hello, friday! i know you are almost over, but here is a comic anyway!

sometimes the thing you are looking for is right in front of you. other times it might be right behind you. or off to the left or something. the point is, sometimes you are looking for something, and you do not know where to look for it, and that is okay, you really shouldn’t beat yourself up about it.

hello, wednesday, you old rascal!

this is a comic about not giving a shit. which is something i’m always working towards. it seems like life would be more pleasant if i cared a lot less about most things that bother me or cause me stress. if i want to wear a sombrero all the time, i should; other people have dumb opinions i should probably ignore. really, sometimes i wonder if my problems would largely dissipate if i didn’t try so hard to be a nice person. that’s it. my late resolution for 2013: be more of a dick. you may want to give me a wide berth.

hello, monday. where have you been?

here is a comic. it has been almost a year since the last one, and that sucks. i am not cool with that. i have been very busy, but i think i need to release some of the built up craig and dracula in my brain because the pressure is giving me a headache.

here is what i have been up to. forgive the simple web site. sometime soon i will get around to making it waycool and more like a website people would want to go to. but there is some free music you can download and smile to.

hello! this comic might be darker than expected, i cannot tell anymore. the next one will be lighter. it will either be about baking cookies or about aliens. i, too, am saddened that it cannot be both.

UPDATE FRIDAY 7/22: apologies for the lack of updates this week. turns out i did not have as much time to make comics for you as i thought i would. i will try to make it up to you by doing another long one like monday’s. hope all is well back in the real world. END UPDATE

oh, monday, if only you know what people were saying about you.

so i drew this comic on the airplane ride from san diego to honolulu. that is why it looks as messy as it does. the next couple comics i do while i am on this trip will not be as long, and probably not as messy.

i really wanted to write songs on the guitar and drink mai tais in the shade looking at the ocean, but i did not really want my guitar to be cracked and broken going through baggage. so this evening i bought a ukulele. i will let you know as the week progresses if i become ’super kick ass’ at it, or if i somehow do not for some reason. either way, the drinking will be accomplished with ease.

hope you are having a great monday i really do (no matter what anyone says). i will talk to you later, yes.

friday oh no what have you done!?

i am afraid of time and the implications of traveling through it (or more likely, around it). i certainly do not want to meet me from the future. i do not want to ruin the surprise. but if i know me, and i kind of do, there will not be much of a surprise anyway.

that is all, really. i have to go play the bass guitar in a country folk band in front of strangers and also some people i know. i hope i do not show up in the middle of it and try to kill me.

have a weekend free of the usual self-doubt and apprehension.

monday is not even wearing any pants!

i have not been to paris. i should probably get out that way one of these days. i did take french in high school and college, though. which has really come in handy living all these years right next to mexico. sure glad i did not take spanish like everyone else i knew. sure glad i have no idea what anybody is saying to me. makes it much easier not to care.

i am going on a trip next week. it is a business trip. but not for my business; i am just ‘tagging along.’ i am going to hawaii, which should be really awesome and sticky. i was thinking that i should do comics for next week so that i can post them ahead of time. but now i am wondering if that is what i should do. would you like to see normal comics that belie the fact that i am not actually around making them? would you like to see comics based on the dumb things i think while i am in hawaii? would you like to see some silly drawings by a friend of mine who is much weirder than i am? if anybody cares, reply to this post. if nobody cares, i might do one of each.

anyway, i hope monday does not murder you like it told me it is planning to do.
