Last year, I had major issues with sleeping. I knew that I had restless leg syndrome because I had the creepy crawlies in my legs at night. But I just couldn’t fall sleep even when my RLS wasn’t acting up. I went to my regular family doctor who then referred me to a sleep specialist. The sleep specialist suggested that I have a sleep done.

He put me on a new medication called Rozerem. I had never heard of Rozerem before but after leaving the office, he gave me a handout that explained all about the medication.

Rozerem is a sleep medication that assists your sleep cycle get back on track if you have trouble sleeping. I have a history of prescription drug abuse and Rozerem was not habit forming, which was a plus for me. There are also no withdrawal symptoms associated with stopping Rozerem. The pill is taken one hour before bedtime with water. My physician told me that as soon as I took it, I would have to lie down and not to do anything else. Also is recommended that you not eat a high fat meal after taking it because it will be harder for your body to absorb it.

There are some side effects with Rozerem although I did not experience any side effects whatsoever. But the side effects may include downiness, dizziness, hallucinations and loss of sexual internet.

So what was my experience with Rozerem? I took it the first night and it took only about 20 minutes before I started getting sleepy. I slept through the night without waking up and got about 7 ½ hours of sleep. Before taking Rozerem, I was up about three or four times and slept about five hours but it was interrupted sleep. I didn’t feel groggy the next morning like I did with other sleep medications.

Choosing a surgeon in LASIK is easier to find that other types of surgeries. You want to take the time to locate a professional because an inexperienced one can leave you with a bad eye procedure. There are some important things that you should look for.

You can contact your state licensing board to confirm the credentials of any surgeon. You can also check the credentials via the National Practitioner Data Bank. You should also be certain that the doctor is board certified. They should be recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties which means the person is certified to work in their field. The American Board of Ophthamology has their members keep up to date on current trends and go through specialized training.

Referrals are the best way to find a LASIK surgeon. You can obtain recommendations though your regular eye doctor. You can also get recommendations from friends and family who have been through laser eye surgery.

When you have a couple names on your list, schedule an appointment for a consultation. You want to write down questions you may have ahead of time so you don’t forget them and you can make the most of the appointment. Some of the things you want to know is how many laser eye surgeries they have performed, where they procedure will take place, what risks are involved and if their billing department goes over the costs with you.

You want to choose someone that is close to home. Even though your best friend suggests someone who is outside your area, if complications exist, you may need ongoing attention so you want to avoid long distance travel.

Choosing a wedding DJ means weeding through hundreds of wedding disc jockeys. Choosing a disc jockey is a crucial part of the union process. Many couples will choose a disc jockey over a band because not only is a band more expensive but a disc jockey will entertain and interact with the crowd.

You essentially should get referral from family and friends who were married in recent years as to who they used as their disc jockey, if they used one. You can also ask the reception place you will have your reception for some recommendations as they work with various union vendors. You not only want names but you want opinions as well.

You will learn that each disc jockey will have a different personality than the one you interviewed before. You should talk to about four or five disc jockeys. You want to see videos of the work they do at weddings.

You do not want to base your decision entirely on this since many disc jockeys use computer software which can make them appear better than they really are. But you get a great idea of what he does to interact with guests.

You should be prepared with question for each disk jockey. It is important they are familiar with the place where your reception will take place. If they have done unions there in the past, they know the staff and the in and outs of the venue. Ask about how they handle overtime as well as other fees they may include in a quoted price.

Many of us don’t think about paying special to our feet. But foot care is extremely important.

One important tip is not to go barefoot in locker rooms at the beach or gym. You are putting your feet in danger for getting athlete’s foot or plantar warts.

If you have cracked heels, you need to treat them right away. After taking a shower, use a pumice stone on the heels of your feet. File the heel in one direction until the heel is smooth. Then apply hydrating lotion on your feet and wear socks.

Tired and worn feet need a massage just as our bodies do. A foot massage will help to lessen feet tension and helps to reduce tired feet. Many spas offer foot massages as part of their services. A foot massage normally consists of a massage and foot scrub.

When cutting your toenails, be sure that you clip straight across. This is crucial to avoid in-grown toenails. Clip straight across and be sure the corners of the toenails are not too short. You need to be able to get your fingernail underneath your toenail.

Wearing properly fitting shoes is crucial for your feet. Your feet change sizes over time so be sure to have your feet measured when you are purchasing shoes. You should have your feet measured at the end of the day when your feet are at their largest. Many people have one foot that is larger than the other slightly so keep this in mind too.

These tips will help ensure your feet are healthy and sexy-looking all year.

Pregnancy is a gift and brings joy to many people. Waiting to find out whether or not you are pregnant can be gut wrenching and also exciting. Pregnancy brings on a whole new way to think and view life as well as a new eating pattern and many different physical and emotional changes. Waiting for a positive pregnancy test and then verification from the doctor can’t come soon enough and there are some common early pregnancy symptoms that you may or may not be experiencing. These symptoms are quite common signs of early pregnancy although they are not always indications that you may be pregnant.

Morning sickness, also referred to as nausea, is a common early pregnancy symptom. Many women experience this feeling and can be heightened by scents and also the sight of food and other items. These symptoms subside by second trimester but sometimes occur later or last longer.

Headaches are another common pregnancy symptom and can be experienced any time throughout the day. The headaches can range from light to severe and are generally annoying but not debilitating. Headaches are caused by all of the hormones circulating around and may subside but can last until delivery.

Fatigue is another common early pregnancy symptom. As your body prepares for the new baby and is getting used to the hormonal changes you may feel sleepy more often and notice you tire more quickly throughout the day.

A missed period and also breast tenderness are some more early pregnancy symptoms. If you think you may be pregnant then it is important to remember to seek prenatal care and also keep yourself hydrated. These pregnancy symptoms are common in most pregnant women but not all.

High blood pressure, also referred to as hypertension, is a common problem in many adults. High blood pressure can lead to many problems and it is advised that you lower your blood pressure when possible. There are some natural ways to help reduce hypertension without the use of medications.

Sodium

Lowering your salt and sodium intake will help lower your blood pressure. Eat a diet that is lower in sodium and you will see a significant difference. Salt will help retain water and also other fluids in your body which causes high blood pressure.

Walking

Going out for a few walks during the week will help lower your blood pressure as well. You do not have to run but walking at a fast pace around the block a couple of times a week will greatly help. Cardio is a great way to improve your overall health.

Lowered Caffeine

Reducing your intake of caffeinated beverages such as coffee and soda will also help with hypertension. Caffeinated drinks contain sodium and also sugars which will raise your blood pressure if consumed in large amounts.

Stress

Reduce your stressors. Stressors in your life may be things such as dirty dishes, doing laundry, work, or extra running around after work. These stressors help raise your pressure and minimizing them will help you lower your pressure. You can ask someone to help you out or maybe work less.

These tips will help you lower your blood pressure naturally and also help improve your health overall. Follow these tips and get back to having a happy and healthy you.

Acne is sometimes the root of embarrassment for many teenagers and also adults. Acne can be prevented by taking a few simple steps to prevent it. Acne is defined as being an infected or inflamed subcutaneous gland. This results in pimples which can occur on the face or other body parts such as the back and chest. Following these tips will help you prevent acne from reoccurring and also keep it away.

Wash

Make sure to keep your face clean at all times. If you start to feel oil building up or your face feels heavy then wash it off with warm water and a mild soap. It is important to wash your face a minimum of twice a day to prevent the buildup of dirt in the pores and also dead skin cells.

Moisturize

Moisturize your face with a quality moisturizer that provides vitamins and moisture to your pores. Do not use a moisturizer that will clog your pores but one that will help prevent dryness and replenish the skin.

Makeup

Try to minimize your use of make up as this is one of the most popular causes for acne. The makeup clogs the pores and does not let them breathe. If you do want to wear makeup then try to avoid layering it on and use something that is light on your skin and will not clog such as thick foundations.

Following these simple steps will help you prevent acne on your face and keep your complexion clear. You should also avoid touching your face too often and you can use an over the counter product that contains benzoyl peroxide. Practice better facial care and watch your acne start to clear up.

Eye care is an important part of our lives and all too often we look past it. Our eyesight is important for us to be able to see the world around us and also help identify things. If you fail to take care of your eyes, you could damage them or even lessen your vision resulting in lower vision quality or even loss of vision.

Eating certain foods will help improve and also maintain the health of your eyes. Foods that are rich in omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E and C, and also zinc will help improve your eyes. These minerals and nutrients will help keep the health of your eyes up. You can eat foods such as tuna, salmon, beans, oranges, spinach, kale, and also eggs.

Smoking can actually make your eye sight worse and it is advised that you stop smoking to prevent vision loss and also problems. Smoking increases the risk of nerve damage, cataracts, and also macular degeneration.

Protecting your eyes from the sun’s rays is also beneficial for proper eye care. The UV exposure to your eyes can cause you to get macular degeneration and also cataracts. You should pick out sunglasses that have a 99%-100% UVA and UVB ray protection and remember to wear them whenever you are out, especially during the middle of the day when the sun is at its optimum height.

Eye care is important to maintaining the health of your eyes and also improving eyes that are starting to suffer from improper care. If you stare at a computer a lot make sure you are taking breaks and looking away from the computer every 20 minutes or so. Following simple eye care will help keep your eyes safe from accelerated decline in health.
