Every time we eat or drink, we can thank our metabolism for converting all those calories into energy. Our body size, gender, and age all factor into our metabolic rate, but there are also ways to independently increase its speed. And the faster our metabolism, the more calories our body burn off.

Here are 10 ways to keep your metabolism running high all day:

1. Sleep!
Our metabolism are related to our sleep, and not getting enough of it may seriously slow down our metabolism. 6 - 8 hours sleep daily are the best for adult.

2. Drink green tea.
Not only does this superfood pack an antioxidant-punch, researchers have found it speeds metabolism as well. Plus, it’s naturally calorie-free, so there’s no reason not to enjoy a mug (or two).

3. Amp up workout intensity.
Slow and steady may not always win the race. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), such as interval runs, are quick intense exercises that can jumpstart metabolism and keep us burning calories longer after the workout is over.

4. Don’t skip breakfast.
It's the most important meal of the day and it will quick-start your metabolism for the whole day after a long rest of sleep. You should snack on something small, like a bowl of Greek yogurt even you have no AM appetite.

5. Pump some iron.
The weight room isn’t only to help bulk up or get lean. Lifting weights (heavy or light) can also help speed resting metabolic rate, making those dumbbells our new best friends. Don't worry of getting bulky.

6. Gulp some H2O.
Drinking enough water is a simple way to speed up digestion and burn calories. Daily intake 2 litre of water for female and 3 litre for male are recommended. So bring a water bottle with you everywhere you go.

45 minutes on the bike will sped up metabolic rate for over 12 hours, so get off the computer later and start cycling.

8. Eat wisely.
Who knew eating could actually help speed calorie burn? Certain foods like tuna and grapefruit have been shown to speed up metabolic rate. Packing in protein has also shown to boost metabolism, so pick some eggs or oatmeal over pancakes at the breakfast table for a morning metabolism boost.

9. Grab a cup of coffee.
A cup of coffee (or the caffeine in it) is absorbed into the blood stream very quickly, speeding up heart rate and provide a metabolic boost that peaks at about three hours after drinking but don't over drink.

10. Laugh a lot!

As you are getting ready for coming Valentine's Day, you may consider making a special valentine's dessert for your loved one instead of giving a simple box of wrapper chocolates. You will certainly get the key to your loved one's heart by putting your time and hard work on making this delicious White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake.

Ingredients

1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 ( 10 ounce ) package frozen raspberries
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
2 cups white chocolate chips
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
3 ( 8 ounce ) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
Prep Time: 30 minutes, Cook: 60 minutes, Ready in: 10 hours

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F ( 165 degrees C ).
In a medium bowl, mix together cookie crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of the 9 inch spring form pan.
In a saucepan, combine raspberries, 2 tablespoons sugar, cornstarch, and water. Bring to boil, and continue boiling for 5 minutes, or until sauce is thick. Strain sauce through a mesh strainer to remove seeds.
In a metal bowl over a pan of simmering water, melt white chocolate chips with half-and-half, stirring occasionally until smooth.
In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time. Blend in vanilla and melted white chocolate. Pour half of batter over crust. Spoon 3 tablespoons raspberry sauce over batter. Pour remaining cheesecake batter into pan, and again spoon 3 tablespoons raspberry sauce over the top. Swirl batter with the tip of a knife to create a marbled effect.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until filling is set. Cool, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 8 hours before removing from pan. Serve with remaining raspberry sauce.

第一组：鼠和牛。

鼠代表智慧，牛代表勤劳。两者一定要紧密的结合在一起，如果只有智慧不勤劳，就变成了小聪明，光是勤劳，不动脑筋，就变成了愚蠢。所以两者一定要结合，这是我们祖先对中国人的第一组期望和要求，也是最重要的一组。

Ever tried to hold your breath for as long as you can? Most of us have. Well there's a sport that people hold their breath for a really long time and dive down to depths that most human never even approached before without any supports.

As we know, this sport is called Free Diving and it involves going down hundreds of feet into cold and dark waters by holding his or her breath until resurfacing rather than on the use of a breathing apparatus such as scuba gear. It's considered an extreme sport because it is very dangerous and might even cost your life. It's an experimental sport because it is revealing human capabilities which had never even been imagined. It's becoming more popular every year and many people are so interested to try it.

Free diving has been around for a very long time. It was how the ancient Greeks went down for sponges. Without so much as a snorkel, they'd dive to around 100 feet. Today's free divers go down a lot further for fun and sport. They want to join the sea world without disturbing it. No tanks, no bubbles, no noise.

And because of free diving, scientists now know that humans are closer to dolphins than had been thought. Just like dolphins, when we go into cold water a reflex kicks in which slows down our pulse; shifts blood from our extremities to our heart and to our brain. Our spleen contracts releasing oxygen rich blood into our arteries.

Is under the water a place humans belong? Free divers think so. They point out that the amniotic fluid in the womb where a fetus lives for nine months is very similar to seawater. That if a newborn is immediately submerged in a pool it will swim the breaststroke and be able to hold its breath for 40 seconds. It will retain this ability until it learns how to walk. But the human body has several adaptations under diving conditions, which stem from the mammalian diving reflex. These adaptations enable the human body to endure depth and lack of oxygen far beyond what would be possible without the reflex.

Here are some example of the training to be a free diver.

Equalizing Training - Your ears are the most likely physical reason to limit your depth. You can only go as deep as you can equalise your ears.

Technique Training - Having a good technique will save you oxygen, give you better hydrodynamics, and make your dive more enjoyable. This is best practised on the surface in a pool and while doing dynamic apnea.

Breath Hold Training - You need to get “comfortable” holding your breath. This training can include maximums, Co2 tolerance and Hypoxic tolerance.

Relaxation Training - This will make your dive 100 times more enjoyable and save you lots of oxygen.

Lung Training - Slowly adapting your lungs to handle the depth and compression. This can be done with certain yoga exercises and FRC training in shallow pools.

Cardiovascular Training - Gives you a good cardiovascular ability (high Co2 max – oxygen uptake), strong heart and a low resting pulse.

High Intensity Cardio Training - Makes you able to tolerate high levels of lactic acid and making use of the anaerobic energy system.

Muscular Training - Gives you muscles at the right places, trained for what you want them to do and making your movements more energy efficient and relaxed.

Flexibility Training/Yoga - This Training will give you better knowledge of your body and make your muscles more relaxed. Flexibility will give you better technique and decrease the risk of squeeze.

Mental Training - Mental strength and self knowledge is imperative for freediving. Train meditation, visualisation and yoga.

This Restaurant has received countless compliment from most of the people who had eaten here, and you might already heard of it before.

叉烧杨烧腊 Restoran Char Siew Yong, previously known as Jia Jia Lai / Kar Kar Loi 家家来） is a road side stall along Jalan Peel, Cheras that is famous for their char siew, roast pork, steamed Tilapia, braised pork knuckle and braised chicken feet.

The Char Siew looks tasty and all and you would probably think are it tastes awesome, the time when you chew it, it will stick on your teeth for awhile, then you can feel the juicy and fatty portions.

Siew Yok 烧肉

Braised pork knuckle is another specialty here and will be order by those customers who come in groups. It should be dine when served hot or else it will be a little too oily to swallow.

Protein is one of the three major, or macro, nutrients. Unlike carbohydrates and fats (the other two types of macronutrents), proteins are comprised of nitrogen-containing groups called amino acids. There are about 20 different types of amino acids commonly found in foods. All of them are important for building and maintaining muscle, but 8 are vital. These are what’s known as the Essential Amino Acids (EAAs). Contrary to what most athletes believe, there is no actual requirement for protein; the body simply has a requirement for the eight essentials. The EAAs cannot be synthesized in any of your tissues, so they must be obtained through high protein foods. Lean meats, fish, poultry, eggs, milk, cheese, and soybeans are good food sources of protein. Powdered whey, casein, egg, and soy proteins offer the same amino acids as whole food sources in more concentrated doses – with lower levels of calories, fat, carbs, cholesterol, and other non-protein ingredients.

Whey Proteins
Currently the undisputed king of proteins. Here’s why: whey proteins are quickly and easily digested (hence the “fast-acting” description that they’re often given), they are loaded with essential amino acids (EAAs) – including the three branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), and they contain subcomponents (microfractions) that appear to provide benefits above and beyond amino acids and elemental nitrogen. Whey is one of two major dairy proteins and accounts for about 20% of the protein in milk.

Casein Proteins
Comprising 80% of the protein in milk, casein is the dominant dairy protein. Oft referred to as a “slower-acting” or “time-released” protein, because they are digested and absorbed much more slowly than whey or soy proteins. Casein proteins are especially useful when taken at bedtime and during other prolonged periods without eating.

Milk Proteins
Milk proteins are pretty much what you’d expect: dried milk with most of the fat and carbohydrate removed. Like liquid moo juice, powdered milk proteins are about 20% whey protein and 80% casein protein, so utilization is somewhere in between the two.

Egg Proteins
Ask any dietitian, “What’s the best source of protein?” and eggs will probably top the list. In fact, most nutrition textbooks still refer to eggs as the “gold standard” for protein quality. With loads of essential amino acids (EAAs) and some of the highest scores in all measures of protein quality, we’re not going to argue. Naturally dairy-free, eggs are a great alternative to whey, casein, and whole milk proteins for those with milk allergies or severe lactose intolerance.

Soy Proteins
Vegetarian? Don’t do well with dairy or egg? Go green. Like their animal counterparts, soy proteins contain all of the required amino acids in sufficient amounts to support muscle growth and development.

Blended Proteins
If you can only afford one type of protein, this is probably the type that you should go with. Combining faster-, intermediate-, and slower-protein sources in one convenient place, blended proteins give you more sustained protein digestion than single-source proteins like whey, casein, egg, or soy.

Our Graduation Trip, Perhentian Island

We have decide to go Perhentian Island for our trip out of Redang Island and Lang Tengah. It's quite a good choice to go to Perhentian Island cause all of us didn't step on it before and it's a really great experience. Please allow me to show you the fun we had there.

It's US, total of 8 person.

This is where you can jump from. The captain only allow us to jump from the 1st level, but next time I would like to try jump from the top. You'll never feel that alive after you jump, trust me. But be safe only if you know how to swim or have a good guide from your captain.

THIS place is a must to go and JUMP if you're going to Perhentian island. Comment below if you jumped before or wish to jump, we can always share our experience.

Then captain bring us to this place for shower. What's so special about this place, the water here is from the mountain and it's very cold. If you are going over to Perhentian island, this is a place you have to come to feel the mountain water, it feel so fresh, clear and clean.

It's me for the first one

Saw all those photo? Everyone of us are really enjoy showering with the water. The last photo of mine can show you how great it feels. =) And now it's Simon and my sexy back. Gotta train more on my back to get a nicer figure. Extra place we went are, Long Island where all the tourists are, especially foreigner. And the wave there is really nice, where you can go surfing if only you have surfing knowledge. It's not advisable to go too far beyond the beach. You never know what the wave can do to you. Safety first!

This is our only one graduation trip after we finish 3 years Diploma. This 3 years, we really know each others well and did changed / grow a lot. 3 years is like it's just been 3 day or weeks, time flies real fast and it would be the best memories we had. The relationship between everyone of us will still be so strong until our old days. Will blog about my next trip to Bali this July after I come back.

Sky of Umbrellas at Águeda, Portuguese

In Águeda, a small Portuguese town, some streets are decorated with a large number of colorful umbrellas as a part of a public art installation. They seem to float magically in mid-air, creating a colorful shadow and protecting the walkers from the summer sun. Aside from providing a nice shade, it looks delightfully beautiful.

These photos were taken by Patricia Almeida and Diana Tavares. Although these photographers were not directly involved with the creation of the installation, but without them, most of us wouldn’t even know about it. So thanks to them for sharing these beautiful photos!

The restaurant will be McDonald’s first sustainable outlet and 75 per cent of the building and fittings will be recycled or reused and all will be dismantled after the Olympic games end.

It is part of London 2012’s bid to be ‘the greenest Games ever’. The restaurant started on July 28, one day after the opening ceremony of London Olympic Games.

Do you have any idea how to travel around the world in just 6 hours time? We will have it in the future as on April 24 2012, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Darryl - Oster proposed a revolutionary idea for future public transport, through the construction of the vacuum pipe, the speed of public transport to upgrade to an incredible level. If this idea can become a reality, the time will be shortened to only 45 minutes from New York to Los Angeles.

What is Vacuum transport system?

Vacuum transport system is a transport system of air and friction, compared with the train or airplane, this transport system is more secure, while the cost and noise is lower. The pod design of a 6-seat transport traveling in vacuum tubes and weighs 183 kg, the design speed of a staggering 4,000 miles (6500 kilometers) per hour, while energy consumption is far less than traditional transport. By means of a vacuum tube transport systems, passengers from New York to Los Angeles is just 45 minutes, 2 hours from New York to China, however, within six hours you can travel around the world. Isn't it great?

The designer said that this system eliminates the air and rolling resistance, the speed is up to 50 times faster than the electric car or train. According to their vision, the vacuum transport system as a private rapid transport can also be the same as the highway connected into a network, by using vehicle size of pod cabin can sent/transfer passengers to their destination.

The designer pointed out that the construction cost for this system is very low, it's only a quarter of the highway or 1/10 of high-speed rail. The passengers of the vacuum tube transport systems will only affected by a very small acceleration due to gravity effects, but the principles of physics behind it, the designer is still not very clear. The idea to create a vacuum tube transport system came out from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Oster in 1990s. In 1997, he received the patent of this technology.

Just finish watched The Walking Dead season 2 few days ago. Before this I was excited about if the world really become just like The Walking Dead, or maybe there's a place to play the game of Walking Dead. I would love to try it out but my brother replied me with 'if it's really happening, you will definitely freaking out and have no idea what to do.

And now, some virus happened at Miami. It was a shock when I heard Jane Chuckei said about that naked guy actually chewed another guy's face?How that actually happen???? First thing come into my mind was is that really happening as I wish for? Not wish but just random thought of mine after watched the series.

Miami Cannibal: Rudy Eugene was shot dead by police

Just hours before he launched a savage, flesh-eating attack on a homeless man, the ‘Miami Cannibal’ kissed his girlfriend goodbye, told her he loved her and left clutching his Bible.

Rudy Eugene’s partner has spoken for the first time in the wake of the horrific attack, claiming her God-fearing boyfriend was the victim of a Voodoo curse.

Eugene, 31, was shot dead by police as he ripped pieces of flesh with his teeth, growling like a wild animal during the crazed, drug-fuelled attack in a Miami bikepath.

Victim Ronald Poppo, 65, was left fighting for life after Eugene bit his eyes and chewed off his nose, chewing up to 80 per cent of his face off.

However Eugene’s girlfriend claims the attack was completely out of character and believes he was either drugged unknowingly or the victim of something supernatural.

In an interview with the Miami Herald, the woman, who has not been named, said she believes someone put a voodoo curse on her boyfriend.

Speaking to CBS Miami, she also suggested that Eugene, who she had been in an on-off relationship with for five years, was possessed.

“That wasn’t him, that was his body but it wasn’t his spirit. Somebody did this to him.”

She added that Eugene always read the Bible and his last words to her were “I love you and I’ll be back.”

1，事業永遠第一

雖然金錢不是萬能的，但沒有錢是萬萬不能的，雖然這句話很俗，但絕對有道理，所以30歲之前，請把你大部分精力放在你的事業上。

2，別把錢看得太重

不要抱怨自己現在工資低，銀行存款4位數以下，看不到前途，現在要做的就是努力學習，即使你文憑再高，怎麼把理論運用到實踐還是需要一個很長的鍛煉過程，社會永遠是一所最博大的大學，它讓你學到的知識遠比你在學校學到的重要得多，所以同樣，你也別太介意學歷低。 30歲之前靠自己能力買車買房的人還是極少。

3，學會體諒父母

別嫌他們嘮叨，等你為人父了你就知道可憐天下父母心，在他們眼裡你還是個孩子，但他們真的老了，現在得你哄他們開心了，也許只要你的一個電話，一點小禮物，就可以讓他們安心，很容易做到。

4，交上好朋友

朋友對你一生都影響重大，不要去結識太多酒肉朋友，至少得有一個能在關鍵時刻幫助你的朋友，如果遇到這麼一個人，就好好把握，日後必定有用，不管他現在是富還是窮。

5，別太相信愛情

14，請認真工作

即使你現在的工作再怎麼無聊再怎麼低級，也請你認真去對待，要知道任何成功人士都是從最小的事做起，或許你現在學不到多麼了不起的知識，但起碼你要學會良好的工作態度和工作方法，這對以後很重要。

15，請認真對待感情

Good day, finally completed my assignment. Going for internship next month, June, but before that I will work out as hard as possible on this brand new month, May. Body building was always the task I wanna do every single day and it's so good that I attend Body Express Fitness Club to achieve my goals.

Marvel’s The Avengers

Nick Fury asked me what superhero would I be if I could create a new member for The Avenger’s team and how would I save the world? I gave him the answer straight after he asked that question, because I knew the world is being attacked by unexpected enemy.

Here's my answer for him :

Save the world will never been an easy task, but with the new member that's gonna join in The Avenger's team will increase the rate of success in saving the world from the an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security.

Let me introduce the new super hero,

Flash Lantern

A new superhero from the combination of The Flash and Green Lantern. As you know The Flash possess "super-speed", which includes the ability to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes and seemingly violate certain laws of physics.

While Green Lantern possesses a power ring and power lantern that gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it. The ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe and can be very dangerous.

By combining both of them to create Flash Lantern, we will definitely save the world. As we always say, speed is almost everything. We have to always be one step faster than the enemy before they terminate / destroy something. And with the powerful ring, Flash Lantern can do almost anything. There's nothing else can stop him from saving the world.

For example, the party that Ironman bringing to his comrade as shown in the movie trailer, Flash Lantern can just easily take it down with his powerful ring.

The super hero Flash Lantern with the super-speed ability and the power ring will made The Avenger's team much more stronger than before. Therefore, let Flash Lantern show you the Marvel's The Avengers Official Trailer.

Nick Fury is discussing with Nuffnang team whether should let Flash Lantern join The Avenger's at GSC One Utama on 26th April 2012 along with 55 other's super heroes. Meanwhile, Flash Lantern are ready to kick enemy's ass. =)

We have seen tall buildings, we have seen strange buildings, but have you seen buildings in motion that actually change their shape? Sounds unbelievable but not to Dr. David Fisher.

Visionary architect Dr. David Fisher is the creator of the world’s first building in motion - the revolutionary Dynamic Tower. It will adjust itself to the sun, wind, weather and views by rotating each floor separately.

This building will never appear exactly the same twice.

It is amazing but you will have the choice of waking up to sunrise in your bedroom and enjoying sunsets over the ocean at dinner.

In addition to being such an incredible engineering miracle it will produce energy for itself and even for other buildings because it will have wind turbines fitted between each rotating floor. So an 80-story building will have up to 79 wind turbines, making it a true green power plant.

The Dynamic Tower in Dubai will be 1,380 feet (420 meters) tall, 80 floors, apartments will range in size from 1,330 square feet (124 square meters), to Villas of 12,900 square feet (1,200 square meters) complete with a parking space inside the apartment. It will consist of offices, a luxury hotel, residential apartments, and the top 10 floors will be for luxury villas located in a prime location in Dubai.

The Dynamic Tower in Dubai will be the first skyscraper to be entirely constructed in a factory from prefabricated parts. So instead of some 2000 workers, only 680 will be sufficient. Construction is scheduled to be completed by 2010.

The Final Battle of Spartanz Challenge just happened on March 24 2012. I always wish that I could join the challenge and take part in it but just I always clash my schedule with the Challenge time.

It's 4th of April now, I had set a target for myself to achieve in 8 weeks time. Just made my very own body building + self modification schedule, and will try the best out of me to achieve it. Just took a photo of myself for comparison after 8 weeks later.

Anyway, all the staff and people there are very friendly, you can ask them anything about body building or how to keep fit and maintain a healthy body.
