<p>I must be naive. A great big company like Bloomberg writing such a fluff piece on why employees return to a previous employee. Perhaps the phenomenon in Australia is very different from the USA, but that is unlikely.</p>
<p>In my experience the article ignores the major reason for employees boomeranging. Companies want employees of their books in the liabilities column and retrench regularly and keenly. They then hire those employees back, after a nominal period, as contractors making it a &#8216;cost of doing business&#8217;.</p>
