Travel used to be sooooo easy. Pack a bag, run through security, get on the plane, go. Now, with kids and heightened security measures and paying for luggage (are you kidding me?) heading to Florida to visit the grandparents gives me heart palpitations. Our family's crazy, I know. We always take the 6 am flight because it's very rarely delayed and it's usually not overcrowded. This means my kids sleep in their clothes and arrive at Grandma & Grandpa's house in time for breakfast. One of these days, my children are going to realize that most planes don't depart in the middle of the night. My daughter is 5 so she's easy to schlep. But my lil dude is only 3, and still requires a carseat to keep him contained on the plane. How annoying it used to be to have to carry that thing and watch him, and watch her and hold my Starbucks on the way to the gate. Now...we use the gogo Babyz Travelmate. Strap the carseat onto the Travelmate, strap the kid into the carseat. Away we go! Do not check in online without making sure you have one of these items! Gogo Kidz makes traveling with toddlers a breeze with the gogo Kidz Travelmate. The gogo Kidz Travelmate is a convenient and safe attachment for a variety of convertible/toddler car seats. Instead of carrying your car seat and child through an airport, they can now be wheeled through a crowd! The gogo Kidz Travelmate is easily mounted or removed and it allows one hand to be free. It features 5 razor wheels and telescopic handle, and weighs 5 lbs. The quick release wheels provide extra clearance for storage and smaller x-ray machines. And get this, today we are offering the NEWEST MODEL. Even EASIER than before, if that's possible. Now, with the latest updates, the gogo Kidz Travekmate is even more convenient! A new, ratcheting, quick-release strap makes allows the Travelmate to be attached and removed from car seats in just seconds! Plus the strap stays attached to the gogo Kidz plate so there are no loose parts! * Easy to attach and remove * Lightweight: weighs only 5 lbs * Compact: 5 deep, 17 wide, 28 high * Telescoping handle with four positions * Sturdy, soft 5" quick release razor wheels for easy removal * Attaches to most car seats * For babies and children up to 50 lbs. The gogo Kidz Travelmate was awarded the prestigious 2006 JPMA Innovation Award. The gogo Kidz Travelmate is a proud winner of the iParenting Media Award for Greatest Products of 2006. The gogo Kidz Travelmate won Best Product of the Year 2006 from Fit Pregnancy. The gogo Kidz Travelmate was also presented with the Preemie Cool Stuff Award. Please note, carseat not included. Remember, today is Fabulous Friday. Have a great weekend. We'll see you Monday.

I was watching a call-in segment of a foodnetwork show once and someone asked how long you can keep olive oil in your pantry. The answer was, "If you have to ask, you aren't using it enough!" Then I stumbled upon Old Town Oil. A new venture, run by four brothers, who are committed to bringing consumers delicious oils and vinegars fresh from small batch producers, artisans and estates who place quality and tradition above all else. Now, I find myself making my own salad dressings, seasoning entrees, and just serving it up with appetizers. There is never a bottle to spare. And the combinations are endless. Looking for a flavorful olive oil? Today we are featuring the Frantoioi Extra Virgin Olive Oil - just in from Italy. The Traditional 18-Year Balsamic Vinegar, also from Italy, is just delicious. Or... if you are looking for a different kind of flavor, try one of Old Town's featured flavors: Fig or Pomegranate Balsamics. These outstanding Balsamic Vinegars and Extra Virgin Olive Oils can be used as a condiment to top off a dish before serving, or as a special treat on salads. Try a few drops in soups, stews, on grilled and roasted meats, and on chicken and fish. It is especially delicious when drizzled on sliced strawberries and other fresh fruit and serves as a much healthier and tastier alternative to sugary sauces on desserts. Select your balsamic and receive it as a set with the Frantoiol Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You'll never buy that large, generic grocery store oil and vinegar again. All bottles are 375 mL.

"I was born in a small town and I can breathe in a small town...." These words in one of my favorite John Cougar Mellencamp songs resonates with me. I'm from Louisville, KY - born & raised. I grew up just south of where Mellencamp grew up in Indiana, his hometown that he sings about so thoughtfully. I left years ago for college in Florida (Go Gators) and then big-city life in both Chicago and Manhattan. My husband and I chose to settle back in my hometown when we planned to have a family. But now that I've lived in more "exciting" places, I can't let go of my love of nice things. Ok ok, so maybe I'm a bit brand-conscious. Can't help it. Just yesterday I updated my Facebook status with the news that our local Costco was carrying Sevens. But it seems everyone - everywhere - is getting into going green. One of my favorite luxury brands, Hayden Harnett (who we give kudos to for developing a line for Target so that all people, everywhere, can be in style), created this great tote. It's perfect for groceries, kids' "stuff," picnics, you name it. As Jacki wrote in today's email newsletter*, Elaine Irwin-Mellencamp is pictured here wearing today's goodie - but she didn't get it at the Today's Goodie price. So be like other celebs. Don't just go green - but do it with style! Please note shipping to Canada for this goodie costs an additional $10. *Not getting the daily newsletter? Make sure to sign up (top right corner) and add "notify@todaysgoodie.com" to your address book.
