Newly released video that was edited out of the episode now gives a clearer picture of why Cochran might have flipped. What do you think, is his flip still as treacherous if he was promised a final four spot?

Jason sold Sookie's house ... to Eric. Bill is the new King of Louisiana. Lafayette and Jesus have joined a coven of witches, who managed to revive a parrot. Jason got shoved in an ice box. Sam has started a shape-shifter support group. Oh and by the way, Tara is a lesbian who's run off to live in New Orleans.

Marnie

Watch out, spoilers ahead!

Is someone lickin' my head? - Jason
Jason wakes up tied to an unsanitary looking bed. Timbo is licking the wound on Jason's head as another of the Hotshot kids looks on. Suddenly, Felton bursts into the room and waves his shotgun in Jason's face.

This is no way to treat your new landlord. - Eric
Eric chases Sookie down the stairs and Sookie demands that he leave, but Eric owns the house now and implies that he wants to own Sookie too. He offers to protect Sookie from the other vampires, saying that he cares about her.

And what do you think's gonna happen when I do come to grips with it? Do you think my legs are just gonna magically open for you? - Sookie

For a couple seconds at most, but it was spectacular. - Katarina
Bill is in his new office with one of the girls from the coven, Katarina. She explains to him that they managed to revive the parrot and he says that it's too dangerous for her to spy for him anymore.

Welcome to vampire night life ... post Russell Edgington. - Pam
Pam is watching the protestors outside of Fangtasia as they chant “Steve Newlin’s right you’re devils of the night." Jessica and Hoyt come outside and Hoyt screams at the protestors. One of the protestors is recording them with his phone, so Pam and Jessica can't do anything when Hoyt gets into a fight with one of the protestors.

Technology has taken all the fun out of being a vampire. - Pam

I was watching you, ya know. - Sam
Sam catches up with Luna after a run in the form of horses. Sam comes on to Luna, but when they get close to kissing, Luna shifts into the form of a horse and runs off.

King ... King Bill? - Sookie
Sookie goes to see Bill at his new mansion, but is stopped by the security team as they tell her that nobody who isn't on the manifest gets to see the king. Bill is inside having sex with Katarina, whose blood he just drank. After confirming her identity, Sookie is allowed in and she walks in on Bill and Katarina getting dressed. Bill awkwardly tells Sookie that Katarina is part of his security.

Black magic? - Jesus
Jesus thinks reviving the bird was cool, but Lafayette thinks that it's black magic. Jesus tells him that he doesn't believe in black magic, and that it all depends on the practitioner. If the practitioner's soul is black, it's black magic; and if the practitioner's soul is light, it's white magic. Jesus tells Lafayette not to worry, because he knows that his soul is light.

I did not want to come here tonight, but I'm scared and I don't want to be his. - Sookie
Sookie tells Bill that she doesn't want to belong to Eric. She tries to convince him to force Eric to sell her back the house, but Bill says that he doesn't have the power to do that. Sookie asks Bill how he became kind, but then decides that she doesn't want to know and leaves.

Another pint mate? - Punk bartender

Punk Bill

There's a flashback of when Bill was posing as a punk rocker in London in 1982. He convinces the male bartender to have a drink with him and takes him outside to drink his blood and then glamors him to make him forget. Nan shows up and asks why Bill doesn't kill his prey, he replies that "they might be dinner, but they don’t deserve to die." Nan tells him of a future where vampires are main stream and about the scientists, including Louis Pasteur, working on synthetic blood. She says that they need vampires to infiltrate the monarchies. Nan asks Bill if he's in or out.

I just wanted to say I'm sorry. - Sookie
Sookie is working at Merlotte's and apologizes to Sam when he comes in for making him worry. She also promises to tell him where she went when it's safe for her to do so. Terry and Arlene come in with the baby because they couldn't find a sitter. Sookie casually says that the baby is an old soul and Arlene gets unreasonably angry and walks off. Terry attributes the outburst to a lack of sleep.

Get rid of him, I don't care how. - Felton
Andy shows up in Hotshot and Felton tells Timbo to get rid of him. Crystal comes to see Jason hopped up on V, rips a piece of his shirt off and stuffs it in his mouth to keep him quiet. She says she has a plan so that they can be together, but if the cop hears, it'll be ruined. Jason yells out and Timbo tells Andy it's a couple of old dogs fighting. Then Crystal holds a knife to Jason's throat to shut him up. Felton sees that Andy is on V withdraw and has an elderly Hotshot resident give Andy a bottle of V, Andy spews off something about putting it in evidence and leaves.

Ain't you supposed to be in school? - Sam
Sam goes into his office to find Luna sitting in one of the chairs. He says that if he had had a teacher like her he might of made it past the 9th grade. She says that she wants to open up to him. They kiss passionately and she asks if he's coming out tonight. He says he is and walks her out. Tommy is sitting in the dinning area and says that his friend smells pretty, asking who she is. Sam tells Tommy to smell his own friends.

And had I known this chair was so difficult to seduce you from I would have waited for you standing. - Luna

You're rotten to the core, just like your daddy was. - Arlene
Terry is talking about watching a movie after work with Arlene. Arlene is staring at the baby when her eye goes bloodshot. She immediately blames it on the baby and says that it's rotten to the core. After Arlene storms off, Terry comforts the baby and tells it that neither he nor the baby are rotten.

I thought you were dead. - Tara
Sookie comes home and Tara comes running to surprise her, but Sookie sees the evil fairies and drops her groceries. Tara tells Sookie that she's been in New Orleans; and Sookie tells Tara that she's been on business for Bill, but that they aren't back together. They pick up the groceries and go inside to catch up. Eric has had the door fixed, it has a note on it that says "Out with the old ..." and on the table in the kitchen they find a microwave with a note on it that says "... In with the new. You like?" Sookie insists that she doesn't like it. Tara questions Sookie, guessing that the gifts are from Bill, but Sookie tells her that they're from Eric. Sookie tells Tara that she isn't with Eric, but Eric bought her house while she was away. Sookie finds a container of blood in the refrigerator, which she pours out.

Psychopathic frat boy ... - Sookie

It's Bon Temps Sook, ain't like I expected a red fuckin' carpet. - Tara
Sookie apologizes for the homecoming Tara is having and Tara says that she didn't expect a red carpet. They decide to eat ice cream and Sookie goes to find blankets. In the living room she finds a new armoire, which she decides to keep, but when she opens it she discovers that it's a cubby for Eric.

Well, I've melted all the fruits and vegetables we have in the place. - Hoyt
Hoyt is holding frozen vegetable to his head. He tells Jessica that he feels stupid. He says that he's melted all the fruits and vegetables and now has to tough out his swollen eye. Jessica offers to feed him her blood, saying that living with a vampire has perks, but he says he doesn't need any of that "shit". Jessica is offended that he called her blood shit and takes his keys, claiming that she is going to get him some Advil. Instead of driving towards the Bon Temps town center to get Advil, she drives to Shreveport to go to Fangtasia instead.

That's the calming influence of that asian pussy at work. - Lafayette
Tara surprises Lafayette and Jesus right as they're leaving. She asks if they're going to a gay thing and when Lafayette says a Wiccan thing, she asks if he's serious. Lafayette asks if she's going or not and she decides she might as well.

Thank you for coming. - Bill
Eric comes to see Bill at Bill's request. Bill asks if Eric will sell Sookie's house to either her or Bill, but Eric refuses. Bill tells Eric about the coven in town, and how they're necromancers. Bill orders Eric to handle them himself, reminding Eric that if they can control the dead, the can control vampires. Eric promises to handle it tonight.

Now go clean yourself up ... you're covered in queen. - Nan
Bill has another flashback, this time of his fight with Queen Sophie Ann. When she throws him back, humans armed with guns with wooden bullets and silver cores come in and he orders them to shot her. Queen Sophie Ann explodes and Nan comes in. It turns out Nan was behind the team of human gunmen. Nan comments that this seems personal to Bill and Bill says that he was sent to investigate Sookie, but there is nothing special about her. Nan appoints Bill king, while also saying that if Bill is lying about Sookie, the same thing that happened to Queen Sophie Ann will happen to him.

Did I miss somethin'? Are we girls now? Did we join a book club and read some queer chick-lit memoir so now we’re bonded together by estrogen or sisterhood or some other feminist drivel? - Pam

I don't do book clubs. - Sookie
Sookie is in an office at Fangtasia, trying to convince Pam to persuade Eric to sell Sookie back her house. Pam tells Sookie that she shouldn't have expected her to side with Sookie. Pam advises her to reconsider Eric's offer because if she doesn't belong to somebody, she won't exist at all. Pam tells Sookie that Eric really cares for her in his own way. Sookie says that she will never be Eric's puppet and Pam says that's a shame because Eric "pulls good string". Sookie says that she'll wait for Eric to return to Fangtasia. Jessica arrives at Fangtasia and finds the guy that hit on her the last time she was there.

What we accomplished last night was ... remarkable. - Holly
The witch coven is meeting again, excited about resurrecting the bird. The members ask what they're going to bring back next and Marnie tells them a person. Some of the witches are appalled by the idea, but some accept it. Tara decides that she'll wait outside.

What's the most fucked up thing I ever shifted into? - Susanne
The shifters are out again and are talking about the most unusual thing they've ever shifted into. Luna confesses that she once shifted into her mother, who died giving birth to her, explaining that she heard legends of the "skin walkers" growing up. Skin walkers can shift into any animal, including humans, but they must kill another shifter in their family in order to be able to do so. They hear another shifter and Sam chases down Tommy.

Everyone here is completely insane. - Tara
Tara is outside the witch coven, waiting for Lafayette and Jesus, and calls Naomi to tell her she misses her. Inside, Lafayette asks where they are going to find a dead body to resurrect and Eric arrives, as if on cue.

What are you doing here? - Sookie
Jason takes the fang banger to the bathroom and feeds on him. Sookie is also in the bathroom, and hears them. When Sookie calls out Jessica's name, Jessica comes out of the stall. Sookie asks if Hoyt knows about this and Jessica says she can eat who she wants. Jessica tells Sookie to stop acting like her stepmother, especially after how she treated Bill, saying that Bill still mourned her and still does. Sookie storms out of Fangtasia, telling the protestors outside to make up a new chant, before getting into her car.

What happened to your limp? - Sam
Sam discovers that Tommy is faking his injury and Tommy realizes that Sam isn't in anger management. Tommy confesses that he'd like to have a relationship with Sam, but Sam laughs because neither one trusts the other. They both hear the other shifters coming, and Tommy runs off.

I'm told your leader's name is Marnie. - Eric
Eric asks which witch is Marnie, and she admits that she is the leader of the coven. He says that this will be their last meeting and he will know if they try to meet behind his back. Marnie asks whats in it for her, Eric says that it's not a negotiation and Lafayette tells Marnie that Eric tends to get his way. Marnie has everyone join hands, but Eric grabs her, asking why she couldn't of just taken the deal. He starts feeding on her, but Tara returns and grabs a stake to save Marnie. Eric releases Marnie and grabs Tara instead, Holly takes over for Marnie with a chant and Lafayette joins in when he sees that Tara is in trouble. Wind starts blowing in the room and all the candles go out. Marnie gets up and starts her own chant and Eric looks around confused and runs out of the door. Marnie then asks what happened, like she wasn't even there.

Eric lost

We gonna make a baby. - Felton
Jason tells Felton that if he is going to kill him that he should just do it now. Crystal says that they aren't going to kill him and that instead they're going to make a baby. Crystal tells Jason that Felton is shooting blanks, but Felton says they aren't sure, but that it isn't working. Crystal says that they have to turn Jason into a were-panther first, to make sure that they make a panther baby. Jason begs them not to, but both change and start biting Jason.

You know me! - Sookie
Sookie is driving home alone and sees Eric wandering down the road. She pulls up beside him, but he doesn't recognize her. Sookie tells him that he knows her, but he denies it and instead asks her why she smells so good.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

TV's Best Musical Episodes, Ever!

With Glee now a world-wide hit, musicals are experiencing a surge in popularity. However, Glee was most certainly not the first major TV show to feature the cast singing and dancing, in fact many very famous shows have musical episodes of their own.

Of course, musical episodes are exceptionally hit-or-miss (the recent Grey's Anatomy musical is a prime example of a big fat miss). Not all actors can sing or dance and explaining why the entire cast of a long-running show are suddenly performing intricately choreographed dance routines can be a struggle. It's fair to say that bad musical episodes are truly cringeworthy but good ones are something special indeed. Let's look at five of the best:

Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Once More With Feeling

A show where the lead character spends most of her time killing monsters and saving her friends from villainous kidnappers doesn't seem like the likeliest candidate for a musical episode, but Buffy's is the best one.

In it, a snappily-dressed demon is accidentally summoned and under his influence all of Sunnydale begins dancing and revealing their innermost thoughts through song. The episode was series creator Joss Whedon's first attempt at writing a musical and he took six months to write the script and score.

Alyson Hannigan (Willow) was so nervous about singing in the episode that a voice double was almost hired to sing her part. In the end, she found her confidence and sang, but vowed never to do it again.

Best bit: Anya singing about the evil of bunny rabbits.

Scrubs - My Musical

With its silly humour and frequently surreal stories, Scrubs is a far more logical choice for a musical episode than Buffy. Their episode, entitled My Musical, was an ambitious affair, aiming to be at least a bit medically accurate yet still keeping with the Scubs modus operandi of funny episodes with a strong message.

When some of the Scrubs' writers were handed medical journals dealing with musical hallucinations brought on by brain aneurisms they knew they had the perfect way to write their own musical. Following the findings of the journals, the plot follows a woman who has a massive aneurism, she perceives herself and everyone around her as singing, when in fact they are not. Along the way she learns an important lesson, in traditional Scrubs style.

It should come as little surprise that this particular musical was such a success; the Scrubs team took no chances and brought in the Avenue Q writing team of Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez as well as Broadway orchestrator Doug Besterman to ensure that they kept fans happy.

Best bit: Turk and JD's song, Guy Love.

Xena: Warrior Princess - The Bitter Suite

To those who look back on 1990s television with fondness, Xena: Warrior Princess is very much a guilty pleasure. It was camp, cheesy historical fantasy that never took itself too seriously and heavily featured a scantily clad woman beating up baddies; what's not to like?

In The Bitter Suite, Xena and her will-they-won't-they sidekick Gabrielle are transported to a magical land after Xena tries to kill Gabrielle because Gabrielle's daughter murdered Xena's son (told you it was cheesy). They travel through the aforementioned magical kingdom, facing the issues that drove them apart and finally coming to the realization that they are, in fact, super best friends.

Despite the truly monumental cheese factor, The Bitter Suite was nominated for two Emmys, possibly because several of the characters singing voices were overdubbed with those of Broadway stars.

Best bit: Hate Is The Star, the episode's campiest song (which sounds suspiciously like Kill The Beast from Beauty and the Beast).

Rugrats - Music

Technically, adults aren't really supposed to watch Nickelodeon but on days like sick days and rainy Sundays it's nice to regress and enjoy a few episodes of Spongebob, Real Monsters, or Rugrats. For heart-warming animated cuteness, Rugrats' musical episode can't be beat.

The shortest episode on this list, Music sees Angelica and the babies perform classics including Toyland and Pack Up Your Troubles against elaborate imagined backdrops. It's a kids' show so the plot doesn't really go much deeper than that, but the nostalgia value more than makes up for it.

Although the plot's a little bit thin on the ground, Music will transport you back to the sofa at your parent's house, enjoying a bit of Nick before dinner some time in the 1990s.

Best bit: Angelica's rendition of Toyland.

South Park - Elementary School Musical

South Park isn't high-brow viewing, but sometimes parodies and fart jokes are just what the doctor ordered, especially when they poke fun at High School Musical.

Elementary School Musical sees singing and dancing suddenly become cool thanks to a new kid, Bridon Gueermo. The boys resist the new fad, refuse to watch High School Musical, and are made outcasts as a result. Meanwhile, Bridon is trying to convince his family to let him quit singing and take up basketball in a direct reversal of High School Musical's plot. Eventually the boys relent, watch High School Musical, and learn to sing just in time for the fad to end.

While not as clever as the Scrubs musical episode, not as cheesy as the Xena one, and nowhere near as good as Buffy's effort, the South Park musical episode is a funny, albeit juvenile, musical.

Best bit: The unashamed send up of the HSM franchise, Do What You Wanna Do.

While some reality shows such as Deadliest Catch or Ice Road Truckers are educational to a certain point and marginally interesting, the other reality offerings on television are simply horrifying. Here are my picks for the three worst offenders.

Jersey Shore

First of all, local residents have been complaining for years that cast members do not actually live on the Jersey Shore. A quick Google search reveals that Snooki graduated from Marlboro High School in Marlboro, NY, JWoww is from Franklin Square, NY, and Vinny graduated from the University of New York at New Paltz. While lots of people live in Jersey and commute to New York City to work, this is not the case. These folks are New Yorkers and have no problem embarrassing the real inhabitants of the Jersey Shore for profit.

Secondly, the use of the word 'Guido' and 'Guidette' and the huge over-exaggeration of Italian-American stereotypes is simply appalling. There are hundreds of ethnic slurs that are simply not used in polite conversation, let alone on television. One slur is not somehow 'less bad' than another. This show isn't just low-brow and vapid, it's offensive.

American Idol

While some contest shows such as Dancing with the Stars focus on the positive and couch their criticisms tactfully, the first nine seasons of Idol featured downright-rude Brit Simon Cowell. Perhaps I am simply a sensitive person, but what is the point of making people cry for no good reason? "No, thank you" is better than "you suck!" The trio of Stephen Tyler, Randy Jackson, and Jennifer Lopez are far more gentle and equally effective, but the damage is done.

To make matters worse, asking people from the general public to shriek out a song a capella is simply torturous. Even successful recording artists sound horrendous under these conditions. I'm expected to watch it? Watching the auditions is on-par with slamming your hand in a door repeatedly. I'd rather listen to my wife sing in the shower. She's better at it than these 'hopefuls'.

Teen Mom

I remember when MTV used to play music videos. Now, they are glorifying teen pregnancy. Young girls watch this show and see it glamorized. Headlines of sick 'pregnancy pacts' have been published since the show's predecessor, 16 and Pregnant, hit the airways in summer of 2009. There is also a Teen Mom 2. Do we really need three series showing pregnant children? What about the girls who die from birth complications, lose their babies, or suffer other tragic ends? Yeah, MTV doesn't show that part. This show is voyeurism at its worst.

Reality TV isn't known for being the classiest or most cerebral genre, but these three series are beyond the pale. If you have young children, make sure all three Teen Moms and Jersey Shore are blocked from your television. If you're a music lover, avoid Idol or suffer the consequences. According to Nicholas Johnson, all television is educational television. The question is: what is it teaching?

Matthew Warren works for Gump Tees, a nerd-centric t-shirt site. Themes include science, space, movies, math and more.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Doctor Who: The Impossible Astronaut

The sixth season premier of Doctor Who is almost upon us, and that means more adventures featuring the Doctor, Amy Pond and Amy's new husband Rory. Doctor Who returns to the air tonight with a simultaneous broadcast of Doctor Who in the United States and United Kingdom, with hopes of drawing especial high ratings in the United States.

The Impossible Astronaut, the season premiere episode of series 6 (in the UK, TV show seasons are referred to as series), finds Matt Smith‘s titular time traveler journeying back to 1969 America. It promises to introduce the Silence as a species, building on references from series 5 as the Doctor battles an extraterrestrial menace with help from Amy Pond (Karen Gillan), Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill), River Song (Alex Kingston), an ex-FBI agent (Mark Sheppard from Battestar Galactica) and, of course, President Richard Nixon.

And BBC American has reason to be hopeful when it comes to this season's premier. The season five premiere, the first Matt Smith/Karen Gillan episode, set a high for BBC America with 1.2 million viewers and BBC America has high hopes to beat this record using this season premier's American setting to snag more American viewers.

The season premiere of "Doctor Who" airs Saturday, April 23, at 9 PM Eastern on BBC America.
If you're up for making a tasty, BBC approved drink for enjoying with tonight's episode, here's the recipe for the Sonic Screwdrivers:

Sonic Screwdrivers

Ingredients:
Makes 6 – PREP 5 minutes plus chilling

3 ripe peaches, peeled, stoned and pureed

4-5 cups lemonade

Few mint leaves

Few handfuls of ice

Method:

Chill the juices, peach puree and lemonade for at least 1-2 hours before serving.

Divide ice and mint leaves between glasses. Mix the juice and puree together and pour over the ice. Carefully top with the lemonade.

The episode revolved around "The Finder" who can, you guessed it, find anything. The episode was all a part of Fox's efforts to create a spin off series of Bones. A spin off makes sense for Fox, Bones has always had consistent ratings and if that translates into even half as high viewership for a spin off, Fox will be quite content. Show pilots for Fox haven't been doing well recently (except for Glee), even the critically acclaimed and heavily advertised Lone Star was canceled at the beginning of this season after just two low rated episodes.

The Finder

Geoff Stults, last seen on ABC’s flop Happy Town, played Walter. Walter Sherman, adapted from “The Locator” novels by Richard Greener (The Finder in the Bones universe), is a former military policeman who served with Booth in Iraq and who Booth would rather avoid, but when an investigation into a murder in the Everglades revolves around a lost treasure map, Booth knows that Walter is the only man who can find the map and the killer. The result however, was a mess of plotting; the integration of Booth and Brennan was shaky at best and the mystery was all too easily solved.

The idea of the show isn't bad, I could watch a procedural about people finding things, but this was a Bones episode and attempting to put these too groups together was a mess.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

On TV Tonight: Sunday April 3, 2011

Here are my live notes:

In the bar, Josh once again lets his nerves keep him from standing up for himself.

I'm not sure why Sally freaked out so much at being "one of them", sorry but you kind of are.

Does anyone else think it's creepy that Aiden is letting this little boy come home with him? Dangerous too, Aiden hasn't learned to completely control himself.

Nora likes making Josh uncomfortable a little too much, "I do love to watch you squirm, it's as though you're an artist and awkward is your medium."

Josh just likes to keep things awkward, "Hello there little friend ..."

Sally is way too angry about the whole ghost colony thing.

"That is so adorable I can't even be mad at you right now", good Sally, nobody likes you when you're angry.

"You feel wolfy", wow, maybe that'll help Josh get laid.

"When a woman wants to show you her apartment, it's usually just an excuse to get you in the bedroom", Josh is finally getting lucky!

Wow, of course Josh got too "wolfy" and screws up his chance again.

"I growled", nice description Josh.

Josh is finally taking the opportunity to get it on, in a weird, animalistic sort of way.

Aiden is so cute with that kid, but the kid's kind of weird. Besides, Aiden likes the three stooges? Really?

It's official, Aiden has a MILF admirer.

Right Nora, Josh is real "classy".

Aiden is 257?

Josh's transformation was pretty cool, first clear look we've gotten of a werewolf.

Holy crap, the kid saw the DVD of "two people screwing in a hotel." Being Human is really keeping it classy tonight!

"There he is, Mr. hit and run." Nora is obviously the wittier one in the relationship.

"I'm also not the kind of guy who mounts women spontaneously and has furious animal sex." I take that last one back.

So what did you think of this week's Being Human? Anything stick out to you? Tell me in the comments.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Charlie Sheen is Happy to be Fired from Two and a Half Men

Charlie Sheen's erratic, drug induced behavior has finally resulted in action from his former employer Warner Bros. Today in a statement, Warner Bros. Television has announced that it has fired Sheen from his CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.

The statement from Warner Bros. said:

After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately.

It turns out that not even "tiger blood" could keep the "biwinner" from being fired, but Sheen seams to be happy about this new turn of events. In a comment to TMZ, Sheen offered a strangely worded explanation of his feelings at the news:

This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.

There's no word yet at the fate of Two and a Half Men, which may or may not return next season without Sheen.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

On TV Tonight: Sunday, March 6th, 2011

On NBC at 9/8c, the erroneously titled Celebrity Apprentice makes it's return with "celebrities" including Gary Busey, La Toya Jackson, Star Jones, David Cassidy and Richard Hatch.

On HBO at 9/8c, one of the few remaining episodes of Big Love.

On E! at 11/10c, the premier episode of the new reality/comedy show After Lately, about working on that other comedy show Chelsea Lately.

The up-till-now speculated second All-Stars season will actually be called "The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business" because it features teams who were eliminated with 'Unfinished Business'.

The promo said: "They are some of the most memorable, dynamic, and interesting teams ever to run the race. They didn't come in first. Some didn't cross the finish line. But you love them anyway. For these teams, The Amazing Race competition has always been unfinished business."

The promo included many teams included in a list of rumored Amazing Race 18 contestants, but also teams like father and son Michael and Kevin and home shopping hosts Brook and Claire (both from season 17) that aren't featured in the list. This leaves fans to wonder whether all the teams shown in the promo will be back in 'Unfinished Business', or whether the promo was just misleading.

The promo came at the end of the season finale of The Amazing Race 17, which featured the first all-female winning team, Nat and Kat.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

The Amazing Race 18: All Stars

At the end of last week's The Amazing Race 17, Phil left fans wondering what he meant when he said to tune in next week for an announcement about next season. Of course next season, which will air in early 2011, will be the first to be filmed and aired in HDTV, but that's not the announcement. The next season of The Amazing Race will also be the second All-Stars season, featuring past racers from seasons 12 through 17. TAR 18, which is now in production, will feature 11 teams of familiar faces that were spotted at Los Angeles international Airport boarding a flight for Sydney, Australia. The all too familiar teams are as follows:

Kynt and Vyxsin (12) - A team of "Dating Goths" from the 12th season, they were the first team in Race history to use a U-Turn on a team that was already ahead of them. They were eliminated in the 8th leg after coming in last for the second time in a row (the 7th leg was non-elimination).

Ronald and Christina (12) - A "Father/Daughter" team from the 12th season. They were the first parent-child and Asian-American team to reach the final three and finished in 2nd place.

Amanda and Kris (14) - A "Dating" team from the 14th season, they made it just 4 legs. Most of their notoriety comes from their young age while competing in the 14th season.

Kisha and Jen (14) - A team of "Sisters" from the 14th season, Kisha was the first African-American lesbian featured on TAR. They where famously eliminated when, after being U-Turned and finding the Pit Stop location in time to save themselves, Jen demanded to stop and use a porta potty before finding Phil. If that had not happened, they would have been the first team to not be eliminated after being U-Turned (the U-Turned replaced the Yield in season 12).

Jaime and Cara (14) - A team of "Former NFL Cheerleaders" from the 14th season. They came in second on the final leg, close to becoming the first all female team to win TAR.

Margie and Luke (14) - A "Mother/Son" team from the 14th season, notable because Luke was the first deaf person to run the race. They had the highest finish by a mother/son team, coming in 3rd place in the final leg.

Mel and Mike (14) - A "Father/Son" team from the 14th season, notable because Mel is gay and Mike is bisexual. They were eliminated during the 7th leg.

Flight Time and Big Easy (15) - A team of "Harlem Globetrotters" from the 15th season, they were eliminated in the 11th leg when Big Easy was unable to complete the Roadblock and opted for the 4 hour time penalty.

Zev and Justin (15) - A team of "Friends" from the 15th season, Zev was the first racer to have Asperger's Syndrome. They were eliminated in the 4th leg when they were unable to find Zev's lost passport.

Jet and Cord (16) - A team of "Cowboys" from the 16th season, came in 2nd place in the last leg. Popularized the saying "Oh My Gravy!" with TAR fans.

Gary and Mallory (17) - A "Father/Daughter" team from the 17th season, came in 6th place without winning any legs becoming the first male/female team to be eliminated in their season.

What's interesting to note is the lack of teams from season 13, I would have thought that Andrew and Dan or Toni and Dallas (who were eliminated because of a lost passport) would be included. (I would love to see Nick and Starr back, but teams that have won previous seasons aren't up for consideration.) Also interesting is the over saturation of teams from season 14. If you don't remember, season 14 is known as the gayest season of the race for including the most gay, bisexual and lesbian racers, all of which are returning this season (Mel and Luke are gay, Mike is bisexual and Kisha is a lesbian).

Kisha and Jen better be very grateful for another opportunity to race after Jen's weak bladder caused them to be eliminated. Flight Time and Big Easy are also lucky to be back, they were eliminated after taking a 4 hour penalty in lieu of completing a difficult Roadblock. So, while some of these team choices make sense, others are just clear disappointments.
CBS did great with Medium and CSI: NY, and ABC got away clean with 20/20. On the other hand, NBC's night sucked, with both A Walk in My Shoes (a made for TV movie) and Dateline preforming poorly.
Syfy's Craig Engler just tweeted from the @Syfy account that Syfy will air Caprica's final five episodes in a marathon on Tuesday, January 4th, from 6 to 11 pm.

The airdate information for #Caprica's final 5 episodes has been confirmed: They will air back-to-back on Tues, Jan 4, from 6pm-11pm

This doesn't exactly seem like the ending Caprica deserves, but it's good to know that the episodes are going to air. It looks like Caprica will be getting a send off, even if it's a humble one.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Fringe on Fridays?

Horrible news everyone, now that Fringe has found it's slightly-less-serial self this season, it's being moved to the Friday night death slot. Coming in January, with the return of American Idol, Fringe will be forfeiting it's spot to the aging reality show. Friday has traditionally been a day that shows are moved to before they die, let's just hope that Fringe can be the exception.

More bad news ... can you bear it? No new episode of Fringe this week, new episodes of your favorite TV shows will be taking a Thanksgiving break. The next new episode of Fringe, called Entrada, will be on FOX on December 2nd. The shining light of the situation is that the team is finally going to communicate between worlds again!

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

The Walking Dead: Guts

Could the title of tonight's new The Walking Dead be any more obvious? AMC's new star show will air it's second episode, titled Guts, tonight at 10PM EST. Actually, from reading the description, it might be Rick who has guts, not the undead.

Rick receives some surprise help escaping from a tank surrounded by walkers, and hooks up with a resourceful survivor who leads him to other humans holed up in a downtown department store. The group is none-too-pleased with Rick, whose gunshots have attracted a rapacious rabble of zombies, and he is forced to come up with a gutsy plan to get them out of the city.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

The Amazing Race 17: I Want to Be in the Circus, That's Where I Belong

As the title implies, tonight the Amazing Race is going to be under the big top. Still in Russia, the Amazing Race episode I Want to Be in the Circus, That's Where I Belong should be pretty funny, but from the previews it looks like Michael and Kevin might be at the end of their rope.

The race continues in St. Petersburg, Russia, where the teams must learn a traditional Russian circus act. Unfortunately, multiple racers make a critical error by misreading a clue and thus jeopardize their positions in the race.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Sanctuary: Trail of Blood Recap

The first ten minutes of Trail of Blood revolved around the team picking up a distress signal from a trapped Nikola Tesla, that led them to an old Cabal lab, where vampire source blood has turned a bunch of centipede-like bugs into giant, mutated, people eating centipede-like bugs. Weirded out yet?

When the team finds Tesla in a bunch of caves and tunnels in the Colombian Highlands, surrounded by a bunch of giant bugs (in case you forgot I mentioned it), Will is suspicious that they've let themselves be led into another one of Tesla's schemes. Score one for Will's intuition.

At the end of the episode it's revealed that Tesla was there searching for the vampire source blood (to turn himself back into a vampire), and Magnus isn't pleased. Eventually Tesla "sacrifices" himself to save the others from the bugs, only to live after using his newly obtained magnetic powers to shield himself from the explosion. Seams like a nice way to give Tesla a bit of chivalry without killing off the mildly amusing character (whose antics actually range from mildly amusing to just annoying).

Meanwhile, back at the Sanctuary, Bigfoot and Kate try to track down the killer of a priest who helped Bigfoot find the Sanctuary. The real killer is never caught, but from his reveal at the end of the episode, he'll probably be back.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Felicia Day is Red: Werewolf Hunter

Tonight at 9PM (EST) on Syfy (also on Showcase in Canada), Felicia Day is drawing her guns again (for the first time since her appearance on Dollhouse) to kick some werewolf behind. On her Twitter, she promised that Red would feature "Blood and werewolf harpoons, yes!" Sounds like a winner to us. In an interview with io9, Day refused to reveal details about the plot or the werewolves' specific properties but did have something to say about her upcoming appearance on Eureka.

"I can tell you I'm in many, many episodes [of Eureka] - almost all of the back 10." She also told io9 that's she'll play "a very eccentric scientist who comes to Eureka to work on a secret project" who "has an antagonist relationship with Fargo and Will Wheaton, who plays Dr. Isaac Parrish."

Day, who normally stars on the internet web series The Guild, has taken a longer then normal break to appear in both Red: Werewolf Hunter and Eureka. At this time no information is available about the possibility of future episodes of The Guild.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Caprica: Gravedancing

Tonight at 9 (EST) on Syfy a new Caprica episode Gravedancing will delve even deeper into the life of the first cylon:

When a man enters an office in Boston for a meeting, he becomes disoriented and collapses, only to have his veins erupt and spray blood everywhere. Shortly after Olivia and Peter arrive at the scene to investigate the bizarre case, it's discovered that a lethal virus - with deep ties to something very valuable - is spreading, so the CDC moves in to quarantine the building and eradicate the pathogens. Isolated inside with the rest of the exposed office employees, Peter and Olivia face life-threatening circumstances, sending Walter, Broyles and Astrid on a frantic search for a solution to save them.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Bones: The Proof in the Pudding

Tonight at 8 (EST) on FOX a new Bones episode The Proof in the Pudding will see Bones solving one of the biggest mysteries ever:

Mr. White and his team of government agents put the Jeffersonian Lab on lock down and demand that Brennan and her forensics team determine a cause of death for an unidentified, but highly classified set of remains. As the team gets to work, their findings lead them to suspect they are investigating one of the most famous presidential assassinations in history. As the new day unfolds, an upgraded CTU operates under the command of M.B.A.-schooled, razor-sharp head honcho Brian Hastings, who supervises quirky Chloe O’Brian, expert data analyst Dana Walsh and systems analyst Arlo Glass.

This article was originally posted at TV Tonight.

Fringe: Johari Window

Tonight at 9 (EST) on FOX a new Fringe episode Johari Window has all the makings of a small town cover up:

Following an unexplained attack involving disfigured humans, the Fringe team visits Edina City, a small town in upstate New York, to uncover leads surrounding the bizarre case.
