From the Thatchers in Ireland

“I mentioned in one of our recent email updates about having an Irish lady, her son and mom who visited for the first time with us after four years of contact in the local grocery store in which she works.  She has been given our Christmas gift packets each year, and we have gotten to know her and a few other shop workers as well.  Please continue to pray for our outreach opportunities.  Plans are being made for one of the boys at church to be baptized, and an Irish family is planning to join the church this Sunday.  These are some great steps forward.  There are some others that need to be baptized and some that ought to join the church.  I am praying that the example and stepping out of some will challenge and encourage others.  We have a few health issues going on at the moment.  Lisa is working through some things concerning her upper back and neck.  She developed a problem with her left foot as well.  Kari seems to have come up with a thyroid situation that is being checked out.  Keep us in your prayers on the health front.”

Church Family – Our quarterly pitch-in meal is Sunday March 4 after the morning service.  Please bring 2-3 dishes to pass and your own table service.

New study beginning Sunday March 11: 9:45 – 10:45 a.m.  Putting Your Past In Its

Place – Moving Forward in Freedom and Forgiveness.  Some believe “our past is nothing”

and suppress the brokenness and disappointments.  Others believe “our past is everything”

and allow it to control the present and future.  Neither approach moves us toward healing

or hope.  Interested?  Sign up on the table in multi-purpose room.

Thursday March 15 – Baptists For Life Banquet at Meijer Gardens.

Saturday March 17 – CPR class – 8:00 – noon.  Sign up on the table.  Cost:$25

Sunday March 25 – 6:00 p.m.  “Messiah In The Passover”.  This will be a Seder Meal

presented by Boris Goldin.  Please sign up so that plans can be made.  An offering will

be received.
