The infant Christ nestles to Mary, and her hands embrace him – mother and child in loving affection. Her expression shows wide-open eyes, and an elevated, limited to the essential simplicity.
At the same time means Umilenie in Russian when beauty a feeling evokes that can not be simply translated with emotion. The meaning can be paraphrased with ecstasy, softening, grief and seduction while looking at something very beautiful, a picture or even just a young mother with her newborn.”

“The Confections Series started as a response to turning 30. It was a celebration of birthdays, cake, color, pattern and obsessive absurdity. My original intent was to bake 30 birthday cakes for myself and photograph them. I didn’t quite make it to 30 cakes in time for my first show, but I sure got a lot of ideas from those first cakes. When I started the project, I not only had to learn how to shoot in a studio setting, but also how to bake and decorate cakes. I ordered a cake decorating kit from Marthastewart.com and watched the included instructional video. When I quickly discovered my cakes were never going to look like the ones in the video and recipe booklet, I was free to make them as grotesque and amazing as possible— my little rebellion.
Four years later I am still making these crazy confections and still obsessing over color and pattern. This series is still commenting on my intense desire to strive for perfection and beauty, while embracing the absurdity of the results. Four years later, the industry of do-it-yourself divas is still going strong in television, magazines and books. It’s a fantasy world where entertaining, cooking and decorating unite. It’s a place where one needs to have a beautiful home, decorated seasonally, in order to entertain friends with gourmet meals and elaborately concocted desserts.”

Square Media alaturi de Epson Romania si de UNA Galeria va invita la MOSTRA – expozitia de lansare Digigraphie® – singurul certificat de calitate si autenticitate al fotografiei de arta.

Nicu Ilfoveanu, Bogdan Bordeianu, Vlad Petri, Bogdan Girbovan (featured on oitzarisme), Michele Bressan si Lucian Bran expun o selectie de lucrari in editii limitate, din serii in lucru, pentru prima data aratate public.

Lucrarea este numerotata si semnata de catre artist, stampilata de atelierul de productie si insotita de certificat de calitate. Alaturi de garantarea rezistentei culorilor si a suportului (conform testelor intre 60 si 100 de ani), se garanteaza si reproductibilitatea in conditii tehnice identice.

Prin atelierul Square Media, incepand din toamna 2009, acest program ajunge si in Romania, oferind astfel un suport tehnic profesionist discutiilor despre mestesugul imprimarii fotografiei de arta.

De ce avem nevoie de un certificat pentru fotografia de arta? Ce diferentiaza un print oarecare de imprimarea specifica a unei lucrari de arta? Am pornit de la aceste intrebari si am devenit laborator certificat Digigraphie®. Aceasta deoarece un atelier de productie a operei de arta sau chiar a reproducerii muzeale este mai mult decat un print shop. Este un spatiu de lucru, un loc al dialogului cu echipa grafica, al deciziilor tehnice ce vor determina obiectul final.
