Getting married abroad is a fun, exciting and very special thing to do. And Cyprus is the perfect place to get married.

So what’s the reality? If you’ve been to Cyprus before, you’ll know about the island and everything it has to offer.

If you haven’t it’s a truly beautiful place that's easy to get to from the UK with friendly people and lots and lots of sunshine.

Hello, Hilary here. I've just looked out the window - it is a lovely sunny day and I was wondering whether there were any brides out there interested in a date that their future husbands will remember! Well, just this time next year is a significant date - 12.12.12 - and it's a Wednesday. Added to that, flights at this time of year are much cheaper so getting all your guests here for a little late winter sun could be good for all!

Whilst some hotels in Paphos do close in the winter, I have all the contacts to find the best accommodation and its availabiity, just for you!

One of the subjects that keeps coming up is the cost of Weddings in Paphos and Cyprus generally.

It's not that getting married in Paphos is expensive in comparson with the UK, it's all the surprises that happen when you get here.

Cried On Her Wedding Day

Sometimes, things don't work out the way you want. This is a story of a Bride who cried on her Wedding day because her flowers weren't what she wanted.

She'd worked with us to get the majority of what she wanted, but based on advice she'd read on a forum she decided to arrange her own flowers direct with a florist in Paphos.

Sure enough, the flowers were delivered on time. But they were awful.

Trash the Dress!

And after all of the salon visits, fittings, and alterations, it's no wonder that many brides opt to preserve their gown after the wedding day.

But some brides are taking a decidedly different approach: They're wearing their wedding dress once more in a much less careful manner for a fun photo shoot, known as "trashing the dress".
