The Polymer Arts was created to provide the polymer clay artist, as well as enthusiasts, collectors, and galleries, the kind of information that will encourage innovation and support of the art world’s youngest and most versatile medium. The amount paid will be based on the scope, depth, writing quality.

Rug Hooking magazine

Rug Hooking readers are passionate about rug hooking, and they value informative articles about the craft and the people involved in the field. Features vary in length from 1800 words to 3200 words, depending on the topic. RHM has several regular departments, focusing on techniques, projects, and people. Payment varies.

PieceWork Magazine

Turkey Country magazine

Turkey Country is he flagship publication of the NWTF, and goes to all of its adult members. Turkey Country is divided into six sections, each with specific content for our readers. Features run 1,000 to 1,200 words and range $350 to $550 in payment.

Young Disciple magazine

Young Disciple magazine is a weekly publication dedicated to the preparation of young people for heaven. The target age group is roughly grades 5-8. We recognize that these youth are at an age where many important decisions will be made, and we want to point them to Christ and to His eternal principles. Remuneration will be according to quality, need, detail, skill, timeliness, and other considerations.

Zymurgy magazine

Zymurgy is the Journal of the American Homebrewers Association. It is published six times a year. Feature articles are typically closely matched to the established themes for each issue (generally established each summer for the following calendar year) and are generally homebrewing related. Fees for articles vary.

Country Woman magazine

Country Woman is a 68-page, full-color, bimonthly magazine for women who live in or long for the country. It is a positive, upbeat, entertaining and informative publication. If we publish your material, we will send you a complimentary copy of the issue and any payment mentioned in the original solicitation upon publication, or at our normal contributor’s rates.

What we need are stories that are brand new in scope and content. Knives being used for unusual purposes, in adventure settings, etc., are always good. We pay $150 for shorter stories, $250 for profiles and $300 for feature stories.

Visual Arts News

Although our focus is mainly Nova Scotian art and artists, we also accept stories about Atlantic Canadian, national and international art events that we believe are of interest to our readership. Features (1,000-3,000 words), exhibition reviews (500-750 words) and artist profiles (500-1,500 words) are the most popular stories we accept. Writer's fees range from $100 to $150 per article.

Reformed Perspective magazine

Reformed Perspective is published 11 times a year and is sent out to 2000 subscribers around the world. These subscribers are almost all from a conservative Reformed background and include members of the Canadian Reformed, United Reformed, and Australian Free Reformed churches as well as many others. It is aimed at a broad age group encompassing the entire family. For articles from 800-2000 words the honorarium ranges from $30 - $55.

Fly Fusion magazine

Fly Fusion Magazine is Canada’s most widely read fly-fishing magazine and one of the most relevant publications on the market for the angling community. Feature articles should be approximately 3000 – 3500 words. We pay up to $400.00 CAD for features.

Abilities Magazine

ABILITIES is Canada's foremost cross-disability lifestyle magazine. Honoraria range from $50 to $325, depending on the length and complexity of the article. Finished articles, unless otherwise specified, should range from 500 to 2,000 words.

Routes magazine

Routes pays writers competitively within the professional magazine industry. Rates may vary depending on the experience of the writer and the difficulty of the assignment. Some stories are paid by the word (typically around 50 cents a word) and some departments and features have set rates.

Avenue magazine

Avenue is a full-spectrum city and lifestyle magazine that takes an insightful look at how our community is evolving, keeps abreast of key movers and shakers and offers survival- guide advice to living here well. Stories published in Avenue must have a strong relevance to our Edmonton readership, and should offer a unique perspective on the topic. Stories run 500 to 2,000 words. Fees vary by assignment.

Our Times magazine

"Working for a Living" is the name of Our Times' ongoing series of short stories about work, by people from across Canada. LENGTH: 2,000 words or less. PAYMENT: We'll pay you $100 if your story is accepted for publication.

We strive to produce a stimulating fusion of fiction, poetry, photography and graphic illustration from uprising Canadian, U.S. & International writers and artists. Payment rates for published submissions: Poetry: $25 per poem. Prose: $25 per page. Illustration & photography: Varies, usually $25 to $100.

Today's Parent Baby & Toddler

Today's Parent Baby & Toddler runs features of varying lengths in each issue, with a balance between the practical and the philosophical, covering child care and development, breastfeeding, the parenting experience, consumer information, and resources for families. All articles should be grounded in the reality of Canadian family life. Word length and fees vary depending on the complexity of the story –– usually 1,000 to 2,500 words, $700 to $2,000.

Geographic Travel magazine

We publish Canadian Geographic six times a year and Canadian Geographic Travel four times a year, and that means we only buy about 30 feature stories a year. Each of those stories represents a considerable investment for us in photography, cartography and the work of the handling editor.
