Interesting. How do you suppose that we get onto the airways to talk about health and sanitation education? At our bake sale, Frog invited us to be guests on his program on the U of O radio station.

ODA,

Yeah, I’d be really happy to work with ODA. Here’s how I see our collaboration functioning: Essentially, one SGH’s larger components for next year will be the spread and galvanization of “community contacts.” We’re hoping to find people interested in global health, HIV, and social justice in the Eugene area and include them on an advisory board to assist in the spread and success of our organization. Additionally, I’m hoping that we’ll be able to find grants to support some of the work we’re doing. What I’d like to see is global health related ODA projects coming under the umbrella of an “SGH/ODA” partnership project, so that

you can receive our funds
we can tout our direct action component to recieve more funds
we can also actively involve our student body in real applications of public heath principles

it’s a win-win situation as far as I’m concerned. I’ll post more of my official thoughts later.
