JSL or "JavaScript Library" is, well, a JavaScript Library. It borrows many ideas from jQuery.

Context Menus in Web Application using JavaScript

There are many instances in web development where we have the technology to do something - but we willingly chose not to do it. Context Menus in a web page is one such technology. Implementing a context menu(also known as the right click menu) is relatively simple - but very few apps use it. This is because the users don't expect a right click menu. At least, not yet. I want to re-evaluate our stand on this issue - I want to ask the question - "Are we ready for the Context Menu in Web Apps?"

Hide the Target URL of a Link in Status Bar

There are some instances where you have redirect the user through one page to get them to another page. There is a way to do this stealthily - without letting the user know that there was a redirect. Yes - it sounds evil - but it don't have to be. Say you have a click tracking software - you have to track each click the users make. To do that you need a redirecting page what will track the clicks.

GreaseMonkey Script to Speedup Ajaxian.com

Ajaxian is a very important site for javascript programmers. Unfortunately, it is very slow in my system. The problem is caused by the small fixed background. Firefox takes a long time to scroll due to this. So I decided to solve the problem myself - by writing a greasemonkey script to remove the background on Ajaxian.

Functions to Convert a Hex Color String to RGB Values and Back

A couple of functions to convert between RGB values to a hex color value and back. One function will convert the given Red, Blue and Green values to a Hex code - the format of colour used in HTML. For example, if the values 255,255,255 is given, the hex code #FFFFFF must be returned. The other function will take the hex string as the argument and return an array with three values - red, blue and green.

New JavaScript Library

For the last few weeks I have been working on a new JavaScript Library. Its still not ready(I have to write some more test) for publishing - so I thought that I will create a small preview for it. My library is heavily influenced by jQuery. All the good features belong to jQuery - all the bugs belong to me.
