here’s a one page comic i made about wonder woman for the women of wonder charity event. i actually wrote this a few years ago for fun but never finished drawing it. i found it laying around and thought it was worth redoing, so here it is.

this wasn’t originally intended to be a reaction to the portrayal of women in dc’s new 52 books, but i kind of like that it reads like one.

so i’ve been keeping a lid on this one for a while because it’s been a giant monster of a project and i wanted to wait until it was actually almost done before i revved up the ol’ hype machine (it’s been in the works all year), but dave’s killer bread will be premiering their new website soon and it’s going to be pretty much entirely hand-drawn by yours truly. it’s going to have a TON of new content and it should be a lot of fun for dkb fans to check out. look for a series of preview images in the coming weeks leading up to the sites launch, starting with this as-yet uncolored gif that serves as a footer for one of the pages.

i have a new project that’s going to be published online in the next few weeks and i thought i’d sneak peak you some images. the project is in collaboration with writer david axe and it will be running on cartoon movement, a really great website that features comics journalism projects from all over the world, including work by really great artists like sarah glidden and matt bors. david and i are running a story called boom! about david’s experience getting blown up by an ied explosive while reporting in afghanistan.

david and i are also trying to raise funding for another upcoming project about alvin greene, a democratic senatorial candidate from a few years back who was quite the spectacle. you can learn a lot more about it here .

there’s a great new comic book store in berkeley called fantastic comics. it’s where my old alma mater, comic relief, used to be. they were nice enough to ask me to draw a t-shirt for them! here’s the original drawing:

man, sometimes you just cant post on your blog. is anybody still reading this thing? well, here are some drawings i drew:

that one’s a portrait commission. next is a drawing i drew for a smithmag collection. they asked my old pal bill ayers to do an entry and he thought it would be fun if he and i did it as a revisitation to our book. it was pretty fun to draw these guys again after about a year or so.

well, i guess that’s enough drawings for now.
