noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Sun, 07 Aug 2011 23:41:00 +0000

Emma got a new toy this weekend...a huge tent with a tunnel!

She loves it!

Pulling up and taking steps

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Tue, 02 Aug 2011 20:27:00 +0000

The other day, Emma and Mommy were in the living room playing.

Mommy turned around and she she looked back, Emma was standing!

She also started taking steps with her dinosaur!

Such concentration!

We've got a tooth

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Mon, 01 Aug 2011 20:19:00 +0000

Finally, just a couple days shy of 13 months, Emma's first tooth popped through!

The other day, I caught her chewing on the coffee table!

Now, if you ask her where her tooth is, she points and sticks her finger in her mouth!

It's Party Time

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Sun, 26 Jun 2011 06:11:00 +0000

All our friends and family came!

We had some yummy muffins and cupcakes. Emma even had her own little birthday cake!

She wasn't too sure about everyone standing around her singing Happy Birthday!

First bite of cake!

Not too sure about this stuff!

Maybe I will try a little bit more!

Just grab a big handful...

And shove it in!

Now I think I will just play with it

oooh! presents!

Time for the water!

Almost 1 year old

Cars

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Wed, 01 Jun 2011 03:35:00 +0000

After a busy weekend visiting family, we started our 10 hour trip back home.

About an hour and a half into the trip, we came across a drive-in theater that was advertising the upcoming movie, Cars 2.

It was the cutest thing!

Toe Mater

(Don't worry, Dad was back there holding her up on the car!)

Doc

The tractor that was "tractor-tipped" in the field!

And the little fork-lift, Guido!
(They didn't have the little Fiat, Luigi)

(and again, we didn't let her sit up on the tire by herself. Dad is holding her up!)

And then there was the firetruck, Red. He is red in the movie (hints the name Red!)

but he is still super cute yellow!

Mack the truck!

We had such a fun time looking at all of the different characters!

I cannot wait for her to get old enough to see the movie and realize how cool these pictures actually are!!

Now back on the road!

Getting ready for bed

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Thu, 26 May 2011 22:36:00 +0000

Shoes!

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Thu, 26 May 2011 19:19:00 +0000

Emma loves shoes!!

She has started trying to put shoes on herself (and me!)

Emma's "New Trick"

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Thu, 19 May 2011 15:15:00 +0000

Aunt Coco is always asking me what "new tricks" Emma has learned.

"Courtney, my daughter is not a dog."

But it still gives us a good laugh.

She is still not crawling.

She prefers more of a twist and scoot method of getting around!

Supporting Daddy

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Wed, 11 May 2011 03:50:00 +0000

We are off supporting Daddy on another bike ride!

This time it is 100 miles in 1 day! Eek!!

We loaded up and headed to Austin with our friends, the Spencer Family.

(I'm a bad phototog. I didn't get any pictures of Jeff, Jen, or Baby Rylee)

We stayed overnight ~~at a roach motel~~ in Austin. In the morning, as the guys headed out on their bikes, the girls loaded up in the car and headed for the finish line in Shiner, Texas!

Yay Daddy!!

They were absolutely worn out. It was hot, and they ran out of water. But they made it!!

Zoo

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Thu, 05 May 2011 22:06:00 +0000

She loves to wave!

Her favorite was the elephants!

Blue Bell Ice Cream

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Tue, 03 May 2011 02:16:00 +0000

Today we took a tour of the Blue Bell factory in Brenham, Texas.

Our friends, the Shaffer Family, were visiting from Wyoming, so we got to spend some time with then while they were in town.

Horse Ride

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Sat, 30 Apr 2011 21:56:00 +0000

Today we went to a friend's birthday party

Theme: Cowboy!

Main Attraction: (well, besides the birthday boy) Horses!

She was very fascinated by the horses!

She loved it!

Playing at the Park

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Fri, 29 Apr 2011 22:15:00 +0000

We took a little break from our walk this morning to stop by the park

We played on the steps

(she's not able to pull up or climb, but she is able to stand all by her wobbly self!)

We slid down the slide

and we swung!

That was definitely a favorite!

**All of these pictures were taken with my iPhone, so I apologize for the poor quality. I think I will be taking my camera on walks from now on!

Waking-Up-Happy!

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Thu, 28 Apr 2011 21:02:00 +0000

So, we are finally in the Waking-Up-Happy stage!!

Maybe you don't understand, or just don't remember...but I am so loving it!!
Walking in and seeing this face is the highlight of my day!

I love hearing the sweet sounds over the baby monitor...giggles and squeals as she plays with her toys and entertains herself.

I love that I can go in to Emma's room, and she greets me with a smile instead of tears.

I love this little face!!

She is growing up so fast...I am loving every minute of it!

Easter

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Mon, 25 Apr 2011 03:06:00 +0000

This was Emma's first Easter

We spent the day together, just our little family.

It was fun and relaxing, but we missed the rest of the family.

Nana bought Emma is beautiful dress to wear for Easter Sunday

It was an absolutely beautiful day

Hunting Eggs

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Mon, 25 Apr 2011 02:23:00 +0000

Supporting Our Riders

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Thu, 21 Apr 2011 18:44:00 +0000

This weekend Ryan, along with Russ, completed the MS 150:
a 150 mile bike ride from Houston to Austin. They did amazing.

(Not my picture. This was taken my the pros that were photographing all of the riders)

We drove to La Grange with the Hennig Family

We were able to see them finish up Day 1

Jenson and Emma were fascinated by all of the riders going by!

We even made signs to show our support!

Half way done!!

On Day 2, Emma and Mommy drove to Austin to watch the guys cross the finish line.

This is them riding in to the finish line. Thanks to Rider 8218 for getting in front of Ryan and messing up my picture.

I was able to get a nice picture of their backs as they rode past me.

They are exhausted but they did it

So proud!

Work in Progress

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Wed, 30 Mar 2011 20:43:00 +0000

I am currently going through all of our pictures and posting them so we can share them with you.

But I have 9 months of pictures, and it will take me a while. Please bear with me!

I will be posting pictures starting with oldest to newest, so keep checking back!!

Baby Food Fun

noreply@blogger.com (Lindsey) — Sun, 27 Mar 2011 06:06:00 +0000

Emma loves her food

As soon as you put her in her highchair, she looks up at you with these excited, eager little eyes

She is starting to understand what the word "eat" means. So even before we get to the highchair, she is excited and ready for some food

She definitely knows how to make a mundane thing like eating exciting every time
