A rose by any other name is not a rose…so there!
The first chapter of the Gospel of John refers to Jesus as the Word, Who was with God in the beginning sent down to earth. That’s why I believe Jesus was sent here to unify us into a one people, fulfilling God’s promise of unification to Abraham and preparing the way for his second coming. And He summed it up beautifully when he told us that the second commandment is like unto the first – that we unequivocally love our neighbor.

Jesus also said he came to fulfill every Holy Scripture by giving those of us who believe in God, regardless of faith, the power to withstand Satan and prepare the way for his return. Therefore, if I were Satan, my offensive game plan would include subtlety sneaking man-made verses into our holiest scriptures and influencing misinterpretations of the meanings of those I did not change. Sadly, today the responsibility for the correct interpretation of the true Scriptures is often lost in the doings of the services and the blind faith of the followers. After all, denominations in every major faith are created by multiple interpretations of the same words. The way to correct today’s misinterpretations is for each religious leader to take on a responsibility for being right that is born out of the commandments God gave Jesus to give us.

Clinically speaking, to be right one must do their homework. One must consider what they already know about the historical cause-and-effect consequences of previous occurrences as they relate to the subject. By taking the time to either learn, or experience historical data, one at least is being responsible. The relevance of these requirements has to do with teaching our children how to face the realities of life. Therefore, being right is a responsibility essential to preventing children from developing criminal tendencies, race hatred, and other negative societal tendencies. A strong sense of right and wrong teaches our children to deal with root causes that include accepting personal responsibility when they are wrong.
The best way to explain what I call “the responsibility of being right”, comes from an axiom I try to be aware of at all times that in the absence of truth, anything I want to believe becomes the truth-to me! In other words, if I do not allow anyone to be right unless they have my permission, then no one is right but me and I don’t have to change if I don’t want to…..so there.

Maybe it’s just me but I believe that the primary cause of all divisionary forces that divide human beings is as simple as misconceptions in our minds as the only determinant of right and wrong. The cure for this disease begins with better education and communication than what is taking place now. Aren’t we supposed to be living by ‘What would Jesus do?’

I believe the leaders of every faith should practice being responsibly right. If they do, we can create a lasting peace through brotherly love by just eliminating religious rituals and traditions in favor of doctrine. But in order to make it last, there would have to be an understanding that the objective of the responsibility of being right is to improve communications between all of us. If religious could leaders want to achieve genuine responsibility to be right about what they say and do, they need to understand up front that they will lose many of their followers – which is also why less than one percent would even consider it. If one is self centered and egotistical, it is good to have a following, so the last thing they would want is for us to become one people, one world, living in one accord with one another. My religion is ChrisMusHinBudd. The reason you have not heard of it is because I just invented the name. I am hoping it will catch on and become as well known as the other names coined by those before me. In each case, the members of these other religions worship a singularly powerful entity they refer to as God, Allah or other name. And that is precisely why there is no such thing as religion: there is the one true God of all.

I chose to follow the teachings of Jesus because the things he said are common to every religion. This is the reason I contend that there is no such thing as religion. Faith…yes, religion…no! The theological dogma or tenets that religions hold to be true incorporate the most basic things Jesus said every one of us ought to be doing. Among these are feed the hungry, clothe the naked, suffer the children to learn to love their neighbor as they love themselves and so on. The power and passion of this kind of expression of love for one’s fellow human beings is ripe for charismatic and ambitious leaders to exploit. That’s why there are denominations in every major faith.

I pray that this message can open the eyes of the leaders of the world as well as the rank and file citizenry of every nation on the face of the earth. I pray that rituals and traditions will no longer be used as religious doctrine to separate us from one another. I pray that the vicious hateful acts of men led by self-serving despots such as the leaders of the Muslim terror groups and Christian hate groups are seen for what they are; ignorant men who worship personal power at the expense of innocent human life.

But regarding Christianity, O God, how long do we have to endure ministers who preach prosperity for their pockets at the expense of the true words spoken by Jesus? How long must we endure those who have come to power among the Muslims by rewriting the words written down by Mohammad? How long must we endure the belief that there is something holy in immersing someone in water to wash away their sins, or marching around a tower? How long before people come to realize that there is no priest given authority to bring the prayers and petitions of the people to God? How can a man kill another while he is praying to God because he is a ‘this’ and the man praying is a ‘that’? Is this not what is happening in the world today? Has a Catholic killed a Protestant? Has a Sunni killed a Shia or a Kurd? Oh God, who among us humans will hear me?

I pray that everyone who reads this message will join me in 2010 to unite as we have never united before. I pray that we may learn to turn our faces to the sky and ask our common God to grant us the strength to become one people in one world in one accord before Him. I ask in God’s Holy name, who have I offended by asking? What faith do these words offend that ask us to join our hearts and our prayers to the same God as one human family?

The cure for this disease begins with better education and communication than what is taking place now. All we have to do is live by ‘do our actions prove we love our neighbor?’

That’s what I think He was trying to tell us when He said the second commandment is “like unto the first” therefore, there is no such thing as religion. There is just faith in God. Our individual rituals and traditions were added by men saying they received divine revelations.

If I were Satan, my offensive game plan would include subtlety sneaking man-made interpretations into our holiest scriptures. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn’t the very existence of denominations in every major faith imply there are multiple interpretations of the same words? So, if we are mired in pastoral interpretations and the adoration of buildings and services, aren’t we taking God’s blessings for granted or are we secretly waiting for real scientific –type proof?

I am one of those apparent dummies who persist in believing that the major religions have the power to create peace and brotherly love without changing their basic scriptures. But…if they actually did that, a lot of heavies will fear losing what they have. There is little chance of consolidating the simple worship of God through loving our neighbor as we love ourselves because there may be no leaders that will do it. They want us to remain divided through names and denominations because the alternative is to get a job. Comment: There is much commonality between the Bible, the Koran and the Torah. It is the rituals and traditions created by men that divide them. That is the tragedy of every life lost among martyrs who would unite us!

Because I said so…That’s why…!

Imagine a head of state stating bluntly that the very, very well documented Holocaust of WWII never really happened. That is like living in America and denying that there were slaves, or that masters did not beat them. Alas, such is the state of the world that it is hard to find leaders anywhere that are committed to their countrymen even before themselves because they took an oath of office in which they declared they would be. Well once again, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Holocaust was made up so Jews could take over Palestine. He did this in observance of a national day of recognition of the plight of the Palestinians at the hands of the Israelis.

This is not a blog against President Ahmadinejad. It is a blog against the leaders of every nation in which the leaders of that government maintains their power by creating a climate of fear among the citizens (President Ahmadinejad, Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, in Iran, and Saddam Hussein in Iraq, to name a few). They all have one thing in common, they ruled countries in which what they personally stood for was a minority view in their own countries. It has always been that way in every Theocracy (autocracy) in the history of the world. Even Christianity has its murderers although one rarely hears commentary about them. I am referring to the those righteous men who burned human beings at a stake to prove that Jesus is stronger than Satan and those brave Christians who murdered doctors who performed abortions to prove that God doesn’t like them to do that. Comment: Does President Ahmadinejad know that everyone else in the world knows that the Nazis murdered millions of Jews, Gypsies and others? Does he Gypsies were murdered by Nazis or that this too is a lie?

He seems to suffer from the same disease the “birthers” and “deathers” suffer from. This blog is an appeal to every member of every religion on earth to end the history of divisiveness of petty differences in religions. Human beings have committed genocide against unbelievers ever since one people discovered their neighbor believed something they did not. This blog is an appeal to worshipers of every faith to reconsider what they have been told is sacred about their faith compared to others. This blog is an appeal to everyone to raise their faces heavenward and cry out in a loud voice, “There is one God of human beings and that God desires that we become one people in one world, in one accord with one another”. Everything else is mere divisiveness. This blog is an appeal for us to reject the divisive notions that we have to be baptized, march around a tower, pray five time a day, and all the other things that prevent us from being one people, one world, in one accord. What d’ya mean healthcare doesn’t work, what’s wrong with it?

As you read this, someone is dying for the worst of all reasons, they do not have health insurance! If it takes you 13 minutes to read this, someone has already died because every 12 minutes a human being dies in the United States because they do not have health care. The insurance companies are spending millions of
dollars betting the average American citizen does not care. So they pay people (who have insurance) to disrupt meetings. They pay conservative Republican politicians to do everything in their power to cause a fair health insurance plan fail because they are afraid of losing the profits they take in. Do the math. At a rate of a person every 12 minutes almost 45,000 will die. That is more people than drunken driving accidents and homicides combined! Add to that, people under 64 years of age have a 40% higher risk of death than those with coverage. Is this America? We are talking a staggering 46 million people
without health insurance.

One would think that the above news is bad enough. But it actually gets worse. I believe the healthcare insurance industry is a malevolent monopoly. An insurance spokesman recently stated that other industries have higher profits than insurance companies. Not surprisingly, he did not address the fact that insurance policies and base rates are almost the same across the country. In other words, there is little or no competition among them. Some insurance companies even insure nearly 90% of the residents of certain states. Sherman called that a monopoly.

In a fascinating article written by Tiffany Stanley, she noted that Pastor Wiley Drake stated that he asked God to kill President Obama in answer to an imprecatory prayer like those in the Bible, which ask God to do bad things to evil people like the Philistines – such as take away their cablevision, swallow them up in an earthquake, make them watch Keith Olberman and other horrific things like that. It is written that we and our leaders should beware of practicing piety in any way in order to be esteemed by others. Therefore, when we pray, we must not do so as hypocrites who love to pray in churches, temples and synagogues to impress those around them.
