Delta Faucet Mom Ambassador #WomansIn2ition

Our first home has definitely turned into quite the project. We started in the living room by ripping out the carpet and putting down hardwood. I was excited to be chosen as a Delta Faucet Mom as our bathroom was in need of something beautiful and new. Our most pressing need at the moment was to replace our old shower head. It had been in our bathroom since we moved in and has begun to leak and we noticed that no matter how much we cleaned it, it felt like less water was coming out.

We put so much into the living I was ready to tackle this DIY project. I have installed a shower head before so even with the easy to follow instructions that came with my Delta In2ition Shower head.

I will go into the installation later. I love the style and design of the Angular Modern In2ition Showerhead. I had been so used to the regular round shower I was anxious to see how it would look installed and working. It also did not hurt that there were no leaks!

Features abound with the Angular Modern In2ition Showerhead

A lever positioned on the side of the showerhead lets the user set the In2ition shower to one of three options: showerhead and handshower, showerhead only and handshower only.
All In2ition models feature a variable spray handshower, letting the users choose from relaxing massage or invigorating spray.
A pause setting reduces the water to a trickle, helping to conserve water when a full stream is not needed (like when lathering up or shaving).
A flexible 60-inch hose that conveniently stretches to 82 inches provides extra reach and flexibility before returning to its original length.
The shower is quick and easy to install. Simply remove the existing showerhead and screw the new shower into the base.

My favorite feature is the H2Okinetic Technology

It is an internal system that controls the speed, movement and even the droplet size of the water coming out of the showerhead and it actually does feel like more water even thought it is not using more water.

Saving Money on Childrens’ Furniture

For many parents, decorating the nursery is one of the best parts. But it’s also expensive and the prices vary so much. For example, a new crib that converts into a toddler bed from $20 to hundreds of dollars, and even thousands of dollars, depending on where you buy it.

And even if you buy furniture that is designed to grow with your child, you might still have to replace it long before you really get any use out of it.

But there are ways to furnish your child’s room, without breaking the bank.

Friends and Family

Friends and family are a great source used baby furniture because you know where the items came from. Also, chances are, they will have tastes similar to yours and you will be more likely to get something that you like. The disadvantage is that, while you might know where it came from, there is no guarantee that it will be in good condition. And if the item is an heirloom, you might have to give it a little TLC before it becomes usable.

Consignment Shops

Stores like Once Upon a Child and Baby Baby Plus More sell gently used baby and child furniture and clothing for a fraction of the cost of new. These places also buy your used items for cash or store credit toward future purchases. Some of these stores even carry maternity clothing and children’s clothing up to junior sizes. The advantage to consignment shops is that they ensure everything they sell is of good quality. The disadvantage is that supplies are based on what people bring in for consignment. If you are looking for a specific brand or item, it might not be in stock.

Thrift Shops

Like consignment shops, thrift shops rely on people in the surrounding area bringing their used items in for resale. The big difference is that people don’t get cash back for they items they bring into thrift shops. As with the consignment shop, the thrift shop will check items to make sure they are in good condition, however their criteria for accepting and reselling items could me more lax than your average consignment shop. Thrift shops could also be cheaper than consignment because the store does not have to pay a cut to the donator. As with consignment, supplies are based on what comes in so certain items might not be in stock.

Black Friday Specials

Black Friday is about more than just cheap electronics and early holiday shopping. You can also take advantage of Black Friday specials for children’s furniture and clothing. If you don’t want to deal with the crowds, you can often find online specials through Amazon and other retailers. If you do decide to brave the stores, you could find that everyone is so focused on the electronics that you have smooth sailing in the baby department.

Discount Codes and Coupons

Manufacturers and retailers always offer specials and discounts on the products they offer, you just have to find them. Search online coupon services, like Deal Gator or Nerd Wallet, for The Land of Nod promo codes, or codes for other baby retailers. You can also go straight to the retailer, or manufacturer, website to look for coupons or discount codes.
