Before they took there first look at one another.

Lauryn makes her way over to her fiance. Tears already free falling.

Nick counts to ten before turning around. It seems like FOREVER and a DAY I’m sure.

A kiss and many more tears…of JOY. Sheer joy. It was such a beautiful serious of happy moments.

My favorite shot. I love the look on each of their faces. It’s passion, happiness, love and joy all rolled into one look. They held this look for what seemed like an eternity.

He looks at her with the kindest loving expressions.

I’m so curious how many times these two kissed on just this one day together…

Gotta love some black & white classic photographs of all this sweetness.

They are gorgeous and so perfect for one another.

I loved the setting. Lauryn’s bouquet really popped with the greenery & trees as the background.

So adorable!

Jessica was a natural in front of the camera and I couldn’t keep myself from taking more and more shots of her. She is gorgeous! She is also a powerhouse of many other great things. I could go on and on about each of them…but I would rather show off her fabulous pictures! I don’t have any particular favorites since each of them are unique and captivating to me.

Many more to come in Part Two of this outdoor senior session.

I think this shot would make the most glorious wall canvas. Just sayin’.

She did some amazing planning when it came to stylizing for her session! Love this dress & hat.

We had to incorporate her doggies into the shoot because they are so special to her. They also photograph well. Must run in the family!

Now…they have a tiny little son named Colt together. Patrick contacted me to set up a surprise maternity session for Lizeth before the holidays. I think it was such a thoughtful gift to give a first time mother…especially because it came complete with all of the planning taken care of by her husband. Patrick came up with the theme using the same theme as he knew was going to be used at the baby shower and in Colt’s nursery. The country western theme fit this outdoor setting very well. Patrick picked out the entire wardrobe for this session and presented Lizeth with it just hours before the shoot took place. I can’t think of a more special gift. The memories of waiting for baby Colt to arrive will be treasured for years to come. I hope these photos document the joy and love they shared while waiting for their precious miracle to be born.

Damaris has an eye for gorgeous fashion with an edgy flare. She also happens to be the brains behind the sweet inspirational wedding blog Le Magnifique that I like to stalk regularly. You can find it on facebook too.

Naomi couldn’t look more fearless…more stunning or beautiful. She glows under the golden sun rays that fell on us that afternoon. These are my favorite shots of her.

Playtime for Matthew. We let him take as many breaks for playtime as he wanted. It’s the only way to have a toddler stay happy during a photo shoot.

And…we even had time for a few fun mommy & daddy shots! After all….it’s LOVE like this that is at the heart of every family.

Easy Crockpot Potato Soup

Recipe via http://pearls-handcuffs-happyhour.blogspot.com/2011/03/outback-aint-got-nothin-on-me.html

1 30oz. bag of frozen, shredded hash browns {I used Ore Ida}

3 14oz. cans of chicken broth

1 can of cream of chicken soup

1/2 cup onion, chopped

1/4 tsp. ground pepper

1 pkg. cream cheese {don’t use fat free.  It WON’T melt!!!}

In a crockpot, combine everything EXCEPT for the cream cheese.  Cook for 6-8 hours on low heat.  About 1 hour before serving, add cream cheese and keep heated until thoroughly melted.  Serve with cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, green onions, or whatever else you think would be good!!

My Additions (add to crock pot before slow cooking)

Add 1 bay leaf (remove before adding cream cheese to the soup)

Add 1 teaspoon season salt

Add 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Add 1 dash of cayenne pepper

I must say…before you add the cream cheese to this soup it looks like a big watery mess. I never knew one block of cream cheese could transform a dish into something so thick & creamy. But it did. So…if you’re thinking the soup isn’t going to turn out when you open the lid on your slow cooker after 6 hours or so…don’t give up on it. The final texture of the soup is perfect. Not too thick but just right.

I could have spent days upon days photographing her…or simply just holding her for that matter. She is darling and I can’t wait to watch this little sweetheart grow over the years. I’ve taken photos of her cute sister Lily before and know that these two are going to have much fun in the future together. How exciting for mom & dad to have two adorable daughter’s to spoil with love?!

My absolute favorite! So sweet it makes my heart melt.

We had to get a few family shots. Everybody is so happy about this new addition to the family.

She is so tiny…even this little stocking I handmade was too big for her.
