could head into the office the next day. Apparently the kid has since moved in with his grandparents, so perhaps that also included a change in jobs.

File that under tough love.

Need a Job? Get a Boob Job

With the global recession hitting just about every industry, unemployment rates continue to see more and more people looking for a job. Well, when less people are hiring as more people are looking to be hired, people start trying anything to stay ahead of the competition. Plastic surgery seems to be one such tactic the job seekers are using.

While it may be against the law to discriminate against hiring somebody due to their age, many employers definitely take someone’s “visible” age into account. As such, I can definitely see why some people are going under the knife to try and keep that competitive edge. However, it does seem like a pretty big risk to gamble away many thousands of dollars to try and get a better payday down the line. Is paying $10,000 to look 10 years younger worth it? Will it really make that big a difference when looking for a job? I guess if you do have the savings in the bank to try it and are looking for a more higher end job then it could definitely pay off, but if you’re not going for a six figure plus pay check, then you’re probably better off using the savings as a safety net while searching for your next job.

Absurd Office Safety Stories

I’m actually lucky to have never had to go through any sort of office safety meetings. Perhaps the offices I’ve worked at have just been ahead of the curve when it comes to not walking into walls? Either way, that curve is apparently quite low when you read some of these hilarious office safety alerts.

What has this world come to when we have to send employees pamphlets warning about leaning back in chairs and sneezing while walking?

File that under sneezing and leaning back in your chair at the same time.

Bartender Stores Cash in Hot Oven

If your boss asks you to put £1,000 in a safe place, where would you put it? Maybe an onsite safe? A tucked away drawer? Perhaps just hiding it in a closet somewhere in a box temporarily? Well, bartender Luke Woolston decided an oven would be a great place to hide some cash. Unfortunately, that oven was still on and the money burned up.

I actually like how the boss didn’t make too big a deal about it considering the employee had worked there for a couple years without any problems. Of course, I’m sure the bartender wasn’t let off the hook without at least some sort of screaming.
