What’s Katie doing now?

Have you ever stopped to imagine how absolutely exhausting it must be to be Katie Price?

Here she is, arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles just a few hours ago - which some might consider a little strange, seeing as she’s rumoured to be wanted on another continent for a not-so-surprise appearance in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

But latest rumours suggest she’s fulfilling a few work commitments Stateside before joining the jungle reality show a week late - although she’ll still be paid five times more than other contestants. No wonder Katie and her manager are smiling in this picture…

So to recap, over the past few weeks alone, Katie’s hit the headlines for: a cross-dressing book launch, a hospital vigil for son Harvey, a cancer scare, rumoured break-ups and make-ups and the continuing war of words with Peter Andre. Oh, and someone threatened to kill one of her horses.

If you were Katie, wouldn’t you just want to shut up and lie low for a while? Surely no amount of money is worth this amount of stress and hassle. Tell us what you think.

Now, I appreciate that battling addiction in the public eye must have been an absolute nightmare.

I can’t imagine how awful it must be to have the paparazzi camped outside your house 24/7.

And I really don’t want to knock someone when they’re down.

But I just want to ask one thing, Amy Winehouse: is that really any way to dress when you’ve just nipped down to your local pub for the evening?

People, stop the senseless fighting!

Here’s septuagenarian superstar Michael Caine squaring up to cheeky young upstart David Haye, the newly anointed WBA Heavyweight champion. But don’t worry, folks - they were only messing about for the cameras…

The occasion? Last night’s London premiere of Harry Brown, in which Michael plays a vigilante pensioner on a run-down council estate. (Sounds like the kind of film where the laughs just keep on coming, doesn’t it?)

Anyway, Mike and Dave weren’t the only high-profile double act on the red carpet. Him-off-EastEnders Larry Lamb and son George showed up, too…

…as did Her-off-Hollyoaks Hannah Tointon and her former soap siren sister Kara…

But look who didn’t get the memo saying, “Two’s company - three’s a crowd”…

Yep, Phil ‘Twinkletoes’ Tufnell brought wife Dawn and Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Virshila along. Now, that’s just greedy.

The rather eclectic guest list also included actor John Hurt, Bond girl Gemma Arterton, veteran broadcaster Sir David Frost, former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman, DJ and cockney rhyming slang Pete Tong and most of Spandau Ballet. True!

Samanda want to date Jedward!

Of course, if you’re not fully clued up on your C-list celebrity twins, the above headline could read like it’s written in some kind of illiterate secret code.

But for the rest of you… yes, it’s true! Big Brother 8’s Sam and Amanda Marchant have decided for the purposes of publicity revealed they’d love to go on a date with X Factor rapping-and-jumping sensations John and Edward Grimes.

“We love the twins and would definitely go on a double date with them,” Sam - or then again, it could have been Amanda - told Closer magazine. “It would be freaky as we look so much like them. Maybe we’re related. We could be quadruplets!”

Amanda - or maybe Sam - added: “John and Edward have become bigger than the other contestants because they’re setting their own trend with their funky style and their hair.”

The vote of confidence from the Marchant sisters will hopefully go some way towards boosting Jedward’s spirits, after they were so cruelly mocked by yet more celebrity twins, the Cheeky Girls, last week.

“They can’t really sing - they’re totally out of tune,” Gabriela ‘Cheeky’ Irimia told The Sun. Well, it never did you any harm, did it love?

What a line-up! Last night saw a whole gaggle of Hollywood superstars - including a chummy-looking Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Julia Stiles - congregate in a New York theatre to perform this year’s 24-Hour Plays.

Not familiar with 24-Hour Plays? Nor was I - but it turns out it’s not the most bum-numbing theatre experience in the world. It’s simply a series of 10-minute plays, in which the actors don’t get to see their scripts until 12 hours before the curtain goes up.

Apparently, Jen had to sing ‘Yellow Submarine’ during her performance - but presumably she already knew the words to that one before she got the script. Fix!

And afterwards, she got to pose for pics with Demi and Ashton Kutcher…

Is it just me or does Ashton look like a giant in that picture?

Also there? Newly engaged The Young Victoria star Emily Blunt and Away We Go’s John Krasinski looked suitably loved-up…

And Eva Mendes bowled up, looking mildly eccentric (but gorgeous nonetheless)…

Incidentally, Eva says she’s hoping for more gritty film roles to come her way - but they keep going to Kate Winslet instead. Them’s the breaks, Eva.

Rihanna’s the Woman of the Year!

Oooh - doesn’t Rihanna look glamorous?

As well she might - because the singer was among the 10 women honoured at last night’s Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York.

Rihanna was presented with the Back-on-Top Superstar gong - partly because of her bravery in speaking out about domestic violence and encouraging other women to do the same.

Supermodel Iman, who presented the award, told the audience: “This year, we saw a different face of Rihanna. She’s an indelible image of worldly pain and now, more than ever, I am more than impressed with her honesty and courage.

“She has taken her own scars and used them to create a new story of strength and awareness.”

Other stars honoured at the event included fashion designer Stella McCartney, writer and poet Maya Angelou and US First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as several very deserving medical experts and charity campaigners.

Hmmm… Glamour’s US ceremony is all very nice and worthy - but it’s not quite the same without Lily Allen being carried out drunk or Kirsty Gallacher in a see-through dress, is it?

Britney ‘extremely upset’ at walk-out claims

Tsk! Moaning about Britney Spears lip-synching is so last year - but it seems news has only just reached Australia.

Poor Britters - pictured above with a nice cup of tea and a comfy cardigan - has just embarked on a 14-date tour Down Under, but she’s already been roundly slammed for not singing live.

And according to tour manager Paul Dainty, the pop princess is “extremely upset” by reports that around 100 fans walked out of her Perth gig when they realised the star was merely miming the words to her songs.

The furore comes after New South Wales Minister for Fair Trading - the aptly named Virginia Judge - urged ticket agencies to warn fans about stars who don’t sing live. “Live means live,” she snapped.

A great big fuss over nothing? US singer/Lothario John Mayer - who’s also currently in Oz - certainly thinks so.

Responding to the media storm, he Tweeted: “If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-synching at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you.”

A word to the wise: if you’re wondering what happens when pop stars try to sing and dance at the same time, just type the words “John & Edward” into the search box on YouTube.

Take That’s Mark ‘booed at his wedding’

Congratulations to Take That’s Mark Owen and his long-term partner Emma Ferguson who tied the knot in a candlelit ceremony at Cawdor Church in the Scottish Highlands yesterday afternoon.

Mark and Emma reportedly turned down big-bucks picture deals from glossy magazines so they could get married in private - but that didn’t stop crowds from turning up for a spot of rubber-necking outside the church.

Now, according to The Sun, the happy couple were booed by fans for not posing for pics afterwards. But I can’t help thinking the “fans” in question may just have been disgruntled members of the paparazzi.

Besides, it’s not like the snappers had that much to moan about. After all, they managed to get several pics of Mark and his Take That bandmates before the ceremony.

Why wear just one dress on the red carpet when you could spend the whole night wandering backwards and forwards in various outfits?

Last night’s MTV Europe Music Awards saw a plethora of costume changes from high-profile stars. An example? Our very own Leona Lewis showed up in a pair of Vivienne Westwood harem pants but then thought better of it and changed into one of Viv’s corset ballgowns instead.

Mind you, that was nothing compared to the 12 (yes, 12!) different outfits worn by host Katy Perry.

I’ll spare you the picture of Katy in her customised West Ham corset (I’m not making that one up, by the way) - but here she is in a jewel-embellished mini and a floor-skimming Marchesa gown…

And Joss Stone rang the changes with a blue satin playsuit and a one-shoulder white frock…
