Rooting AND UNLOCK TUTORIAL FOR bootloader NEXUS S I9020

You need
• DOWNLOAD Android 2.3 SDK
• DOWNLOAD PDAnet
• DOWNLOAD Clockwork Recovery Image (CHOOSE NEXUS S)
• DOWNLOAD Superuser
• DOWNLOAD USB Driver
1. Install Android SDK on the computer, run the SDK manager (there are options to install, choose install Google USB Driver).
(Available packages> Third party Add-ons> Google Inc.. Add-ons> Google Usb Driver package, revision 4)

2. connect the device to the computer using a data cable (auto installing drivers).

3. Rename Clockwork Recovery Image to recovery.img, then copy to the folder where you installed the SDK Tools earlier. (Example: C / Program Files (x86) -Android-android-sdk-windows/tools)

root unlock bootloader (all data will lost, backup first)

1. Turn off the Nexus

2. Go to bootloader (volume up + power)

3. Install PDAnet, choose samsung.

4. Go to command prompt

5. Type (c: /> cd / Program Files (x86) / Android / android-sdk-windows / tools)

6. Next type "fastboot oem unlock" (without quotation marks)

7. Will have the option unlock boot loader, select YES. (navigate up and down with volume keys, navigate the action with the power key) your data will lost.

8. If successful later in the bootloader, the words showing "lock state - Unlocked"

9. Turn on the nexus, then copy the root into the Nexus. turn off again.

10. Go to bootloader.

11. Back to the command prompt again, type c: /> cd / Program Files (x86) -Android-android-sdk-windows/tools

12. Then type "fastboot boot recovery.img" (without quotation marks)

13. Will go to CWM (orange color).

14. Buttons volume key for navigate up and down, select install zip from sdcard. (Action navigate using the power key), select choose zip from sdcard. select the superuser on the copy earlier.

15. Go back then reboot.

16. DONE.

Root (without unlock the bootloader)

1. Steps 1,2,3 above have been done.

2. Copy root into the Nexus, turn off. go into bootloader (volume up + power).

3. Install PDAnet, choose samsung.

4. Type a command prompt again, type c: /> cd / Program Files (x86) / Android / android-sdk-windows / tools

5. Type "fastboot boot recovery.img (without the quotes)

6. Will go to CWM (orange color).

7. Buttons volume key for navigate up and down, select install zip from sdcard. (Action navigate using the power key), select choose zip from sdcard. select a superuser who copied earlier.

8. Go back then reboot

9. DONE.

UNROOT

fastboot oem lock then erase / reset factory setting.
